A fire engine red square in a blue circle,
that’s the very definition of monachopsis.
I am blanketed languishing in all of this,
it’s tiresome living life like it’s on critical.
Fluctuating between stability and gone,
so many memories attached to four walls.
Walking that fine line I slip and it all stalls,
thrown down persuaded I’m the only one.
Battering hard every bit of my equilibrium
is a vision of how everything was before.
Each person that has danced on this floor
hit a beat now attached to my desiderium.
The last moments of this legendary venue
tears spring to my eyes as I see the lights.
This stage where I spent so many nights
will never give another band their debut.
Slumped in the dumps
going over the bumps
don't let it get your goat
or get to you
but stay afloat
and take your lumps
remember to maintain
easy to say hard to do
your balance composure
perspective and point of view
as tomorrow no one knows
so go along for the ride
whatever fate throws
take it in stride
with its ups and downs
and smile all the while
there's no gain in frowns
as life's nought but a game
and from the day we begin
men and women are merely players
not a one of whom will ever win
I hold back the action
Admirable though it would be
Frozen mammoth restrained
Introspectively
Or a beetle in amber
Polite and decorative
Without a reaction, Thermo-
dynamically
Fear is involved
Other causes urge forward
Contributing thrust
Abandonedly
Thus it is peace becomes us
In this country of marvels;
Motivations in balance
Inescapably
In poverty's grip, we struggle to stand
Delays in church programmes, with empty hand
No money, no food, yet we accuse the night
Ignorance abounds, in futile fight
"Kill it! Die by fire!" we cry in vain
While future's labour, we refrain
Little wonder poverty's dark veil remains
As Africans pray, while Chinese innovate and sustain
China rises, in tech's mighty stride
Creating jobs, and a future to abide
But we, in ignorance, our potential waste
Forgetting scripture's wise and timeless taste
"Faith without work is dead," it's written true
Yet churchgoing sleep, won't see us through
Breakthroughs need hard work, consistent and real
Not just fervent cries, or emotional zeal
Balance we seek, between work and prayer
Engaging hands, not just fervent air
For faith alone, without labour's might
Leaves dreams to wither, in endless night
Let's strike the balance, and take the lead
Work and faith, in harmony we'll proceed
No more delays, no more empty cries
A brighter future, with hard work's wise eyes.

I want to live and die at the same time,
In this asylum, I am nothing but a dime.
I pray for the grotesque fame,
None, but the Master wants to get me out of playing this game.
In this asylum, I live a lie,
The river Life is nothing but a gridlocked tie.
I want to be alive until I don't want to survive,
This phase is not my only witless dive.
Is this asylum true, or just a gruesome illusion?
I want to bring back my vision.
I don't want to live in this ponderous loneliness,
I don't want to die until I wilfully confess.
This asylum is full of savage desires,
I want to submerge myself in my obligations.
The river doesn't want to join the ocean of dark necessities,
The meander is coming closer to my pertinacity.
True wisdom lies in my shadow,
Until it stays in my favour.
For centuries, I have penned the tales of this asylum,
I am nothing but a mere equilibrium.
when pride peeped in me
I started planting a tree ---
both are okay now
There was a time when a period piece was historical drama.

Equilibrium
Sometimes . . . when dark clouds fill the skies,
the world seems out of balance and cries.
But then . . . as two hearts touch in the darkness,
suddenly . . . the equilibrium of life is restored,
clouds disappear, and the sun begins to shine once more.

It rained and poured heavily as never before
Washing away hills,downs and the plain;
Sure it was a commited lofty drain
To revive the struggling, straggling live galore;
Lightings thunder like pretentious promoters
Heckled over the ravage and disorder
Off and beyond all stay and border;
Nothing but just Water : muddy ripples and floaters
Strange it is the serene freshness and poise
Follows all such mockery excess and ablution
The essence of being is contained within evolution
While all human play and way fills noise
And only sound and fury to conclude
In hallow vain , absurd and futile a feud.
I
Human, all nature's events, are without mistakes - but for ego.
II
Burls in trees, bugs among crops, seek balance. Except us humans.
Standing up, on top
straddling the seesaw
one foot on each side, now.
Whichever way I lean
sends the upside down
and the downside up.
Slippery slide
to the flip-side
is unworkable.
It's lunge, parry
riposte.
Hushed mystic quests esoteric intellect
As quietude permeates domain of truth
Ruminating about things done and said
Reflecting upon the avenues of regrets
Reminiscing on boulevards of conquests
Tallying up all the triumphs and defeats
Wailing in futility of feats and fantasies.
What has been, cedes to what could be
Beyond pensive boundaries of mortality
Illuminating today in meditative reverie
Transcending the mundane, the ordinary,
The futile worries confused in ambiguities.
Ambitious past now seeks new meaning
As dissonant arguments lose appeals
And wisdom draws from ethereal spirits
And enlightenment ascends satori feelings
Where grief is no longer as dominating
And happiness no longer as demanding--
For material things forfeit their entreaties.
Life in equilibrium of peace and serenity
Aspires to poise of supreme understanding
Buoying on clout of calmness and clarity,
No longer stirring what could have been
Seeing everyday as the essence of being
In eternal halo of a cognitive awakening.
