Frowned Poems | Examples

More than just a soft toy

You were there when the dark
crept loud through the door,
when my tears made small rivers
that stained to your core.
You never once left me,
you never once frowned,
you just held my silence
till sleep came around.

Your fur is all matted,
your seams pulled apart,
but I know every thread
is stitched into my heart.
Others see fabric,
old stuffing, worn eyes
but they don’t see the love
that your silence implies.

I’ve told you my secrets,
the ones I can’t say,
and you guard them so tightly
they won’t slip away.
You’re my courage, my anchor,
my shield, my safe place,
the first thing I reach for
when life feels unsafe.

One day they will tell me,
“You’re older—move on.”
But you’ll never be gone, Bear,
you’ll never be gone.
Even if I outgrow you,
and tuck you away,
you’ll live in the child
who still needs you each day.

So I’ll whisper a promise
to your threadbare old ear:
wherever I wander,
I’ll keep you near.
For you’re more than soft fabric,
more than my toy
you’re the keeper of childhood,
my comfort, my joy

I seem to do everything wrong,
or else I just take too long.
I won't wear a dress
and my hair's always a mess.
I can't tell a joke
and yes, I still smoke.
Everything I do
is frowned on by you.
Now you've gone to heaven above;
I'll never be able to win your love.

I smiled

              You frowned

                                     I winked

                                                     You bound

The essence in us is the same as the essence of the sun
Cast to be found and displaced
stake and brave to a common bound
new to a four-point barrel of rolls
because me this search point opening
bumper speed as slow to show eternal
for they came brain to some knowledge
In inspired to college for they are acknowledged
to brave and creep lot and low in each
believe and see us fetch for they are gone
let us see your heart at our neck
so, believe a person outside but won't chief
food of support bait on the court
range to a bird that is frowned abound
girl is spins above order just and open
sidetracked or railroad tracks
walk a pound trail of Bizzle and God
rapper of obtention or complete mindless
nation wise and starting writing to best
space minds earth higher combine special gifts......

Bare Autumn trees frowned - all their colorful leaves lay on the ground

Autumn holds them at bay – cold Winter winds want to come out to play

Seasonal work suited Autumn to a tee - rest of year fancy free

Colors whirl 'round and 'round
and the child twirls around
the sun-filled room with joy
and laughter, heaven bound,
not knowing life cut short
when cruel nature frowned.

Laconic Teutonic

To cross the street Herr Biedermeyer
made a firm election:
the spot was safe – Gefahrengasse -
strictly one-direction.

But, looking south and stepping out,
he got a sharp surprise:
a car, approaching from the north,
was hidden from his eyes.

It knocked him in the air, and soon
had sped away and gone.
Herr Biedermeyer had a lot
to muse and ponder on.

No bones were broken, no blood shed:
no blasphemy, no oaths:
he knit his brow in thought, and frowned,
and dusted-off his clothes.

The German mind’s a splendid thing
(think Schopenhauer, Kant):
but nimbleness is not its bag –
it’s no-one’s corybant.

“The street’s one way, and thus,” surmised
this latter-day Von Papen,
“nothing hit me. I’m immune.
No accident could happen.”

American Buffalo

Where have all the bison gone
shot by Sharps shooters nearly every one
where have all the shooters gone
done away by Indians more than some
the red man revered the buffalo
of Manitou's abundance living proof
to the white who sent them
to the not-so-happy-hunting grounds
a gold mine on the hoof
the paleface ways in olden days long gone
were somewhat less than perfect
and should be frowned upon
to soldiers bison were target practice
indigenous people to quell
while hunters killed for the hides
by 1884 the Black Hills buffalo death knell
lies were spoken treaties broken
but revenge was none too soon at hand
Sioux Cheyenne Arapaho attacked
and briefly turned the tide
on what was their rightful land
beside the Little Bighorn
one frightful day at Custer's last stand

A girl,(her long baby blue dress,)was sat
a pace behind me(golden earrings gleaming);
She smiled(her waterfalling hair fell streaming)
to me as I turned to her(eyes!)and at

(her freckles sparkled)a glancing cue to chat
(in her rosy lips)went teasing,—we scheming—
(a grinning wink,)—one kiss, then two or(dreaming),
who was the mouse? moreso, who was the cat?

At dinner,(candles lit her flickered face,)
a tableful of people,(how she glowed!)
she in a scarlet dress—but I alone,
apart from(her)the group, I turned a stone.
—(her crimson lips)she spoke(her frowned brow showed),
“I’m giving you a chance.—(please learn your place…)”

I can smile

I can smile ,sure I can ,
But I forgot how to smile , memories faded ,
Time whispered ,days gone ,
Promises withered ,gain lost ??.

I can love ,trust me I can ,
But loving requires trust ,that I have not ,
They took my innocent soul,
Taught it to repeat the oath - trust no one !

I can be happy ,trust me I can ,
But I don't anymore ,I become an adult,
Adults don't laugh, they warn with frowned faces ,
I guese that's life ??- that God made !

In the cup
Of my hands,
I caught
Cool raindrops;
Blowing breath
Into warm palms,
I watered fields of lilies
And quenched thirsting doves:-

An awakening smile
Quickly frowned
At the sound
Of loud, bursting bombs
And wailing screams of children:
The fantasy of peaceful dreams,
The nightmare of warring reality:-

                                      is an extraordinary word
Good thing that Google was invented
Great way to find the meaning of difficult words
Today a fantastic source of learning

In fact, it is truly impressive
I must admit I frowned for a while
... thirty-five letters in one word
It’s so easily to do it complicated for ourselves,
                                  before everything falls into place

Take me to where love learns no more

I saw him standing there
Looking at me in the distance
Our eyes met
My blood rushed
My cheeks rosy,
Only filled with regret

Standing in the distance was him
I walked over where he once held my hand,
He frowned in disappointment,
Stopping for a minute
He walked towards me
I walked away
Leaving him alone
I still turned toward him

I saw him standing but I couldn’t look away
I said no more,
I walked away heading into the night,
only my heart and soul felt him
He was still standing there

I continued walking
Reaching the point he’d be gone forever,

I turned around
Walked towards him
Told him “I once loved you”
Now I walk away

The light is on so now dance!
No more living life in a nanby-pamby trance.

You’re eighteen now boy no more.
Man now you are, forget all those ‘lessons’ from before.

Men are men and know the score.
They’re there for you take galore!

Stand up straight and be a lad!
Pints and shots must now be had!

The wild in you now must be fed.
Then tamed your wild will be until you’re dead!

The world is cold, the world is weird.
You’re nothing until you’ve bed a score or more and proved your ‘hood’!

So this is what it is to be?
Remember success is who you know not who you be!

The loner types think too much and try to feel.
They look at life and try to find the quiet deal.

A thoughtful appreciation is frowned upon. Stag nights and strippers in Marbella is where you belong?

Walk your path, find your way.
If materialistic proof and money is your ‘hey’. I’m sure that life will treat your days and years in this superficial, unreflective, simplistic way.

Premium Member As Another Petal Falls

Last week I cut a bouquet of flowers
from my garden and now they’re withering.
It fills me with melancholy memories
about a time when my love was new
and gently flowed within my heart.

Time between bud to bloom and death
of the once velvet petals has come too soon.
I've watched their bright colors fade
and frowned when some fell away.
It's as if their drooping faces
means their heartbeat is slowing down.

I sighed when in twilight's lavender embrace,
another petal fluttered to the floor.
I'm reminded of the childhood daisy game
and think, Will the last petal fall
as I whisper, "He loves me not?"

I hope it gently descends without grief,
but no relief will I find in its departing.
How I will mourn when at last, it dies,
leaving me with the sense of another loss.
I've held on as long as a bloom to its stem.
In the mayhem of life, I've had reason to sigh.

Memories linger inside my heart,
although my love and I have grown apart.
I am recalling each beautiful year
of the love we once had and then lost.
A tear for each one, I sorrowfully cried.
In despair, I will softly whisper goodbye
and weep as the last wilted petal falls.
