Divine Delight

I like my doughnuts raised and glazed
coffee black and sweet
my fish a salt and battered
but you're my favourite treat
Indian is hot and spicy
Chinese it gets old
Italian can be fat and greasy
salad leaves me cold
I like my dumplings round and plump
vegetables stir-fried
prefer my fruit firm and fresh
but you're the best I've tried
man cannot live on bread alone
or so I was taught
you're my soul food make me whole food
you're my food for thought
I like my chicken finger-licking good
martini stirred not shaken
my medicine with sugar
but you're the best I've taken
there's no confusion I've come to the conclusion
if nothing else you are delicious
and at the risk of sounding repetitious
I've decided you're decidedly delicious

your favourite 4 Apoet is born

Lonely dark nights ,
and the heart too is left alone,
then within every heart,
a poet is born.
Stringing together the memories of old days , like beads upon a thread of thoughts,
and weaving them into beautiful words,
he enchants every heart.
Then, in that city of dreams,
a poet is born.
Whether in moments of sorrow
or in fleeting seconds of joy,
gathering every experience,
he threads them into fragrant melodies
and flowing waves of song.
Then, within that universe of the heart,
a poet is born.
The secrets buried deep within the chest,
become companions in solitude.
When they unfold in lonely nights,
they find rhythm upon the page.
In every ache of those hidden secrets,
a poet is born.
Lonely dark nights ,
and the heart too is left alone,
then within every heart,
a poet is born.

My favourite color

Men weren't taught how to cry, so I will teach.

Any mere person would run away if they knew
the devils my brain shelters.

I feed my monsters with my thoughts
and entertain them with crime stories.

I love the taste of my blood—
the tint it leaves behind,
that perfect shade of red once it dries.

I’m the one who drives past the howling dogs,
rolls down the window in the middle of the night,
watches horror movies
like I’m preparing for a battle that hasn't happened yet.

I collect every way there is
to track, to hunt, to kill.

I live for the moment
I stop being prey
and become the predator.

I’m a lover, not a hater—
but nobody ever mentions
"gore cinephile".

Every movie becomes a spectacle
when red is its main color palette.

Coming back to men—
the most boring topic in this entire journal—

would he savor the violence on screen the way I do,
or curl into my arms instead?

Honestly, I’d love both.

As long as he’d let me taste his blood.

Let me be clear—
I’m not a serial killer,
not a sadist.

…I’m just a girl.

Premium Member Snacks - to each his own

My sister's favourite 'snack' is filet mignon.
I'm less of a carnivore
and will be quite satisfied
with caesar salad and a baguette.

Of course I'll want to wash it down
with a generous glass of pinot grigio.

Zucchini chocolate cake is dreamy.
It melts with decadence in your mouth.
Whose birthday needs a cake?

I Think My Favourite Colour is Blue,

The glossy midnight blue
we observe within the folds of our galaxies
when we chart maps
and connect constellations.

The hue that encompasses luminous stars
with azure veils sailing well into
eternal night on the seas of space-time.

The shade synonymous with
the vastness of the universe,
whose very name recognizes
that infinite possibilities lie
beyond our marble's glass dome.

But I hesitate to label
this shape of blue my favourite,
because it doesn't truly exist.

Its light is from
somewhere between gamma and radio waves,
but someplace beyond the visible spectrum.

Even if I were to gaze into the body of space
and check between each of night's sparkling eyes,
I would go blind,
and become nothing more
than old dirt on older ground
before I ever glimpsed this colour.

Premium Member Our Favourite Colours

When you told me you love green and blue,
I happily said they're also my favourites too.
But in case you weren't believing me entirely,
I explained colourful scene in my mind I see.

I also told you another favourite of mine,
Purple, like cartoony mountains so fine,
As well as blue for skies, green for meadows.
I realized something special about us shows.

Those three colours, are the higher chakras:
Our open hearts, open minds, psychic auras.
We love these colors, we're unlike any other,
We are same, always meant to be together.

You are my beloved decreed by the stars,
You and I meant to heal each other's scars.
Someday we may see my colourful scene
And you will fully see just what I mean.

Premium Member My Favourite Colors In The Rainbow What The colors Tasted Like

When the rainbow seen
After a rainfall pouring
With the sun shining
I would look upward
Seeing the colors

Of the rainbow seen
Bright colors shining
looking to to the sky
I ponder the colors
What would they taste like?

I chose my colors
I wanted to taste
My first color could
Be red then yellow
Then I would choose white

Picking one color
It would be red
It tastes like cherries
Yellow taste like lemon pie
i love these flavours

Of the rainbow picked
Then blue for blueberries
Then white for mint
I enjoyed these taste
What color would you pick?
What would it taste like?

Egghead

There was a fanciful maid
who joined the Easter Parade
about whom if I could
a poem I would pen
then again
a whimsical sonnet
with an egg or two
and chicks but a few
on her favourite Easter bonnet

And They're Off!

As religion is discretionary
(not hereditary)
it's like a day at the races
a trip no less and here's a tip
while going through your paces
first check the horses' form
pick your odds-on favourite
as is the norm
from worst to best
(forget the rest)
put money on the nose
and place your bet
for yours to win
not those which show(s)
high-risk is high-reward
on the scoreboard
at the rail(s)
say a prayer take note
it never fails
for a day out big buck
winner's tote payout
and with a little luck
through thick and thin
your horsemanship
will come in

But what about the jockeys?
It's not the stakes, bookies' odds,
or those holding the reins...
it's all in the hands of the Gods.

My Favourite Blush

"My Favourite Blush"

You were the tint that met my cheeks,
a quiet warmth the world couldn’t see.
My favourite blush soft, sudden, sweet,
you painted my calm with rosy heat.

I wore you like a secret hue,
a touch that made the gray feel new.
Every smile had your shade in it,
every heartbeat, your colour's limit.

But pigments fade, and time will show,
even sunsets learn to let go.
Now my mirror knows my face again
bare, but brave; no stain of then.

Still, I find myself some nights,
pressing air like it holds your light
as if the emptiness could hush,
and give me back
just one more blush.

My favourite blush, you were never mine to keep,
just a tint that taught my heart to leap.
And though you’ve left, I still feel the rush
still trying to find a trace of you,
my favourite blush.
