That`s not Safe
I dared to battle with the wild thunder
Where flashes of lightning could blind the eyes,
Where I escaped being torn asunder
And darkish clouds veiled the crest of the sky;
In this inner tempest that wrecked my heart
Every burst of wild wind echoed deep pains
Tearing the strata of my heart apart
While I struggled with stinging stress and strains.
If woeful storms turn the days into night,
Will summer sweet sunshine be far away
To spread its glow on earth and shed its light,
To guide man along the virtuous way.
Battling with thunder, I learnt that`s not safe
With due lessons learnt, this can be vouchsafed.
“When we tread along the journey of life
Let`s roll up our sleeves and strive to survive.”-By Author

Treading Along the Journey of life
When we tread along the journey of life
Never let darkish despair grip our mind
Ravage the sweet seamless fruits of our strife
Endanger the glow of our prior shine,
Rather roll our sleeves and strive to survive
Ready to burn midnight candles for time.
Two black eyes
On a sweet white face
Floppy ears that lie
Those ears actually taste
Algae is the most favourite place
With no arms
No tricks up their sleeves
Should they be on a farm?
Each looks like a sheep
If only they made a bit of cheese
To light their fire
They suck chloroplasts
Leaf sheep never tire
Photosynthesis gives them gas
Even without the sun’s sunny blast
Amazing you say
We must agree
And all shout hurray!
Photosynthesis under the sea?
An amazing feat for a slug so wee
Darkish water, stormy seas
Not a problem to be seen
The leaf sheep glow and glean
Pokey horns but they’re not mean
Wearing chlorophyll dresses in neon green
Not green with envy or jealousy
Not these hermaphrodites
Always with themselves lovey
Never a fight
Peace and love are always in sight
You will want to pet them
This most unlikely lot
But please don’t squeeze them
They will pop
They’re the size of a dot
Soiled sinners lecturing on the art of being pristine.
Innocents retreat to black pits and darkish seams.
God tucked away the red lantern and ivory ring.
Very few are rescued from the darkness within.
The good sheep are mixing gospel and fear.
Charlatans and sharks are circling in with shears.
Talking heads are in it for ratings and attention.
Town criers' race-baiting for a vote once again.
Millions gorging on fish and blue-collar greens.
Very few are sowing; they're just takers of the seed.
The horizon is deeply rouged and roughened.
Nobody cares enough to balm it up or buff it.
Bloated children are crying out once again.
Cupboard and pantry are running very thin.
The lullaby and nursery rhymes are dulled.
So, one day they decided just to snuff them.
Black crows preening atop a thorny crown.
The curtain of humanity came crashing down.
Somewhere deep in the soul of a dead-end night.
Heaven was nailed to a neon, no vacancy sign.
Saint Peter packed it in without even saying goodbye.
An unconventional comedian
Indian born comic Spike Milligan
His dark humour in sketches
Had the people in stitches
Without doubt was a very funny man.
When his friend Harry Secombe passed away
Spikes quite darkish humour came into play
Said "Glad he went before me
He'd have sang out of pity "
At Spike's service they played one anyway .
Now peacefully in his grave he lies still
In a lonely church yard up on the hill
His dark humour won the day
When sadly he passed away
His headstone says , I told you I was ill...
In life’s rich, cascading waterfalls , they bathe!
Sun glistening on their tanned glorious skin.
If a rainshower, later, suddenly, their picnic ends,
They simply, smile, and rush to find a cozy inn!
They do not seek darkish thoughts.morose.
Neither write poetry, wherein life is all a joke.
Principled, people, in fine, feathered.prose.
Respectful,never profane ..maidens and blokes.
Unafraid women and men of earthly realities,
So bless them all as they create with eternal vigor.
Humble, no pretense to be a second Maimondedes.
Penning ever of gallantry and dauntless vigor!
O shadows why I know thee not?
Thou came so muffed in haze in fog!
O stop for once !O peace! O love!
O haze of eye, O heart of dove!
Which darkish clouds are on the sky?
Which watery waves afloat at sides ?
All wail and cry across the sky
On yonder hilltop reached the tides
I need Noah's ark of palmy bark
O stop for once deluge of love!
Thy Holy Temps, thy mosque and Church
For torn off hearts refuge of love
O hark O hear , the wounds thou bear
To Him more than all world art dear
The One who smiles at thee from high
Thy Lord who lives in heart of thine
My Autumn dreams come out of heart
And sore on clouds on high and high
O come and with thee take my words
On gusts of winds to moonlit sky
O heart O vale, May not thou fail
He on His Eden gate Thee hale
This world was not for sake of Thee
He made for thee a home on high
This dust of thine to dust may flee
Go soul, Thou fly on seventh sky
The dusky eve in country meads
In rainy weather rainy day
All trees were standing stony still
While kids in street with boats they play
The water smiled and flowed in lake
And smiled all time the mirthful gulls
As silent as a painted scene
To throbbing heart to itself pulls
In watery fields they stood like saints
As in a ritual in a pray
So far so far I stood in awe
A single word I cannot say
Thousands of Questions in my mind
Hide and seek as if they play
Seagulls are mad in natures love
As mad as any one can be
The weeds' the lake, the ancient wood
Surpassed the every scene in glee
Oh nature such angels of mirth!
You cant and cant in all world see
The smiling blooms all smiled at them
While leaves composed a beauty tune
The gushing water gushed in mirth
With icy flakes with sleety tune
In sullen morns in mournful eves
When sadness sends her gloomy rays
They sooth me with their beauty sight
Forever in my heart they stay
In greenish vale on watery lake
No worldly painter paint such scene
In darkish nights of waning moon
They shine with an unearthly sheen
???
Which dream is floating in thine eyes?
Why tears thou shed in darkish night?
A flickering flame of hope art thou
For aching hearts a mirthful sight
Which temp, which grave which forlorn road
You mourn for which delightful sight?
In starless nights show thou the way
To travellers wandering thus forlorn
In misty nights near haunted ruins
They read some ancient mystic yarn
Thy lingering eyes why weepst thou thus?
From centuries why thy wounds are green?
Thou weepst for Psyche or for Ruth
In balmy dark them thou hath seen!
Thou beauteous than the honeyed eve:
Thou glittering than the stars in sky
Thou with whose charming gloomy light
In chariots come moths and go by
Who destined thou to live in gloom ?
Who unto thou this doom hath brought?
My soul_mate it is but the one
Whom carried thou in thine own heart
O candles lit my temples all
My gloomy gloomy darkish ways
In beechen green I can not see
The starry blooms, The heaven's fays
O Thou votary of the lakes
Votary of the clouds that float
They row with robins in thy wake
The autumn leafy reddish boat

Sixth Place

Come out with me, my love.
The sun is shining bright today.
Come let’s enjoy the calm
Despite this mighty winter’s day.
For look ominous dark clouds gather
On the periphery of the horizon.
But it will not rain today, it's calm.
Only wispy white clouds can be seen rising.
Sure the trees are bare and icicles
Hang lonely here and there on darkish branches.
Still there is no cold wind to speak of.
Leafless offshoots will be still, not one dances.
Come out with me, my love.
The sun is shining bright today.
Come let’s enjoy the calm
Despite this mighty winter’s day.
Slowly follow the uneven path
Until a meandering rill we detect.
It leads towards a homely tavern
Two cups of hot black coffee we won't reject.
Night will soon creep upon our cold world
Back home we must soon repair as the dark clouds
Silently gather above our skies,
Back to our home, away from maddening crowds.
Come out with me, my love.
The sun is shining no more today.
Let’s enjoy the calm at home
Despite this mighty winter’s day.
BLUE FAIRY in BLUE HOLE
Large marine vertical cavern
or sink-hole as we learn
open to ocean-surface:
Great marvel no less,
nearly, roughly circular, in particular
appearing in darkish blue, amazing hue!
Spectacular Blue Hole in oceanic periphery.
High transparency of deep water stands,
entwined with white carbonate sand,
catching intense blue part of sun spectrum
sending dark blue reflection at random.
Blue Hole: Astounding charm.
Natural formation not a mystery.
Sinking into sapphire blue of your eyes
Great marvel no less
High transparency of depth in emotive urge
Astounding charm:
Blue lilac glaze reflecting natural amour: My Blue Fairy.

2022 Poetry Marathon Mile 10
Contest by Mark Toney
He bears in hand old guiles,
And tons of wiles he wields
Across breath-mired worlds,
Upon sands of mortal fields.
His chilling senses waning fall,
And eyes darkish with tired sins
Beget thoughts bitterer than gall,
Prowling in malice-hoisted stilts.
With creeds devoid of marrow,
He's exchanged sense for myths;
Seeking to mar glittering faiths
Twice before the roosters crow.
His date with Hades' gallows
Draws nigh with every thrust
Of ill-tipped sword into virtue,
Muting Lord-chastened fellows
Unbowed by lead-heavy woes.
clouds
gathered here
on the ether
rains are
getting ready
to fall down
storms are
in frolicsome mood
with dusty wind
my love
in happiest movement
of facebook gossiping
i'm and my pen
how wonderful alone
by seeing far dark-blue barking sky
words after words
monotonous to pleasant
as rosary beads showers my sight
pebbles with surfing waves
calls me with night beauty
darkish moon-lit beach writes inert life
cast away the snail
the crab crawling on sandy
entwine the whole nerve of my pen
clouds, rains, storms
envelop a letter for my love and me
“she addicted to facebook and me to poetry!”
