By the Power of the Lord

By the Lord’s power, buttressed by His authority We can subdue our own carnality Toward righteous walk exemplifying genuine spirituality While consecrated through His holiness’ beauty Overcoming enticements of lustful vanity Relying in His Word’s infallibility Highlighting divine integrity Having been redeemed by His grace of compassion-bounty. Through the Lord’s omnipotent tenacity We can vanquish selfishness’ futility Toward joyous service of sweet tranquility While yielded to His guidance along wisdom-certainty Learning from Christ’s meekness and humility Praying with fervency, casting to Him every anxiety Being upheld against deceit and falsity Having been strengthened* by His truth’s immutability.
