Die Cast Poems | Examples

Playful Scene

Act one had just begun
on the day we met
how was I to know the die was cast
and the stage was set

Act two what was I to do
when you stole my soul
who'd have guessed the part was mine
and I would play a leading role

Act three now you're with me
I put my heart into all I do
should I fall before curtain call
I could put my heart in you

Act four can't ask for more
I won't miss a line or cue
it's beyond my wildest dreams
a fairy tale come true

Snowflakes are hexagonal
As are honeycomb cells
Insects are 6-legged
A die cast has 6 faces
The 6 degrees of separation
Connects us all to our 6

Premium Member A Moment in Time

As the music played, eyes strayed,
She moved; she grooved...On fire!
Her hands explored, own flesh adored,
She read then fed my desire.

Together we danced, eyes romanced,
Lust slipped its script to her.
My body baked, hunger ached,
Lips brushed, blood rushed, a blur.

We left the hub, the seething club,
Outside my stride was strong.
Her pad was near, intentions clear,
Clothes ripped, she stripped to a thong.

Fingers dived, on fervor arrived,
Keen hands took command of me.
Fell to her knees, desperate to please,
Die cast, hard and fast her plea.

My hands found hair, torrid affair,
My mind was blind from bliss.
She pulled away, a game to play,
She crawled then called for a kiss.

Clothes were gone, two became one,
Inside my pride did swell.
Hard and deep, heat's tempo we'd keep,
We'd fight for the right to excel.

A war was waged, a battle raged,
Our cries the prize we shared.
I felt it build, almost fulfilled,
Not yet, her threat, eyes glared.

I did respond and went beyond,
I tried, we cried and won.
Together we came, eyes aflame,
Enraptured we'd captured the sun.

Respect

I cannot become flat
My curves are not straight lines
My die is cast, forged by fire
Yet I try to bend it for you

I put the blow torch to my heart
Coining it over the anvil
Pressing it to new form
Old shapes long forgotten, new again.

Made to please you
Buffed to mirrored shine.
A reflection, or a phantom.
But it is not me.

Now the next shine has your eye
It is mine again.
Melted down with self-improvement
Made strong again

Never again to hammer against myself
Knowing the value of imperfection
Stay true to the die-cast
Compromise but do not conform.

Premium Member Man's Best Friend, Really?

Humans are not like us
They are very hard to teach
We show them what we can
If it's within our reach

Some are quite cruel to us
They haven't yet evolved
If they could communicate
The problem would be solved

They seem a trifle dimwitted
Their language is complex
We learn what we can from them
But they don't pass the test

They don't seem to see it
Our language is not that hard
Instead, they enslave us
and put us in the yard

We care too deeply for them
I don't know to what end
Destroying our environment
They never seem to bend

They chain, beat, and torture us
and some are left to starve
They keep us locked in cages
Our home is a backyard

We once were free to roam the earth
The past where we once thrived
But now they maim and neuter us
Our offspring euthanized

When we meet our maker
of creatures far and wide
Our part ensured in heaven
Their downfall is their pride

Our lot was given the die-cast
and we must persevere
The humans remain clueless
That is our biggest fear

Their future's still in question
with their ears that do not hear
If they can't learn to listen
to the bond we hold so dear

After the First Date Waiting at the Door

Softly, falling snowflakes dance around us, a whimsical trance subtle scents of winter's breath mingling with the promise of new life's depth — with our eyes locked, chests beating as one, the world around us a hazy vision spun, fingers interlace, a tender silent tongue, nervous mamihlapinatapai — die cast roll as we both lean in, anticipations herald jejune as we brush, ineffable warmth from within — core of the sun, bodies numb.

Memento Mori-bund relived phantasmagoric,
somnambulantly — dice read sweven.

Premium Member Twice Born We Live On

Twice born we live on

Thoughts rested, die cast,
within the void vast,
aliveness awake
has nothing at stake.

Peace that's thus imbibed
cannot be described,
in time stretched stillness;
path to soul's wellness.

Agendaless soul,
blissful, vibrant, whole,
mode - embrace, release,
flows through life with ease.

Bliss beats heart's joy lifts,
our consciousness shifts,
becoming love's flame,
which mind cannot name.

Once desires are shorn,
here and now twice born,
ego dies, we rise;
in rapture, heart sighs.

try your luck, perchance,
around the room you glance
the sea of faces looks back askance
but, a cheeky wink invites a dance,
a budding romance 'tis happenstance
as luck would have it, purely off-chance
a die cast, a furtive darting eye-glance
rolls to snake eyes, and entwining prance

Rumblestone

Rumbling earth offers it's own baseline
Bones of the underworld crackle thunderously
Concussive forces driving Gaia's ecstasy.
The man watches as her eyes crackle menacingly
Mortal flirtations lusting for battle
Stone and Crystal, immense and fragile.
Booming, resonating, radiating, alive,
Conjured rumblings otherworldly
Each threaten alternately
To burst his chest
Or to implode it.
With each pulse, each soul-searing challenge of her gaze,
Every aching breath
Yet he remains, agonizingly still
And there is nought but to wait for her to move first.
It is a reaper's die cast in darkness
Uncalculated gamble of unwitting fortune
So he must wait.
Her almar might yet give a wary soul rest
Hiraeth, and hope.
Or unmercifully rend him hapless.
So lingers his being, languishing in exquisite agony
Hoping desperately, and rumbling as eldritch runes 'neath horrors unknown.

Premium Member The Light Within

Hearts unfulfilled desire, the causation
Ensouling form, that we may feel contrast
Pulsations; contraction and expansion

Memory erased, our soul here aghast
Dark dungeons of delusion veiling light
Destiny unfolding, as of die cast

Dreams seem real, offering fleeting delight
Yet we feel within, deep discontentment
For light of day, dies in shadows of night

Disillusioned, we seek joy permanent
Plunging headlong into our heart centre
Wherein we sense, the vibrant bliss current

Distanced now, from idle ego banter
We just be to become, with Gods love one
As innate aliveness within canters

Within cave of heart, shines the golden sun
Go there oh hermit, lower mind undone

Inspector

I used to inspect at work in a die cast company
before I moved into quality control

I'm a inspector in our plant
all I have to do is check
but if I throw a part away
the die casters down my neck
I stand there day after day
a hundred parts thrown my way
if I pass one a little bit bad
I've got the foreman down right mad
every day there's something new
a scrap of a different kind
sometimes I don't know how to go
cause the next day they change their mind
sometimes I think I'd be better off
working out on the line
cause if these parts gets returned
they dam sure won't be mine........

Die-Cast

Memories,
die-cast in their emotion,
—catalysts of the soul

Say Now

You who in autumn followed here a spring
From your deserted lands and did find me
Wanderer lost on my lean path; are you?
Or was destiny’s die cast too soon?

Are you to curse, or from curses to free?
To make or break me? Answer faithfully.
For you’ve dwindled in grace so close to naught,
Your subtlety (like on a bus) got off.
You seem to crave the spaces between us more,
Or perhaps I am no one that you can love.
I am the same one, say now who you are.
Soul murder-er? Or inamorata?

Say now to permit me yet, or to not,
To give myself to you, or yet to not.
Say quick and release us on either turn –
To leave and let me live, or be the one.
