Disruptions Poems | Examples

Boo Hoo

Today’s the U.S. Open Final
Taking place in Queens,
With Alcaraz and Sinner
Front and center on our screens.

We’ve been told the prez will be on hand
And, while the anthem plays,
All the cameras will be focused
On the bluster he displays.

Yet to show how things have changed,
A memo managed to get sent
To the broadcast booths of every station
Brooking no dissent –

No booing of the U.S. king
Should make it on the air.
If such disruptions do get shown,
Well, broadcasters, beware!

This censorship just reinforces
How low we have sunk.
Our former democratic values
Certainly have shrunk.

We never knew that death was so close.
And when our grand daughter was dying,
Before her passing we began to pray.
Something erupted deep inside of me.
I yelled loudly; I pleaded to God;
I said, " Lord, please don't let her die!
Can you do this for me?"
I cried like a newborn baby.
God heard me but he said, "No".

When my oldest sister died
I felt my breath being taken away
And it seemed reality disappeared

When my daughter's husband abused her
A force of anger exploded in my soul,
Igniting desires to do him bodily harm.
Only God held me back from attacking him.

When I lost a job in San Francisco
I was at a loss and did not know what to do,
Where to go, or who to call as eruptions of
Fear boiled up inside of me. But for the grace
Of God and his guiding light, a continual flow
Of emotional lava would have overwhelmed me.

When my grandmother passed away
My dream of introducing her to my
First born also died.

Many are the eruptions of life,
Causing disruptions in our lives.
But we must remember that God's
Grace is abundant, preventing
total destruction to our lives.

Premium Member drop-dead delirium

if tears of the sun were the metaphorical keys
to unlock twisted trinkets of the searing sky
would you feel the festering forest~
homing arctic orchids within these veins?
or am I to remain detached and numb;
caged in a cursed collision
like an evanescent epiphany
   of a misled marionette ~
   screaming for a cathartic elixir….

tonight my intuition is a passive-aggressive gaslighter
manipulating the inner voice ~ like a pathological liar
freezing the floral clairvoyance…
while curiosity keeps crawling
           amidst crestfallen opium

I ponder: do frost and flame, as I breathe in bleakness~
transcribe how the echo
   within the fog filters reality
curated in the midst of melted angst
fluctuating like stone-blind blackness~
a drop-dead delirium kissed by the darkness
    of a silent sepulcher?

I’m a prisoner of splitting supernovae
caught in polarized pyretic disruptions
for everything feels like exaggerated deceit
when truth seems like a mere dot above~
       a hyphen of irrational ratios
 carved from calculated confusions,
         betrayed by the violent strings
            of my violin heart…

Premium Member Since It's Their Crises, Please Don't Cry Sis

Each of the man-made public disruptions,
Experts say is an unforeseen crisis;
But since they profit from planned destructions,
I am begging you, please don’t go cry sis.

They pre-plan cruel war in people’s back yards,
Wrecking mayhem with killer devices.
Though news says it appeared out of the blue,
It’s their plan all along, so don’t cry sis.

And since war always spurs on inflation,
That is where central bank’s paradise is.
Their fiat money increases with death;
So who’s the killers? For them don’t cry sis.

If the U. S. dollar’s on its last leg,
Then falling empire’s use many vises.
Like foresaid war, division, chaos, hate,
If we learn their ways, there’s less need to cry sis.

And since lately there’s high interest rates,
Countries can’t afford paying debt prices.
So they’ll fool us to fight their dirty wars,
But they’re not worth the fight, so don’t cry sis.

So if we read and learn from history,
And don’t show up for their ginned-up crisis,
We’ll remember we’re one big family;
And that joy, is the reason to cry sis.

The Days Are Coming

Where the truth
Shall be told
Where the tears
Will be dried up
Where the rare smile
Should be modified
Is this the promised world?

Leave the unbelief Where it belongs
As you would not be needing it
Open your eyes to possibilities
Leave the disruptions Where they came from
As it's time has expired
Open your mouth to voice it
Let the world hear your cries,

Where the truth
Shall save a soul
Where the scarce voice
Will be heard
Where the eyes
Shall be opened
Is this the promised world?

My Letter To You

Why do you tease me that way? Put gold in my path when you know it won't stay. Make me think of hope, when I just don't feel that way. You tempt me in ways no other does. You seduce my feelings and make them feel warm, only to cause an emotional storm. I'm tired of you hailing on my parade causing disruptions in my plans, that you have already made. How dare you not tell me what my fate is to be. How dare you let me suffer, why do you enjoy watching as I cry on my knees?
Does it bring you peace knowing I am always in fear, always sad with anger always near. Do you cry when I cry or when I am in pain? Can you feel any of that? I feel like I am going insane. I don't want to throw a pebble into a pond where the ripples are never-ending. I want to let go and let you help heal my heart, my life needs mending.

Premium Member Can'T Handle This Blip

They shut off our power for about 3 hours
To make needed repairs they say
D'ya know how that affects our daily routine
Like our arm's been cut off half way

No heat, no lights, no computers, no telly
We might as well cash in our chips
Aware it was only from nine until noon
But my mind can't handle this blip

Anything different from my normal routine
Throws me in a kind of a dither
I get all sweaty and my eyes bulge out
My speech starts to slip and slither

I once was able to handle these disruptions
When I was young, handsome and virile
Now that I'm a slobbering vile old man
My mental capacity has fizzled

Some people suffer from a power shortage
Every single day of their lives
Got nothing to do with a disruption of power
Their ageing is in overdrive

Thin Lines

I
Graters are for preparing meals
Not for hearts
Diaries, memoir notes are private
Not for phoney pastors
Sometimes a grated heart tells horrors endured because of pastors

II
Lines between advice & control, love & hate
As lines between light, twilight, night are
Very thin
How does an innocent churchgoer learn
Demands from church to lie, hide, break up
Are lines crossing from Teaching to Orders
Disguised as from The Holy Spirit?

III
From behind the lines, I see
While carrying my shredded heart
Looking for bandaids, some nurse
Doctors don't come to our homes
What with power cuts, water disruptions
There will be no healing. Or slow healing.
We hope to find a nurse practitioner
Who also knows we need her prayers

The World's Anger

There’re mass shootings
In almost every state
It’s happening more often
Because of angry people
There’re more wildfires
Spreading everywhere
Raging with such anger
That’s it hard to contain
There’re massive tornadoes
Popping up all over
From the atmosphere’s disruption
Angry forces traveling
Fill with destruction
There’s lots of violence
Especially against the elderly
Knock down, kicks and punches
From an angry soul
Wanting to blame others
For all their problems
There’s massive flooding
With sea levels constantly
Rising
Is the oceans and seas
Angry to!

Steadying

When I was far alarmed
Startled then returned
Fire creator within my one
Enlightened me and burned…
Desire to seek peacefulness
To calm holistically,
Being all love seeing
Free autonomy.
Where burdens don’t influence
Or rattle any nerves
Anxiety diminished
Along with all concerns.
The other place, this dreaming space
Embedded in my core
Always been a part of me
Even long before...
Eruptions of disruptions
To naturally return
To the plane, time again
How powerful is home.

Amtrak

Amtrak was his ride of choice
For oh, so many years
But Biden can’t ride Amtrak now
Because of growing fears.

I read he’d planned to take the train
Before his swearing-in.
That plan was scratched, though, just in case
Disruptions might begin.

For who knows what the whackos plan
To fire up their cause?
Apparently they’re not deterred
By conscience, fear or laws.

So somehow Biden will arrive
In total secrecy
While, fingers crossed, we watch
The ceremony in D.C.

Tranquility

TRANQUILITY
by
JOHN M. ARRIBAS

Calm Seas of Tranquility Sought by All, Found by Few
Earthly Demands, Nuisances, Deflections; a Potent Brew
Distract One from Calmness Needed to Resist the Blows
Constant Meaningless Disruptions That Steal Ones Pose
Tranquility Requires Total Surrender, Capitulation
In Order to Oust Resistance, Frustration, Manipulation

How Can We Seek the Unique Moment of Serene Solace
While Constantly Bombarded with Meaningless Detritus
Need to Be Selective, What We Deem Worthy to Ingest
Measure the Value of the Event: Accept or Reject
Every Moment of Life to Be Celebrated with Poise
Seek out the Calmness of Serenity Discard Daily Noise

Premium Member Gaias Womb Is Full

Along the east coast shores of the Atlantic,
Bluefin tuna swim together in silver waters
Cresting in the sunlight’s lightening thin, rays that
Drape earth’s womb-waters in golden curtains.
Earth’s womb is blessed with many species of offspring;
Finned and plants, her children, all.
Gulls in watch-flight soar high above,
Hoping for dinner, a reward of her love for gifts,
In kind, it’s such good grub.
Just hear them winging, singing songs to
Keep those womb-waters, dancing along
Like a rocking cradle.
Music from the deep, brings such peace,
No disruptions here, in this tranquil place;
Only tranquility can replace the
Peace and security of the womb.
Quiet, serenity
Resides here, with all the
Secrets in Gaia’s keep.
Trust, no one will ever steal
Under cover of night, her secrets deep.
Vanquish will she, the villain invaders
Who seek to harm and steal her labors and claim her
Xiphosura children for their own desires.
Yes, Gaia’s womb’ed ones, she’ll fight for and precious
Zooplankton her precious ones, all.
