euphemisms employed by mind ~
entrap our soul in ego’s bind

It’s a parasite’s world.
The worm of laziness
Clogging the mind,
Ego refusing change.
It’s a parasite’s world,
Seeping through one’s blood and breath.
Adoption, adaptation to change, an uphill task.
Ignorance, dark, deep, masquerading ugliness.
It’s a parasite’s world---
Where dependence is practice.
And excuses-- strategy, to design.
Deadlines met feverishly by others.
It’s a parasite’s world,
Where type of work affect quality.
Where comparison and perks galore
Stifling freedom, to create with responsibility.
It’s a parasite’s world,
Where, those who do and are willing
Get busted with jargon of abuse.
Euphemisms learnt and articulated.
It’s a parasite’s world
Where fear is fed with horror.
Where incompatibility and incompetency
Rule one’s hidden strength and power.
It's a parasite's world
where love lavishes in luxury
and 'Basic Instinct' given prowess
Suck out life from the 'highest of all species'.

"If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe," ... Carl Sagan
Subtle crafts soundly, using euphemisms,
yet cluelessness dealt a sheltered abyss.
When one confront internal mechanisms,
whatchamacallit ... orphaned hit-or-miss.
A conundrum conspires an endowed soul,
behooves postmortem liken achievement.
Where'er wits helix baptism, buried hole,
an urchin crawlspace, be I foundling sent.
Newborn bid birthright a pardoned envoy,
of mature absence deemed as uncharted.
Internals blueprint designed, bad employ,
indeed, tunnels end--will be lights outed.
Rare conscientiousness temper unknown,
infiltrate hallmark translates as dethrone.

I. Noise in an empty hallway:
My old leather shoes protest as I hurry down the linoleum tiles
Like I'm wearing a little piece of history older than I am.
II. Headlights on a dark road:
Speeding down narrow country roads
windows rolled down and Autumn wind rushing through the car
Ripping my hair from its tie
My arm stretching out the window, numb in the night air.
III. Ephemeral beauty:
For a moment, life is endless and incredibly brief
Stretching before me like a dusty trail at sunset
Disappearing into the trees.
IV. Origin of life:
There is this vague, unnamable incomprehension in my chest
Like euphemisms, that is the easy way out
This is the hard way: I am alive, alive, alive
When one cell became thirty trillion, I gained consciousness.
V. I am not the sum of my parts:
I don't have the faith to believe
That all my thirty trillion cells are a fluke of nature
VI. Evidence:
I am the proof of divinity's existence
A signpost shouting "I am alive" thirty trillion times with all the power of my lungs
Designed for miracles
VII. Rene Descartes:
It is not
I think; therefore, I am
It is
I think; therefore, He is.

He passes through the room like a bubble in champagne, unattached, teflon coated, and somehow freer than the rest of us. “Jordies here,” Leong says in an excited whisper.
“Yeah,” I sigh, adjusting my mask, “saw him.” She smiles like a cat behind hers. Leong knows I’m crushing on Jordie and she finds it delicious information which she waves at me like a flag whenever he’s around.
We’re processing in, distancing and passing table to table. Leong can be with me because, as roommates, we’ll be quarantining together. Lisa joins us, she’s back from the restroom. “Jordies here,” she says, bouncing up on her toes to better scan the room.
I don’t look at him but he fills my horizon like a thunderhead. He’s all I can see, even when I’m not looking at him. We reach the end of a row of tables and bam, there he is, six feet away. He says hi, I say hi - I’m very professional as we exchange looping, harmless, euphemisms for settling in for spring semester - then he’s called to the next station.
“If only we weren’t so busy,” I say, holding this fiction in front of me like a shield. “Yeah,” Leong and Lisa say, practically together, and smiling like thieves.

~~Euphemisms can not relinquish a loved one in death or a sudden breakup. It doesn’t matter how little or few words are used.
~~Perhaps lengthy passages are said when someone is dead; but they are dead.
~~It’s not a fun subject to share with a crowd; but it is something that is stated out loud.
~~Thank you for listening I haven’t a clue.
~~I’ll just mope around feeling quite blue.

Typical chest-beating testosterone
Braggadocios tales
of digital conquest
Wannabe pick-up artist
paint the Don Juan canvas con
lip sly palate best
Locker room omission
of depleted ego transmission:
repeated clicked dial tone
Boastful teen wolf puffs
ain’t saying piggly much
Nothing burgers be flipping the script,
phantom date ...
Monkeyshines gon tell you all about it
Mean Jane Doe skirt euphemisms
smock cover an empty, flaccid affair
Donkey Kong down under,
braying in limp pole position,
got an index finger waving in the air
Perpendicular rumors
pointing upward
with misogynist, grapevine swinging flair
But it’s all just vain ape talk,
didn’t nothing Tarzan happen ...
just hormonal loneliness
taking a fictional jungle walk
Much ado male whispers,
Romeo nothing
getting the pride jitters
Nobody must Juliet know
that not much of anything happened tho’
When the girl interrupted pillow party call came —
that lucky number ...
whose virgin reputation was put to gossip shame,
she didn’t even recall his tarnished name

If I proclaim to love the Lord
but hate my fellowman,
the Bible says I'm lying. Love,
not hate, is in His plan.
Bad attitudes towards others
if they're fueled day and night,
soon morph into destructive hate,
a vitriolic blight.
Though love can be so powerful,
hate can be just as strong.
We don't like to admit sometimes
our feelings are so wrong.
We choose to sugarcoat the truth
when hate is in our hearts.
We cling to euphemisms
while we throw our poison darts.
Sometimes we're hypocritical,
refusing to confess
to sins like hate; yet we still think
the Lord will surely bless!
Those motivated by ill will
will never know true peace.
They'll moan throughout a friendless life
and find no sweet release.

She didn't die; she passed away.
He isn't fat, just large.
She isn't mean and nasty;
She just likes to be in charge.
The play we saw was int'resting.
The meal we had - okay.
So much is hidden in each message
That we do convey.
And that is why I understand
So well when I am told
That I am looking tired;
What it translates to is OLD!

What’s the kindest thing you can say,
about someone who’s not really nice
Compliment them in an obtuse fashion,
blunt talk wouldn’t be the right approach
Sometimes it’s hard to find
pleasant words
to describe somebody’s foul disposition
Oh, they just got up on the wrong side of the bed
Euphemistically speaking
that phrase was rather well said
Trying not to insult a person’s intellect,
can leave you groping for tasteful words
Sensitivity speaks with a thousand nuances,
each shade made for honesty to be received
He’s a couple cards short of a full deck
Euphemistically speaking,
your verbiage was rather circumspect
Turning vinegar piss into honey-flavored cider,
it takes master linguistic skill ...
even still, it may not always be effective
Some people won’t take criticism,
though given in the most respectful way
Euphemisms are politely stated aphorisms
The customer is always right
Euphemistically speaking,
it was expressed with rather delicate insight
Even when someone is wrong as two left shoes,
wrong as laughing lustily at bad news
Euphemistically speaking,
that’s what a mentally challenged person is prone to do

I find poetry in the most absurd of ideals and euphemisms, but there are ideas that elude me
The fact of the existence of narcissistic assholes who believe themselves immune in statement
The fact of the existence of evil that goes unpunished when the stick is easily available
The fact of the existence of the most corrupt beings acclaimed as the saintliest ones
The fact of the existence of those who believe in science, but denounce observation
The fact of the existence of hypocrites that can never look in a mirror, lest they be burned
The fact of the existence of those who try to come together to get away from each other
The fact of the existence of disrespect among the privileged to a more privileged
The fact of the existence of stalwart defenders that are in truth attackers and offensive
The fact of the existence of those who will defend these people to seem superiors
but the most eluding fact is a statement made among one who lives among these existences
“Just Live with It”
But I will not

A vertical line of point on a beach is a starving starfish. Enterprises of ravishing seagulls. Swoop swap. Thresholds of alignment. Delivery of stone reason. No rhyme. Under a large bridge a worm sits playing a banjo. Jolting it's head. And an abacus fancies a date with a calculator to discuss economic apparitions. Never turret a noted head on a silver backed gorilla packet as carpets can be raised to form sky tunnels. So be stoic in one's behaviour in a jar. Choosing chasing chased chasers casted caste credit creeds. And a knife speaks to a chopping board. Pretty not a wildebeest in a negligée as it prefers leather. Hahahaha and a dormancy. Hahahaha eradicated euphemisms hahahaha days of normal summery red wraparound dress xxxx pickled. 'paleobiological' z v z - ?
