Every Poems

In Every Lifetime

In this lifetime she is a mutt,
Small, Scrappy, sleepy, sweet,
Blinking eyes and gnawing teeth,
I'd know her in every lifetime,

In the one before she was tall,
Aching legs and honeycomb eyes,
Dutifully beautiful, kind, loyal,
A shadow with a wagging tail,

Before that she was white as snow,
Playful, pitiful, pretty, pale,
Sitting on the carpet awaiting my dad,
as I played with

Over One Percent Of Floridas Prisoners Die Every Year In Prison And It's Never In The News

the sun cooks the fences
the guards smoke and laugh
men rot behind steel,
stacked like moldy bread.

over one percent
they die—
nobody counts
except the families,
and the dirt.

a body here,
a stabbing there,
sickness in the cells
that medicine never touches.

no cameras come,
no headlines scream.
just a whisper in the dark,
and silence sells better than truth.

every sorrow

~
i dreamt of a background
my thoughts could erase,
when laughter and teardrops
fell lost in this place,
and teacups from Denver
held soft drinks instead,
while words that you shouted
still ring in my head,
will anyone notice
that truth is a pawn,
to whisper a farewell
the day I am gone,
for promises shattered
are all they can be,
when every sorrow
is best friends with me

sweets and every day

every day and a sweet shop

On a plateau in the middle of nowhere, there was
a shop selling chocolate and week-old newspapers
I had no money, but in exchange, the man
accepted a hail of hay, the farmer gave when he
told me to go make my own bed, I had slept with
The milkmaid he had wanted for himself
as

Untitled and Shamed

Bhut Jolokia coin, loud and side
she smiled
moving toward speaking
the extended metaphore
of rain.
involve a glide from one vowel sound
to another vowel sound
all within the same syllabylle
to another within the same syllable
(like "oi" in "coin", where the cenrity of
the composer and the lyricst are
combiined in the effect to convey the right means

Every animal has eyes
to keep upon the others,
and avoid or cause surprise
among his animal brothers.

Be they predator or prey,
their eyes hope to reveal
chances that this is the day
they eat or become a meal.

Every Girl's Dream

That girl splatters her faiths in colors of adoration,
Adoration of spineless whispers carried by heavens beyond,
Beyond the biosphere where her sentiments goad to creek,
Creek tender desires into every reverie.

Reverie curtains her realm in silk and gold,
Gold resembling the narratives my girl’s yet to articulate,
Articulate by an expression that is so tender and genuine,
Genuine as the

LIFE MISERY

Trouble created by
People
Solve by
People
Diseases created by
People
Cured by
People
Then they become boastful.

Know what
You're made for
So; you don't
Settle for
What you're prey to or for.

Every breath is a blessing
Every air lesson
As you inhale and exhale
You realize the value of breath
If you don't know
What you were made for
You'll settle and

Premium MemberIn the depths of every soul lies a secret story

In the depths of every soul lies a secret story,
A place where sins and desires slowly weave a tale,
We are travelers through shadows, bearing unknown guilt,
In the silence of the night, memories become unseen wings.
Every heart carries a secret, an unspoken crime,
A thought born from the desire to be free and loved,
Beneath the mask of

along life's journey
simple joys are the gems
to be stockpiled and amassed

opportunities are simply
bits of freedom to blossom
into time well savoured

The Universe Retains All the Knowledge of Every Civilization That Ever Existed

In the black throat of space, words spiral,
Charred syllables drifting like moths to no flame.
Every book, every prayer, every curse
Finds its way into the bone-dust of stars.

I dream of archives stitched into the dark,
Veins of memory pulsing through nebulae—
All our hands, bloody or tender,
Catalogued in the frost of dead moons,
And liquid methane.

The universe hums like

EVERY FAMILY GOT ONE

Every family got one
That one family member who
You won't invite to the cook-out
Because you know that they'll
Do something stupid to turn it out
And pissed everyone off, might
Even cause a fight to breakout
Every family got one
That one family member
Who's the jokester, who sit
Around and tell those tall tales and
Have everybody laughing even
Though you know

Every scream has an echo

Every scream has an echo.

In alleyways slick with rain,
Where mothers light candles
For sons who won’t come home again.

It rattles through church halls —
Empty pews, silent choirs —
Where prayers turn to ash
In unholy fires.

Every scream has an echo.

In the stomach’s hollow roar,
Where children count cracks
On splintered floors,
Dreaming of feasts
They’ve never known,
Sucking on pennies,
Pretending they’re stones.

It ricochets
