Deductions Poems

Premium MemberIf you wish to conquer my soul in shreds of forever

If you wish to conquer my soul in shreds of forever,
Drop your mask and carry me in your embrace,
As a panther, lie in wait for me, not to steal me away,
But to dance with me in the love's palace we yearn for.
The storm inside of me is silently disarmed,
In the quiet chambers, with the murmur of an abandoned river,
Cast my becoming into the future's pastels,
And blend into my passage, smooth as a muse in flight.
If you add to our struggles the salt and bitterness of life,
Wield your character like an art of pure mastery,
Your sincerity will be a lighthouse in the darkness,
And may you wander far from the sneaky chains of deductions.
Rather, go and sculpt your language from mute gestures,
Mysterious, as the eyes speak what words cannot,
And let your steps be guided by robust melodies,
That feed my hungry eyes with beauty and shape.
Now follow the steps that promise ungrasped bonds,
And don't forget the light that must end the enshrouded spectacle,
So that in the end, my soul may be enmeshed in your nets,
And you enclose it in a labyrinth of love, to gift it immortality and the eternal.

Premium MemberApril Angst

Et tu, IRS?

I'm not known for being sentimental,
Nostalgia's not really my thing,
But each year 'round the middle of April,
While I wait for my CPA to ring,
As I'm sorting through piles of instructions
Re what I can and can't claim as deductions,
I know in my heart without failing
There'll be plenty of weeping and wailing,
And I'll wonder why I ever had to roam.
'cause when the "ides of taxes" are upon me,
I'm reminded why I miss my Texas home*.

*No state income tax in Texas.

Poetic Love

He found her in a stray in a
night poem... she noticed him in a
   Flaming Tirade...
- I admire your tricks... !
- I like your tirades... !
- Actually I call them deductions...!
So they took off exchanging poems...
From that day on, they were enchanted and
  loved madly...
Each one on their own page...!

Lifes' Book of Instruction

Sometimes in life, one needs a map to find a destination.
Relying on such a tool can cause a slight defendant relation.
There are times that one might ponder the meaning of existence.
On this journey of trial, error, joy, and pain, one prime element is persistence.

Ignorance of man's law still constitutes being liable,
Therefore it is wise to use references within the Holy Bible.
Pages of the word and lineal heritage abide within,
solutions to problems can be found in the Bible, it's the best place to begin.

Be not dismayed by arrows that fly by day or fire that consumes by night,
for utilizing the scriptures helps in manifesting superior insight.
When lost or dismayed about which way to go,
the use of the scriptures will help you to grow.

Have the humility of the earth, which can be molded into any shape,
and have complete faith in God and his spirit will emanate as wine from the grape.
The consequences of life will work out fine with proper deductions,
when assembling something for the first time, one needs a book of instructions.

Premium MemberIrreversible Passions

Loyalty serves solidarity
as passion fuels integral communion.

Passionate patristic patriotism
does not work
for optimizing resilient healthy intent
nor do partisan loyalties
win/win play for resonant wealth
building collaborative feelings,
when the cart
replaces the horse.

Solidarity with my Home Team
my narrowest nuclear family
only those who look
and sound like Straight White Patriarchal
monotheistic chosen
and grace-privileged wealth
serves loyalty only to further win/lose competitions,

Aspiring champions of small-egominded
and disembodied reductions,
deductions
divisions,
rather than wealthing health co-investments
in Earth-collaborative consciousness.

RightWing loyalty serves
LeftWing multicultural solidarity
as red-blooded patristic passion
fuels ecofeminist green communion.

Similarly,
but more co-arisingly,
safe and resilient cultural wealth
empowers win/win ClimateHealth
or win/lose subclimate supremacy
monoculturally risks fragility
of polycultural green communion
inductive,
integral,
inclusive healthy-wealth opportunities.

Dogmatic supremacy,
loyalty to divinely-inspired causes
of a nation

or tribe
chosen to be blessed
above all others,

significance,

Is rather like evangelical capitalism,
an anti-ecological colonization,
pushing win/lose

in which runaway economic competition
is right,
righteous,
sacred duty for evolving monotheistic historic might
of divinely blessed

Uninformed

win/win cooperatively enlightening systems,

Perpetually more inclusive

embracing more than reductive traumatic dissonance,
enlightening deeper intuitive compassion

Can't follow 1040 instructions?
Need help claiming all those deductions?

Premium MemberSudoku Obsession

So surprised was I when one day I discovered
a propensity for Sudoku, a game involving numbers
for math was not my forte, but now the game made sense
my mind was focused now to solve the puzzle, hence
sequences and deductions became my preference.

I played it in the morning, after my breakfast tea
I played it in the afternoon, with dog beside my knee
I played it in the evening, neglecting the TV
I played it standing in long lines, absorbed as I could be.

In short, I played the game so much throughout the live long day
my obsession with Sudoku ruled my mind in every way...
...until I discovered computer Scrabble
then, quite suddenly, Sudoku up and flew away!

Kill the Corrupt Rats

Cookery is slavery if you don’t partake of the meal
It becomes foolery if you keep settling the bill
It is misery if you repeat the drill
Familiarity leads to rats chilling in the grill

Employment is exploitation if you can’t get a fair deal
It becomes poverty if you keep taking the pill
It is deprivation with tax deductions on your will
Gullibility that leads the thieves to steal

Lachesismwish

The desire to be struck by disaster,
Or it’s just a thought.
Nobody knows what the story of my mind is,
Something that even makes me haunt.

The impulse of being in a plane crash,
It is always on my mind.
These deductions will help you see
That I’m nothing but just a fiend.

In search of a kink in the smooth arc of life
With obscure sorrow.
Whatever comes after me
I’ll face it like there is no tomorrow.

For some kicks
I’ll plunge over a waterfall,
But when death peek around the corner
I certainly won’t crawl.

The thrill of sprinting on the very brink,
With some vile shady thoughts or
Curiosity to see whether I stand tall or
WILL I FALL?

Paradigm Shift

I’m adjusting fixed positions
On opinions and deductions
From now on breathing other airs
I have a stack of fresh instructions

I let go of once held handle bars
Veering off from straight line steering
Riding curves requiring nerves
Whilst watching stances disappearing

Chancers wait to try it on
Consider risk-maintaining stakes
Ask what can we afford to lose
Whilst still expecting lucky breaks

What makes a physical place,
and a metaphysical space
sacred?
If anything does,
or could,
or would,
or even should?

Could divine Energy
do less than grow sacred gratitude
for wildlife
and our domesticating WinWin habitats?

NaturaLeft and SpiRightual
healthy physical ecosystems
supported
by-lateral temporal Wonder
swimming in limbic bilateral Awe
within metaphysical ego-subsystems
of Holy EcoMatriarchal WinWin SpiritWomb
praising and paranoid pouting against

DNA described,
prescribed,
revived healthing natures,
not just equitably,
but with sacred/secular WinWin integrity.

Wealthy divine Spirits
Healthy humane nature

Integrity of LeftTruth deductions

What makes a physical ego-identity place

Give Your Contest Goose Eggs To Someone Else

Connie collects goose eggs from contest
Far honest than the geese lays the nest
The basket case now full
Lipped with geese's bull
It's time to be a contest orphan blessed

Note-I admire Viv Wigley. 35 placements in his recent poetry contest.

That's commendable.

It's a *standard contest,* not the *Olympics.*

I'm sure he gave lower placements and deductions for *mistakes.*

This is mirth.

It gives a shine to all the contestants and a chance that their

poems be read, especially those on the bottom tier.

It follows the PS premise of promoting a poet's growth.

What's wrath are those contest sponsors that treat *standard

poetry contests* as the *Olympics* ... those few that come

riding up on their broom, black top hats and all, nose a twitching

and wiping those poet's entries from the face of the Earth for

some technicality (oh my!) or for not appealing to the sponsor's

muse (oh my!), which is the antithesis of promoting growth.

To the Viv Wigley's, I duly applaud.

Premium MemberThe Poorer We Are

The poorer we are the bigger
our gain into Heaven.
Who said the rich can't get into heaven?
For each one they lift up is a step closer
to God.
For He knows the Heart of all.
There are those who just don't give for
Tax Deductions.
There are those who give not to gain.
There are those who trully believe their
well-being was meant to blanket the poor.

There are reasons for rich and poor alike.
Not just for possessions and power.
But the sharing of ones time, energy, resources
and life.

Who says the rich can't get into heaven? Think again.
And, ponder it well.
