Never say never
It could happen
It could not
Committed to
Non-commitment
Vocalizations stuck on
Silence
It's enticing?
It's inciting
Riots
Put your President
Behind bars
Unlocked my cage
Set me free
Free to roam
In the predator's enclosure
Your enticements are incitements

Magic Glasses
In the lost and found
One glitzy pair of glasses
Dusty - forgotten
Cast off and outcast?
Living in land of the lost
Corrections for sight
Mystic mystery
Calls to the curious heart
Like foghorns in mists
Wispy temptation
Weaves tendrils of enticements
Try me on just once?
Old world falls away
Neon bursts of astral fire
Lightning births dreams gold
Electric moonbeams
Possibility explodes
Breathing ideas
New cosmos emerge
Kaleidoscopic glory
Unclaimed magic found
Lost again - glitzy glasses

Whose Words?
By Mark Stucky
Hissing whispers in the garden
twisted the warning words of God.
A shadowy tempter in the wilderness
shouted enticements to the Word made flesh.
Twisted words whisper and shout today,
from screens, podiums, and even pulpits,
spouting conspiracies and misinformation,
pushing discord, division, and condemnation,
promising power, fame, and friendship,
flaunting false pleasures and successes,
but leaving hearers hurt and angry,
or lonely, anxious, and depressed.
Listening instead to words of Jesus
centers us on truth, love, peace, joy,
and working together
for the good of us all.
So many voices clamoring for our attention,
a noisy din of distortions and contradictions,
a continuous cacophony of words.
Some resulting in harm, some in healing.
Whose words will we heed?
Whose path will we choose?

The tang of the vital body
scents an inner sky
the fleshy funk
as it surfaces to be perceived.
Aromas; the perfumed stench
of the incarnate
so like a flowering orchid
its thick leafed presence
overwhelming, its delicate enticements
an allure chained to an image
that blooms into sex.
The pervading smell of memory
the attar of the rose,
the delicate fragrance of enticement
all a waft toward corruption
where death plants its roots
deep into the blossom.

I’m captivated by a verse from Paul:
take captive every thought that enters in
so that you might obey.
A cry is raised above the din;
hard pressed, I am assaulted, under siege.
To me! To me! I hear my lord and liege
and cast my eyes on him,
for when he’s standing tall, this world’s enticements pall.

Charities in search of cash
Send envelopes with pleas
And sometimes little gifts in hopes
My giving gene they’ll squeeze.
Most often it’s a sheet or two
Of labels with my name
And street address, but in addition,
Bookmarks sometimes came.
I use the labels less and less
As bills are paid online
And bookmarks to the pile
Of things passé I must consign.
Enticements might encourage
A donation, that is true,
But what once worked no longer is
Appealing to accrue.

She who was born under the sign of equality,
During the reign of the goat.
Your love sprung and rooted deeply,
But too coward and a lad full of loth.
The water bearer was born in the monkey king’s year,
Whom to be the first you offered I love you.
She had the weight of your mess and fear,
Squandered and punished herself to set free of you.
You ended up with the fair woman.
But you couldn’t handle yourself well,
From other enticements of romances.
Being apart was a challenge to both parties.
Such actions surprised the scale keeper.
You have taken the one who has the symbol of ram,
Only woken during the rooster’s crowing,
And the balancer’s heart is so broken.

Dare dulcet murmurs barely audible caress my ear
Let me hear sweet gentle words escape your lips
As the moon above hovers and watches over us
Speak softly to me in your whisper voice
Reveal enchanting secrets I so long to hear
Tempt me with delectable enticements I so crave
Drift in on the summer breeze resonating to my soul
Speak gently words of euphony upon my ear
Let me glimpse at the true colors of your heart
Bared to me uncontrived and guileless
Let me taste all tantalizing shades upon your tongue
Speak tender thoughts of love to make me blush
Let me drink from your fountain
Delectable and quench my thirst
Speak those most endearing thoughts
That have me dream of your embrace
Beneath the stars that glow tonight

Faintness may give the impression of fading separation.
An art lesson for a seeker. The seeker will then
point to what remains, when fading ends, as the recognition
sought..formlessness pointing to nothing. Or the seeker
might see the faintness as increasing separation. Nothing
appearing more and more distinct and definitional. Both
processes are, however, quite enticing, but futile. Liberation
is the end of process with this spontaneous appearance,
which resists any and all definition..but may include
the processes and enticements suggested by artful faintness.

By the Lord’s power, buttressed by His authority
We can subdue our own carnality
Toward righteous walk exemplifying genuine spirituality
While consecrated through His holiness’ beauty
Overcoming enticements of lustful vanity
Relying in His Word’s infallibility
Highlighting divine integrity
Having been redeemed by His grace of compassion-bounty.
Through the Lord’s omnipotent tenacity
We can vanquish selfishness’ futility
Toward joyous service of sweet tranquility
While yielded to His guidance along wisdom-certainty
Learning from Christ’s meekness and humility
Praying with fervency, casting to Him every anxiety
Being upheld against deceit and falsity
Having been strengthened* by His truth’s immutability.
*Psalm 18:32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.

Is it difficult to comprehend
That I may yearn
Just a little transgression
This is era of serendipity
And doing things that’s arousing
Just for me
I remain unapologetic
To the aphorisms of fools
Because I’m not subjected
To live by anyone’s iron fist rule
I only want to use my sexual mechanisms
To experience all the enticements
Of the human flesh
Subsequently I’ll have no regrets
Of erotic speculation and actions
Cause I will always be fond of
A really good lashing
In the seclusion of my bedroom
Damn.....I will need some soon
Embracing the spirit of my age
Seems to give a particular sage
Of liking what I like
And the judgement of others....
I could care less if its right because
The Queen will never live her life in strife

Arabesque
Dressing up the evenings’ shoulders
shawls of white silk bloom
enticements,
evenings on silk shoulders
making up stories behind the shadows,
through pomegranates of word the step is the story’s shadow,
the magi has stars to bewitch the deeps
into word.
Time, a wizard bewitched by stars,
spawns white shoulders of stars,
lured
by trails, the steps bloom on shawls,
the white agate evening
grazes grains of sand.

GRACE.
Grace is in what God does for you.
Giving this day’s moment in time.
Walking into the light of grace.
Knowing he is within you.
Is greater than our being.
For our belonging is in him.
His heavenly gates of love
Exceeding worldly enticements.
His deeds of love and kindness.
Bring fulfillment entwined
Beyond all imagination,
Is his peace and understanding
His omnipotence power surpasses
All In his abundant Love.
Grace, the Fathers Love

Control
Slaves of Sin, we are the minions
That is, if we choose to be
Though Sin houses in our system
We need not follow her decree
With her allure and her enticements
She may tempt you to do wrong
Even fool you into thinking
It’s only then you do belong
Sin knows well how to seduce you
Just to have you try and taste
For she doesn’t like what’s modest
And she loathes that what is chaste
Mind your ears, for those she’ll tickle
With the things you should not hear
And your eyes, soon will be gaping
At everything that you should fear
She will even have you smelling
Scents and fragrances so sweet
Even though these are all stenches
’Cause she’s so full of deceit
And she knows, oh she is certain
Once you are under her spell
You’ll be craving sinful pleasures
She’s within us, she can tell
So it’s up to you, dear mortal
For the well-being of your soul
Choose not to become a minion
Let your conscience take control.

The waterfall flows
reflected in the rays of the sun
as if they were diamonds in brilliant glow
with clarity only temporary in the water's run.
The humid air clusters along the layered stones
misting the algae growth green and thick
a mini forest clustering the edge where it has grown
allowing the water to flow fast and slick.
A streaming rhythm in its secluded dance
echoing the close of seasons
that easily comes and goes in metamorphic trance
and the change returns holiday dreamings.
A momentary pause, the hike, the campers walk
reveals beauty and imagery beyond compare
with whispered awes and friendly talk
gives rise to outdoors enticements if we dare.
