Premium MemberA Good Sense of Humour Blunts the Sharp Blades of Reality

Whimsy

Humour is not always fun
Sometimes it’s out of place
But when it strikes it could just put
A smile upon your face.

While walking barefoot on the sand
And contemplating woe,
The muse of humour happened by
And this I did compose:

I am a small and tiny toe
And of the colour pink
I complement my foot so well -
Just love to walk in sync.

I am a large and funny bone
I do my best to charm
And with my bendy sense of fun
My humour can disarm.

I am a nose, a nosy thing
I lead us here and there
Smelling smoke from far-off fires
Just watch my nostrils flare.

Three verses will suffice for now
My muse she has grown tired
I have run out of body parts
That seem to be inspired.

Have I gained from making up
Some humour in this way?
I have not thought of woe at all,
That’s all that I can say.

Premium MemberI am a kindred dolphin

dazzling frothy dolphin dives in dual dynamic with daughter
I marvel at their beauty, and their diving prowess
They astound, astonish, delight and disarm me
I feel one with them, a kindred dolphin

Price of Perfection

The price of perfection,
And the recent deduction,
To keep up the function,
And become a swan,
To show a sanction,
Have dedication,
To the craft of perfection,
And the show of intention,
Following the row,
And strengthen the bow,
To keep up the fact,
To disarm the pact,
And keep the show,
To what you already know,
To remember that the price,
Is in suffice,
To show what you do,
And be someone new,
To grow and unfold,
To keep it inside,
To keep a line,
And toss the dime,
To follow perfection,
To be someone new,
To cast away the old untold,
And we are cajoled,
Is the price of perfection.

Disarmament of a Shield-maiden

A clenching of our hands,
A clinging of our bands.
The sweet aroma of your strawberry-coated strands,
Allow my capability to disarm your fragility.

Pent-up anticipation will meet expectation,
You adorn your shield-maiden attire,
Encouragement to set your onyx rose on fire.
Peeling, petal by petal, stitch by stitch,
Disarming that body metal.

Steel-clad discarded,
Billowing towards her pear-shaped derriere.
Lifting you off your feet,
Give me the sweet treasures I wish to taste—
The nectar of vanilla.

Lay back as I extract
Bridled years of frustration.
Call me your salvation,
Made anew,
Basking in the afterglow of you.

Premium Memberfeast with orphans

another ceasefire
another ceasefire
it won't last long
it'll hold until
weapons are replenished
wounds are patched
the tongues
of the blood puppets
are refreshed
another ceasefire
another ceasefire
it won't last long
neither side thinks
that the other belongs

if there is a god
then we're all god's children
and we all belong
if there is no god
then we're all orphans
and nobody belongs
either way the universe
doesn't care.

make war unprofitable
then it will cease
defang religion
disarm Armageddons
feast peacefully
with orphans

All I Do Is Miss You

Your hands on me felt natural,
like our skin was meant to touch.
Our contours fit like puzzle pieces,
My heart had felt too much.

I studied your face,
like a painting signed by God.
I felt like you loved me.
It somehow was a facade.

I want to feel that way again,
I want that only with you.
But you don’t wish to see me,
you thought we were taboo.

I wish to hear your voice,
that it would become my alarm.
That I would knock my walls down,
comfortable to disarm.

Since then I haven’t seen you,
since the day we shared a kiss.
I’ll forever wish you loved me,
now I simply reminisce.

Who’s not a victim of absurd
Lend me some rationality
To see the best side of the world
I need your bright reality
Won’t you show me how it works
That I'm charged for the actions of those
I didn't vote for and never trust
What does this paradox logic impose?
How could I disarm the army?
If you know, then please reveal
Bear in mind, its only me
Who you talk to, cause I’m real
Not just rhetorical hallucination
Not what you generalize
Under banner of some nation
With all evil that implies
Its just me, hello, I’m here
Can you tell me, like a friend
What I should expect to hear
From the world, that dreams to end?

Premium MemberOde to Sir Paul Reeves v2

What a magnificent servant you were,
serving God and man in plight,
Nothing but your quiet demeanor to disarm
the most cantankerous and disagreeable alike.

You served the church, a beacon in the storm,
Your gentle voice is a balm to every soul.
You served the public, a master of your art,
Your legacy is a garden where compassion grows.

You lived to serve and thought nothing of it

Now your bright spark has vanquished, and only a memory remains of you,
Recalling what you have done has destined you to fame.

We who remain are lessened by our absence. Salute you and your deeds,
We take heed of your lessons.

So farewell, dear friend, and think of us fondly,
As you reside in your heavenly abode,
While we below something to fill the hole in our hearts.
You have left behind your spirit, which will forever guide us.

Take me away with your eloquent talk
Tell me news about my ideology
Show me the opportunities baulked
Smile at my unsaid apologies
Put me into scheme where I’m just a screw
Within a machine that makes war
Stereotype me with anything you
Distinguished about times before
Your precious guidance is my comfort zone
All you expected to see
That’s what I am, when I’m here alone
And you are talking to me
What can I say? There’s no way to ignore
Calamities of some failed state
Where I was accidentally born
You wouldn’t envy this fate
I won't try to disarm the army
I can't vacate laws and police
Of course I don’t think its too funny
To be accused for all this
Don’t want to cause any damage
There is no point to load you
With what I’m not able to manage
With something beyond my full due
As you have hinted, I’m little
So in metaphysical sense
There's nothing about to fiddle
I cost no extensive expence
I value a lot what you say
You are my interlocutor here
You help me to live through the day
Even if me you can’t hear.

The Devils dance

My words evade me
Sweat forms in beads
My tongue betrays me
At lightening speed

Quivering knees
Disarm my stance
Panic breeds
The devil’s dance

Something akin
To mourning hope
Runs through my skin
I fail to cope

I babble more
To ease the hush
They must abhor
My need to rush

Attention Queen
Or rambling freak
I didn’t mean
To over speak

Afande She

She has a pretty face
She carries herself well
In uniform she is an iconic
Many so desire her moments

A detective she carries her gun well
When duty calls she flashes her smile
Its a smile i have see disarm many
She has no use for brute force
For her lovely essence nets all delinquents

I used to spy her long time ago
At the signals training school
Once we were Seim Cohorts
Remember.. Kurutu mbona hanyoi..
God knows what followed that

Her MO disarms with ease and grace
My MO disarms with an O prerogative
Saidia Utumishi.. They also need service
Our officers in uniform have to be served too
That's where PMC's we come in and succeed
For controlled outcomes and black ops OP

But by grace do I shadow your form
from each darkened night to bright-lit morn.
You're silvery-white in my life's storm
hosting shivery thoughts yet unborn.

Would that my pen divine such meaning,
enflame fiery feelings unbidden
that stun me dumb at their convening.
My emotions revealed, unhidden.

Yet my disguise is opaque it seems.
You cross a transcendental realm –
unspoken vesper in sacral dreams
that never attains its lofty helm.

Someday, I know you will understand
my passionate affection for you -
How my heart bleeds with tender demand,
unformed entanglement to pursue!

My ink is flowing hoping to charm,
My poem an aphrodisiac.
Unwritten rhymes planning to disarm
and attract you to my love lilac.

Though you're beyond my bewitching reach,
I devote this unsung ode to us.
My dear, with unsaid words I beseech -
Let's join our hearts without further fuss.

A POET'S CRUSH - collaboration with Linda Alice Fowler

But by grace do I shadow your form
