The Late Douglas Adams

He was very tall, he stood six feet five.
He died too young, he couldn't survive.
He wrote "The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy" and some episodes of "Doctor Who".
Dying at the young age of forty-nine was tragic and that's certainly true.
He died nearly a quarter of a century ago and he won't be coming back.
He was a British man and people were sad when he died of a heart attack.
When this talented man died, it was a devastating blow.
I wish he could've lived longer but it was his time to go.

[Dedicated to Douglas Adams (1952-2001) who died on May 11, 2001]

Douglas Murray

Douglas Murray

On various YouTube programs
I have taken an interest in his opinions
about Islam in Europe, and I share
his pessimistic opinions
He is a person of great interest
always well groomed
it appears he spends most of his
time in various hotel rooms, preferable
near a mirror, adjusting his tie
His vanity is amusing
Regarding his view of the Gaza debacle
I fear his dislike (hatred) of Islam
leads him astray by talking about
the October 7/10 atrocities, yet fail
to address the 42 thousand civilians
killed by Israeli bombs, which
he, no doubt, blames Hamas
As a debater, he is superb
 his intelligence
of highest quality
I also find his half-smile when delivering
a verbal retort, endearing
I look forward to reading his books

Elusive Man Is Slippery Fish

It was in Argentina
That Bull met Clementina:
The same year dumped Tina,
Who’d thought herself A Winner’
And was planning “A Dinner”
In Hotel De Cortina…

Clementina was in Fridge
And still Bull left for Cambridge:
Escape from Blown-Up Bridge?
The Much Elusive Partridge
Outwitting traps in farms ridge…

Bull was to meet a Rita
In far flung Costa Rica
Over her fought Strong Douglas
And just shattered him like glass!
Confirmed Green Snake, in Green Grass:
Rita had guessed not it’d pass!

Premium MemberShe Had the Cleft of Kirk Douglas

She had the cleft of Kirk Douglas.
It was decidedly brilliant on her.
It fit her mind and her attitude.
I watched it talk along with her mouth.

Where had she gotten such a cleft?
It is rare to see these days.
It was more fashionable in the forties.
I wondered about it for days.

I never saw her again.
But one time was more than enough.
When my own child was born with a cleft
I knew she was brilliant and special.

On the tall table
Resides a small Christmas tree
With a Santa hat
When his eyes open to show
The vacant stare of plastic

Premium MemberRest In Peace-Kirk Douglas and Robert Conrad

Kirk Douglas

Today we heard we lost Kirk
Who never needed a shirt
Always a lovely flirt that Kirk
 Joining Moses in heaven
Who we watched in the movie way past eleven
Hopefully God enjoyed their sound stage cheese
and now he is at peace
Yes, we lost Kirk
that lovely flirt

Robert Conrad

We say good night to Robert Conrad
Who looked good when being mad
He had the right stuff being tough
 On the smaller screen
Which was clean
Tough stories that made him look peachy keen
Standing strong
Righting wrong
Good night Robert Conrad
America's Dad

Zelo Inspirado Em Douglas Santucci, 05,05,2018, 14 Horas

Zelo

A repetição,
junto com a aptidão
desde tempos imemoriais
criam a arte e o pão.

A Repetição respeita você
já a aptidão,
respeita as pessoas próximas.

Para produzir resultados extraordinários
sob todos os tempos,
coloque a repetição
e a aptidão acontecendo juntas.

Fabulous fame and fortune would be your attainment
as you became a household name in entertainment.
We would see you on television five days a week.
Your pleasant voice and demeanor is what we would seek.
For years from Cleveland, LA, and Philadelphia,
the stars appearing on your show were a plethora.
You did the voice of Prince Charming in Cinderella.
You were great when you sang with Kay Kyser’s orchestra.
The hit songs you had included “Ole Buttermilk Sky”.
“The Men In My Little Girl’s Life” took your fame quite high.
Things you did with your show were a great accomplishment.
Everyone missed you when you went into retirement.
On this sad occasion, the angels took you away.
You left us on the earth on your eighty-first birthday.

Premium MemberBelow a Douglas Fir

Below a Douglas Fir tree one beautiful moonlit night
I sat there with my Missy as we viewed a lovely sight

The aurora borealis was lighting up the sky
Then something to my right suddenly caught my eye

A gem from outer space tore across the cobalt blue
Leaving behind a trail a quite spectacular view

Two in trapped capture witnessing a shooting star
We wonder where it came from, out there from afar

We sat there for ages chatting about the sight we seen
Phenomena such as this are generally seen in dreams

Below the Douglas Fir tree that beautiful moonlit night
We marvelled at it's arrival as it disappears from sight

Rochester Discourse - Federick Douglas

Wind, word, sail
The helm is turned
On the oar of the tongue
Against the tide of laws
The righteous cause
Will its litany and prevail
O could the dock
Materialize again
Out of the euphoria of the brain
O could not relay of metered sound
Measure out spoon by empty spoon
The empty wait
And the immediacy of the state
You were a tower
Better than Babel or rainless flower
You were answerer and caller
With exact mimetic
Of the horrific hour
That children go round and round
Sunless in the shadow
I never let the moon get into my blood
The universe is just a batch of mud.

Adam Douglas Steinmetz

It's a little too late,
To say what I wanted to say,
Because of your fate,
It was a sad and depressing day.

It was the day they told me,
The day you were gone,
I could not see,
I could not go on.

Cried for hours,
Held my friends close,
They took what was ours,
What we love the most.

But you are gone forever,
There's nothing we can do,
I will see you never,
But I will pursue.

All I want to say,
Is that I love you,
And everday I will pray,
Because love is something you cannot undo.

I will look up in the sky,
And be proud to love you,
I don't want to say good-bye,
But I know it's something I must do.
