MIGHTY DAVID PRAISED AND DANCED BEFORE GOD (SAMUEL 6:14-16)

Mighty David praised and danced before God
David was a high stepper
A toe tapper
Man did He love God
Mighty David praised and danced before God
Mighty David praised and danced before God
And David danced before the Lord
And David danced before the Lord
Step, step O’ Hallelujah
Step, step O’ Hallelujah
Wearing His priestly garment;

David brought up shouts of joy
As he praised and dance
The people of Israel join in dance
Singing Hallelujah
Leaping and dancing before the Lord
David blessed the people
Fed them tween dances bread, cakes of dates and raisins
He just kept on praising
David danced before God

Premium Member Stars Danced Around the Somber Moon

A sudden darkness veiled the world below.
Luna was defused by a shadowed sky,
giving cause for Earth to be wrought with woe.
Something strange caused the night to go awry
as a shroud covered moonlight's golden glow.

My pulse quickened at the phenomenon.
I inhaled the floral scent of roses.
Snowflakes drifted over garden and lawn.
Like a fairytale that one composes,
it was a magical scene to dwell on.

Stars were dancing around the somber moon.
The brightest ones provided enough light
to see them twirling to a rhytmic tune.
What a spectacle I witnessed tonight;
stars waltzing and snow in the month of June!

With drooping eyelids, I soon fell asleep,
awakened when dawn's fingers touched my face.
At the window I sat, ready to weep.
Of snow and roses, there was not a trace.
The tale of last night I'll secretly keep.

She took him handly to her home
As her pleasures began to roam
Onto her bedroom she took flight
Her moon and stars danced the night

Under the covers of romance
Their wildfires began to advance
It spread and twisted all its might
Her moon and stars danced the night

She boxed her lover one by one
While their playgrounds cherished the fun
When the clock struck twelve she held tight
Her moon and stars danced the night

The legs of the night carried on
To a beautiful morning dawn
Their windows opened to the light
Her moon and stars danced the night

As the land danced to the moon
An artist took her hand in his
As he primed LILAC skies of June
His MISTY lover hung on this

The SLUMBER of paint rising fast
As the land danced to the moon
The WEARY artist had a blast
To the landscape's ETCHING he swoon

He paced with her and played her tune
On his canvas a lover springs
As the land danced to the moon
His brushes rock, like GUITAR strings

Though he tried to CAJOLE a tryst
She escaped his picture and croon
With a SIGH his paints drain this twist
As the land danced to the moon

THE LOLLIPOP DANCED

The lollipop danced
All around
Spinning colors of
Red, yellow, and brown
Like a ballerina on fire
Wearing such beautiful
In-Ring attire
She had all
The perfect steps
Patterning the floor
With her tiny footsteps
To see a lollipop
With such drive
Makes my heart feel
So warm inside

Premium Member candy canes danced off the shelf

on Tuesday the candy canes danced off the shelf
I almost got run over by a screaming running elf.
Where is the head baker? He asked without apology.
Watch where you are going! I yelped to that arrogant he.

Then I saw something horrific for myself.
Those striped candy canes had all danced off the shelf.
They were doing the tango, and macarena too.
I almost crunched two of them with my left shoe.

Where is Santa? I yelled as I left Candy Cane hall.
Candy canes are going wild, their personalities so tall!
Some of them followed me out the door which I forgot to shut.
Santa chastised me for this, when I finally reached his hut.

Premium Member I Danced With Them All

in streams of sunbeams inviting
my face to turn upwards
I am captured by intangible senses of
nutmeg and cinnamon communion-
candy-coated moments blossoming
As the wizard of memories wakes a dream

speechless and smiling
standing and body turning with movement
I am drawn onto the shag carpet
of blades sprouting green lightheartedness
tickling the soles of my feet
unabashedly bare
naked on an aimless path

shuffling gaited rhythms of a waltz step
striking with carefree muted thuds
on the squishy sod
jumping-running-skipping…
lifting ever higher-a freedom
that only children know

visitors from the ghosts of my youth
appear from the mettle of my core
singing, talking and laughing
each lyric echoing unrestrained
their haunting chimes pasted
in a basket of blue skies painted
with art of clouds
colored like vague stranded souvenirs-

a pictorial imbued across the horizon
a stage-play of our backyard friendships
step-by-step twirling-arms swinging-round
bare feet colliding with smiles
and I…..with great laughter...
I danced with them all!

Premium Member She Danced With the Moon

She danced with the moon
For the stars in the sky,
Then into my heart;
I’ll never know why.

Her laughter, contagious;
Enchanting her looks.
Lept right of the pages
From storied old books.

She sings up the morning
And tucks in the night.
That lilting, sweet voice
Tells me everything’s right.

When she’s gone, I’m empty
And filled with despair:
An unfillable void,
Black nothingness there.

And then she returns
On the rays of the sun,
Glittering, sparkling,
Like gold thread, finespun.

She danced with the moon
For the stars in the sky,
Then into my heart;
I’ll never know why.

Premium Member I Belly Danced My Heart Out

I belly danced my heart out
Until someone yelled STOP!
But wait, I lie. I kept dancing.
Now doing the quick Lindy Hop.

I twisted and twirled and stomped and stamped.
Someone yelled out “Stop! You little Tramp!”
This did not make me mad, for I was in the zone.
I shuffled right by them, my craft duly honed.

She is so silly! Someone said in a mean kind of way.
I did not care at all. I was here to play.
She’s belly dancing again! Someone yelled. Let’s make her stop!”
I would not stop now until my body needed to drop.

Dancing makes me happy; it keeps my blood clean.
To make me stop would be incredibly mean.
I guess they do not understand, jealousy is in their way.
But I danced on happily, throughout the next day.

Premium Member She Broke the Chains and Danced Away

He thought he was her everything
Pretending to be a savior
When the only saving she needed
was from him

His masks were many
She was fooled for awhile
His charismatic charm was mesmerizing
until she understood

It was the chase he liked
Once caught, he became brutally mean
Small and petty, a secret man
Showing this face to no other

She broke the chain of affection
and danced away
before he could damage her psyche
the way he had damaged four others

Premium Member We Danced-

On the marble floor
We stood standing above
Eye gazing vision of love
Oh, I touched her soul
She made me whole
I took her hand
While still at glance
Placed my arm and hand around her waist
As we still there we began to move about
We danced
Side by side
Step by step
Side to side
I kissed her heart and soul
Holding her ever tight never letting go
For you see the lights
Her sweet breath
Yes, we kissed
Under the lights
Never missing a beat a step
While standing embraced
Lovingly we dance, we dance, dance

We Danced To Our Song

The first dance was ours, our song, perfect words
A special dance, seeing nobody else, in our moment
Oblivion, blurred, just us in focus, slowly, tight
Two slowly dancing, you in white, my songbird
It was the beginning

The next dance was his, our song, perfect words
A special dance, seeing our baby son, in that moment
With joy, hope, love, all in focus
Three slowly dancing, you both in white, my songbird
It was a new beginning

The next dance was hers, our song, perfect words
A special dance, seeing our baby girl, in that moment
With joy, hope, love, all in focus
Four slowly dancing, you in white, my songbird
It was a new beginning

The next dance was ours, our song, perfect words
A special dance, seeing nobody else, in our moment
Tears blurred, no focus, slowly, tight
Two slowly dancing, you in white, my songbird
It was the ending

The words washed us, so slow but full of us
We fell in love to this song
Our babies born to this song
We said our goodbyes to this song
You will always be

My Songbird

Danced Together Hearing Same Song

Good Night My Love on Youtube -

Here is a song for you to enjoy.
You and I danced together to
this song many years ago.
The words still mean much to
me just like you do. If I could
only be my amorous self again
and entertain you with my each
word. Here I am meditating while
thinking about you. Your love and life
are always so important to me.
I thank God for each and every second
of them that He gave to me. Have a
deep, restful and wonderful night so
that you can be prepared to meet
me tomorrow with all of your shining
radiance which I will thoroughly enjoy.

With all My Love, Jim
