Snowflakes In the Mind

Snowflakes In The Mind What do they look like People, ideas, objects, memories, visions, sensations, passions. Vanished like snowflakes on the tip of your tongue. The transient fragrance of a new born held close to your breast. Smoke rising from the campfire at the end of day. The rolling thunder sound of storm, and lightening to lite the sky. The heat of passion as the light flashes out. The eyes that glaze over at the close of life while you hold the hand and then cradle only the form without light. Like snowflakes-each one is unique, never seen before or to be seen again. Like snowflakes they all vanish to be held only as memories. David R. Holmes February 27, 2021

I love your perspective on the uniqueness of life. Each life has meaning; it's a pity we lose track of those who went before us. Congratulations on a second place in the contest! Best wishes, Carolyn

Words definitely to ponder on David. This is a great write. Although unique, I like the idea that when they fall, snowflakes create one blanket on the land. Cheers - Gary

Thank you for your comments. As you have said, each snowflake according to teaching is unique in its shape and size and perhaps the details of water content. Each memory we have is unique. Snowflakes fall to blanket the ground or images fall like snowflakes on the mind, where they disappear like snowflakes in form but leave lasting memories which are embedded in our minds, to be brought to our awakening thoughts to fill our days on this our journey. Once again, thank you. David
