Comes autumn with grasslands and
trees ornate
As mauve pallet begins to recreate
The exuberance of a new season's
girth;
While air tangy floats on lamplight, its
mirth
Enkindling comfort as time breathes a
while
To relish life's harvest ... senses
beguile;
When lovers, elders under moon
embrace
Slow-dance of fall ... twigs dropping
their lace:
For only autumn's flair can grant relief--
Through hope , upon cycle's tint, leaf to
leaf!

--------------
Where meadows flush with hints of rose
Soft lavender and amber wild
That blossoms drop their silhouettes ,
Against a moonbeam's afterglow .
This regal glint carries me high
From meadow lush to summer's grace
When nothing but Luna divine
Mirrors through treetop's lambent view.
And the floral pageant ensues
Hints exploding on prairies' trail
While moonglow streams...eve's alchemy;
My heart enticed, its rapture flown!
How glory of May's lune bequiles
Enkindling inner dance and sway;
Within these soulful reveries
My prayers greet such night,bewitched.

Cast of shadows, courtesy of candle,
Light fading unfolds the same tale at dusk.
Soliloquized retellings of scandal,
Lengthy but worthy, as faults to unhusk.
Memories gone cold, my table setting,
Echoing attenuated laughter.
Plates piled high with the feasts of forgetting,
Still doleful hungers linger thereafter.
The flickering cloister of flames confer,
Enkindling solace in the solitude.
Tacit acceptance, no protest to stir,
Away from the noise, alone without brood.
Resigned, I dine on the remnants of day,
Umbral asylum, narrative decay.

June Love
Loveliest time of year for love is June
Enkindling a spark in the heart once froze
Who wouldn’t melt at last for paths in rose strewn?
Loveliest time of year for love is June.
Dancing beneath lustrous silvery moon
Dressed to thrill in fragrant rose petal clothes
Loveliest time of year for love is June
Enkindling a spark in the heart once froze.
Who wouldn’t melt at last for paths in rose strewn?
Loveliest time of year for love is June
Dancing beneath lustrous silvery moon
Dressed to thrill in fragrant rose petal clothes.
Enkindling a spark in the heart once froze
A heart zooming heavenward as love grows.

In deep of forest he roams with might
A silken coat flaring through eve’s air;
When moon casts boldness on a steed’s rite
To journey free… far as runes declare,
My horse totem enkindling power
Directing flights in my younger days --
Where carousels merry blessed the hour
This kinship granting me strength, ablaze:
Flows his mane of auburn, a crown’s hue
Resting kindly on marshes of land;
A character known just to a few
Is grace of friendship time could withstand :
My spirit guide runs wild, yet he’s tame
For vision of light two of us hold
Through tenderness or speed, we inflame
One hearth beaming on raced dreams…consoled!

In this now troubled world, man’s hope falls,
as dire need for peace remains unsettled
even besieged: and awakening voices roar,
to soothe nights of delirium, of alarm…
While I , a mere mortal among all races
flame my hands, writing about indigent children,
terrorism, heinous crimes which scar beings---
beyond these, my heart weeps when egregious
plunder of nature inflicts the environ!
Though nations mediate, the obtuse reasoning
of leaders consecrate their holy gifts as ego
those masks guileful as puppetry to obscure avarice…
For the deepening of collective oneness resides
in a delicate yet brave spirit, perhaps unseen--
faith’s light enkindling this hunger for unity
maybe, laying global discord to rest.

The wonder of the dawning sun
Is majestic to behold
Ribbons surrounding trees and cliffs
In tones of flame and gold
Here, dazzling beams illuminate
A passage through the sea
Coloring the radiant crest
In warm serenity
A gentle time to plead for hope
As quickly fades its light
Where etched silhouettes blend and merge
Enkindling rise of night.

Pinpoints of wild rosette deepen the view
Into a field where blossoms flaunt their shade;
When August basks to grace our passion anew
Imbuing laced ecstasy … a rich brocade.
In fragrant whiffs renewing thrill of hours
Mild the sunset , bolder the lustrous tints
While we caress kiss glide on sky’s towers--
To lend our ardent love its flamed imprints.
Gently, dusk comes in earthen-colored flight
Till you stutter warm lines … begging for my hand:
O fireflies gleam in riots of delight,
A vow enkindling such pious demand.
From the raging wake of a new moon’s shine
I quiver to praise blest summer, divine!

Lord, bless us with rain for our fields and crops
Tiny pin drops of water in the dark
Gentle tippy toe taps as opposed to clops
Soaking while receiving no blighted mark
Enkindling life, new growth, greenery moire
Strengthening rootstalk and birthing seedpods
Subtle beauty peeking from the boudoir
Slight breath of wind as stem and leaf applauds
Distant rumbles casting dreams of fortune
Filtered flashes foreshadowing morning
Every being given its due portion
Sunlight greets a good night's sleep adorning
Twilight brightens Your night's gifted labor
We work, we dance to Creation's tabor

We fondly strolled through languid ways
And rambled on without goodbyes;
On cool and moonlit autumn days
That held a glimpse of paradise .
Bewitched by evening's lucent beams
He told me I was ever fair--
That mirrors all our lifetime dreams
While tucking ribbons in my hair.
Time lit love's candle in my heart,
Although I vaguely heard his sighs
Enkindling flames that we won't part;
Retracing oceans in my eyes :
Yet journeys he had known, afar
Unsure of betrothed vows, our plan:
This oath circling on his lone star
But wait I must, dear pilot man.

There seemed no redemption
from a crucial mistake
while escaping dear home…
I watched stars up high
enkindling raw freedom
to search the eagle's trail.
Yet this reckless dream
bore uncertainty;
as sundown paled low
contemplation roused;
hands pounding on our gate..
Mom …she held me
this rebel tamed,
as prayers lit
for favors sent.
With kindness,
I embrace
adulthood;
This flame
of life
Blessed!
