In January, the kaboom of fireworks
Redefining glitter above us: What if
The sky was pink, should purple rain besmirch us
Yet, don a cheer for New Year.

In February, the appearance of bouquets, cordate chocolates
Many secret loves trespassing sticky notes
Lovely nothings hang mid-air. 

In March, the hope of summer
springing like anxious fledglings pushed off their perch
Rain becomes wet

Crows and me

Sitting in the balcony, I sit blank and stare
Two crows in the tree, some flying in the air
They hop and play without care or worry
I watch them with fancy, don’t know why I feel sorry

They have all the time, and no boss to please
No responsibilities, no bills, no school fees
No one to shout, and no

CHOOSE LIFE

In every sunrise, I embrace the light,  
In faith like rivers, flowing pure and bright.  
In the laughter of family, like petals that bloom,  
In the dance of the real, I cast away gloom.  

The power of choice is a vibrant spark,
For a humble heart shines brighter than the dark.

When i’m gone
They’ll all have moved on
I'm already a ghost
Haunting over the life id already lost

They’ve never saw me turn into a adult
I moved too fast
When i lost so young when i was gone i my tears taste like salt
I knew id never last

I sat waiting for god wondering why he’s running late
I stood waiting

Am I okay?

Should I give up?
Trying her best, but it isn't enough.
Giving it her all, but it isn't enough.
"Is that all?"
"Can't you try harder?"
"Do more!"
All these meaningless opinions 
effecting me, barging in.
When will it go away?
Sleepless nights, silently crying. 
When will someone listen and not judge me?
Can't they let me be ?
Can't stop my thoughts from being

Blue Cheese

My mother likes blue cheese.
She said it was an acquired taste,
Only the most sophisticated,
Dined on it’s musky scent.
Though I hated blue cheese,
I swallowed it down.
Hard.
Grotesque.
There was nothing I hated more than blue cheese.
But if it meant being accepted,
I’d pretend.
Over time,
Blue cheese became my friend.
It made me laugh.
It comforted me when no one else could.
Who cares

NOTHING LASTS FOR EVER

Unknown to mortals,
is the time to depart.
For it is short but insightful,
It is fast but impactful,
Life,
with them tears and laughs,
joy and sorrow,it is purely finite,
for both the early springs and the grey.

Real Family Life

After years of grad school, I decided to get married, 
My parents found a beautiful girl a few years younger than me, 
After the arranged wedding, our love life began, 
She came to USA from India when she was cute young girl. 

Getting adapted to the new environment was tough, 
Everything was new, and different,

Thanksgiving Day

How was your year, folks out there
Feel thankful for what life bestows?
At dinner time say a prayer
For days of poetry and prose

Yam, turkey, cranberry and salad
Potatoes, cornbread, apple cake
The banquet worthy of a ballad
The smell of home, bread freshly baked

Three generations at the table
Enjoy great time and tasty meal
Thanksgiving Day of roundtable
Puts everything on even

My Daily Itinerary

Day Begin
Wake up early like birds
Pray, exercise, think, less worry.

Day end
Close encounter with traffic
Patience, fix composure, relax, silence.

Bed time
Dine, talk with your family
Play chess, kiss goodnight, pray, sleep well.

Weekend 
Spend more time with family
Talk more, smile more, love more.

Simple happiness on a weekend:
A simple family bonding
Eat together, going to the park
Children feeding the fish
A little window shopping
Buying second hand books
Children playing at the arcade
Meeting family friends.
