A Moonlight Dance

Long ago beneath the moonlight glow
We danced together, up close and slow
Caressed by midnight’s velvety hue
You asked me if I would marry you.

My soul went soaring to outer space
I whispered I would, as my heart raced
Though many obstacles came our way
We huffed and puffed and blew them away.
