Halloween is Every Day for Her
it’s Halloween she said, running around her room
Bring me my cauldron, my spell book, my broom!
We did not bother to chase her the interns told me
Since she’s gotten dementia, this is a regular spree
She thought it was Halloween at Easter time too
We brought out the bunnies and she kept yelling boo
She asks where her deceased husband is, thinking he is in the next room
“Give me the broom!” She yelled “Give me the broom!”
