Flower

flowers that have flourished in winter
made beautiful in the frost,
from the same chilling breeze they have grown lost.
one flower stands out in its sunny meadow,
the other still frozen in a field,
envying the other flowers that get to grow along in that meadow,
waiting to be revealed.
every once in a while the pollen of the flower in the meadow blows the way of the frozen flower,
teasing the scent of a life that will never befall.
frozen in a field were the pain echos like an empty hall,
all thats left to do is wait for the seasons to dry,
but if you pick your favourite flower soon enough it will die.

Foul Bats

Nosy minds in fall of night
Like foul bats envying the light
They're like fool dogs barking till dawn
Finding some dirt in other's lawn

They're all like puppets in a play
They are like some toys made of clay
Stupid idiots who know nothing
Pulling others is their only thing

I still wonder if what's the price
Does risk they take worth the slice
Sleepless nights, they come and go
Up the mountains and down below

Workers Wage

He remembers it before it arrives,
To collect a far one hundred miles drives,
To keep stalling payment his life deprives,
Better he ended up in beehives…

The end of every month full of meaning,
It’s a female worker’s time for preening:
In a sense, a life of subordination;
No envying other’s ordination,
Especially after allowances;
Just watch out for Michael Jackson’s dances!

In bed strong muscles completely inert,
Until their owner receives credit alert;
Boss wins the heart of a worker through wage:
The ones who split it their workers’ strength cage…

A promise of the life of “hand to mouth”
It has been the same story North and South.
You don’t wait, when an old mouth had gone out;
You’re asking for The Tormented’s sure shout

The Truth: worker’s wage plus his boss chance tips:
That way boss sure praises on his lips…

Claustrophobia

The walls are closing in.
No matter what I say, I never win.
My life’s crumbling in my hands
Like it’s a stray rock, and I can’t see where it lands.

Everything’s falling apart before my eyes,
And only pain will arise
From the deep gash in my heart
That’s been there from the start.

I’ve lost control of everything,
And I’ve found myself envying
The freedom of my past
Away from the shadow that’s been cast.

Nobody can see
That the odds are stacked against me
If I try to stand, I’ll just fall
And it’s overwhelming, the weight of it all.

So I jot my feelings down in ink.
Otherwise I might be on the brink
Of giving up and giving in.
It’s not like I will ever win.

Winter

Black cloud enshroud blue horizon while migrating birds tweet their last goodbye

Arctic winds weigh down bare naked branches watching blinding storms streak by

Above forsaken lodge tower sequoias like sentinels safeguarding an empty citadel

Hungry bison scrapes damp earth for green grass then uncovers a nourishing well

Immaculate summits shed kaleidoscopic colors pondering the splendor of next fall

Snowflake encrusted serpentine rivers inside the path of an imminent frigid squall

Taking agile steps shivering wolves defend lives at stake to outfox predacious gun

Aging leaves tumble toward battered ground envying the sky waiting for the sun

Live Your Life With a Purpose and Don'T With In the Wrong Crowd- Christen Kuikoua

So precious yet so short
Life is indeed to us
Walking around in circles,
wasting around our time
Later, realizing that
Our selfish runs weren't important

Praising the wrong things
Wishing a fairytale life
Well guess what, our world ain't dreamtopia
Want success without efforts
And expect life to role like our selfish wishes
But the truth is life doesn't ever work like that

Why trying to live someone else's life
Trying to fit in the crowd
to be accepted for being someone you aren't
Pretending to be happy to please the people around you
that happens to not even care
I got a question?
If you live my life, then who will live yours
Stop scrolling through Socials
Seeing artificial happiness
Blended with filters
While you are trying to be like them,
They praying each day to be like you

Stop envying because it not
impossible to be a success
For the people you praise for their work
worked extra hours and sweats really hard
to obtain that success
Stop wishing for fairytales and grow up
Because just kids dream of flying like birds
Remember, there is no success without efforts
And never will you stop until your better becomes your best

Premium MemberBeautiful

Five o clock shadow
Around a toothpaste smile
Kinky black hair coils so wild
Cocoa black back scratched scarred
Knobby knees dented from kneeling
Rough rugged hands with dark knuckles
Full moon hips make me see double
Strange green moods dripping from me
Envying your your spirit raw free
No razor no bra no lazer no part
Of you is tame not even your name
Beautiful Black Soul.

Remembering

If you should leave before I do
(and I pray that won't be the case),
precious things I'll recall about you.

The words you spoke
were sweet, gentle and kind.
I hold them with love on my mind.

Your voice was warm and silky soft,
it soothed every pain I knew
and healed me through and through.

Your eyes were a prize of brillant blue.
I melted when they focused on me
and marveled how they came to be.

Your hair was fragrant, rich, and fine.
How often I buried my face therein
and kissed your lips, cheek, and chin.

I remember oh so much more,
how heads turned at the sight of you
and how I relished that envying view.

But above all else, my precious love
I will forever recall and cherish
your goodness born above
and practiced throughout our marriage.

Premium MemberSun and Moon Wistfully Watch

Sun wistfully watched moon
Envying his calm departure
As he oozed beyond the horizon without a glance
Waiting an extra second, Sun admired his backside,
Before she slid into place on the horizon
To begin her uphill rise to bring morning to the valley.

Moon had a touch of regret
Wondering if Sun suspected the love letters in his heart
Written by the stars for years, wondering if she suspected
That he carried a romantic torch for her
With mixed emotions he began his rise
In the east, bringing night to the other side of the earth.

More Than Good Enough

Its 2019 gotta put on my most expensive clothes
Have to make sure Im looking my best
Wait hold up! Back up...
I dont wear makeup because im not pretty
Its because i sit infront of the mirror criticizing my face
Why are all the girls prettier than me
I find myself staring at all the other girls envying them
To wake up pretty and have the most expensive clothes
To have the most attractive and loyal boyfriend ever
To have people basically worshipping at your feet
I feel like I DONT FIT IN
I dont fit it with my friend group
That i'm the weird awkward one
I never fit in with my friends
Society is screaming at me that Im not good enough
Im not good enough for me or the people in this world
I criticize my body saying I'm not skinny enough
I stand in the mirror and sometimes I cry
But i didnt come here to write a poem on the negative I came here to open your eyes to show you that you are not the only one who feels this way
I JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE MORE THAN GOOD ENOUGH

As One Cries Lord Help Me

AS ONE CRIES OUT
CRYING LOUD SILENTLY
LORD HELP ME
SO CONFUSED, MISUSED
LORD HELP ME
ALL SHALL SEE
I AM SO TIRED
OF ALL OF THE LIES
PEOPLE ARE ENVYING ME
FULL WITH UNKNOWN SURPRISE
ONLY IN THEIR DARKEST DISGUISE
LORD HELP ME
I FALL ON BENDED KNEES
GUIDANCE AND DIRECTIONS
I NEED THAT PROTECTION
PRAYING DAILY
CALLING OUT IN JESUS NAME
JESUS, I WANT BE THE SAME
I GIVE JESUS MY ALL
I APPLAUDED
LIFE'S A ROLLER COASTER RIDE
CIRCLES ARE GETTING BLURRY
THE SCENERY SEEMS TOXIC
A SLIPPERY SLOPE TIDE
AS THEY GAVE JESUS THEIR LIFE
A NEW JOURNEY HAS BEGUN
FROM THE DARKNESS TO THE SUN
THE LIGHT HAS SHINED UPON THEM
A MOVIE, A DESTINY, A FILM.

RELAXED, CONTENT, NOT IN PAIN
BAPTIZED IN JESUS NAME.

Where Did the Time Go

A light made whole
the sunshine as it is bright
moonlight gathers afar
time spent
remembering the winds
the gatherings of the roses
all untold stories
until a future that appears
whispering, silent
time has gone.

Owning the responsibilities
life as passes through
relationship expired
people are envying you
tiresome.

Time, a not finished line
not completed
as birds are flying
people are gathering
Children are growing
secrets are not knowing
life of expectancies
trials and tests are submitted
Lord give me grace
in attendance
life passes by
the blue sky
the moon is a distance
overshadows of the sunlight.

Time has gone by.

Violence

Voracious beasts I freely call them,
Indigenous or rather covenant leaders,
Observing our steps just to stab us behind,
Leaving us to suffer in peace,
Envying the poor man's meal,
Nuisances we turn before their eyes,
Certainly we made ourselves such
Educated fools!

Freeloaders

Those who feel entitled to what others have
While envying and resenting them for having it;

Isn’t this a second cousin to an oxymoron?
