One Soul, Two Mortals

VERSE 1
If love can fly like a dove,
It will find peace in your heart.
There flows the fountain of love,
So never let it depart.

CHORUS
True love surely spreads wide wings,
Hate makes it fly far away.
My queen, take me as your king,
Hear my plea, I gently pray.

VERSE 2
A garden for my rose plant,
It blossoms with joy and peace.
Its sweetness none can recant,
For it tastes pure, sweet bliss.

REPEAT CHORUS

BRIDGE
We’re one soul though two mortals,
The mirror showing me joy.
Your heart and mind are portals
To love that will never cloy.

VERSE 3
Whatever song my heart sings,
It’s for your love to hold me.
Save me from the pain life brings,
Set my heart forever free.

REPEAT CHORUS TILL FADE

Too much is enough

Too much of your love is enough,
For my soul to breathe pure and clear.
Let your kiss not fall on my cuff,
But on my cheeks to dry each tear.

Give me your heart beyond measure,
And drown me deep in its vastness.
Let me swim in its true treasure,
For my limbs are weak in fastness.

Too much of your care can't be bad,
The more your love, the more the joy.
None drinks your love and still feels sad,
Since the love you give never cloy.

Let me soar on the waves of love,
That my mind may cease to worry,
And still its aimless, restless rove—
True love needs not rush or hurry.

Goodness makes people beautiful

"Beautiful people are not always good, but good people are always beautiful." - Imam Ali (a.s)
.................................................

Real beauty shines from the inside out;
Without goodness, beauty harbors doubt.
A kind heart helps real beauty to show,
For goodness makes its light truly glow.

Beauty alone makes none truly pretty,
Goodness, with kindness and some pity,
Blends wisdom with strength on a human face—
A blessing bestowed by special grace.

When beautiful people are also good,
Then their beauty is without falsehood.
It becomes a divine and earthly joy—
Too pure a feeling to ever cloy.

Yugan Ask

petrichor sillage
lustmord miasma iron cloy
a clot of steel to sever
scarlet necklace gargle silence
cell phone text ‘she is gone, hurry’
metal carriage in driveway
front door opens, beloved eyes close
cafuné at the burial site
saudade lace iktsuarpok
without you — hiraeth
shower of concrete
sixteen feet deep will silence you
now your screams are —
bubbles with pleas
well, when you run out of air
be awhile with the tunnel snake vomiting
water is slow trickle
drown in my misery
laying beside the maggot who broke us apart
golden silence
we make eye contact
I almost save you but on the way…
komorebi ray on the faucet
both our eyebrows raised
full crank
this was
all on camera
question is your honor
wouldn’t you do the same—?

the lord wanted it done
I did what God wanted me to do
the footage shows that as truth
so your honor
are we through here—?
free to go?

court finds the defendant—

These Fleeting Gardens

Amidst the hushed whispers of a fading day
I wander, lost, through paths rosy poised thorns
Seeking solace in the floras sweet newly buds
Rose petals scattered, viscera of spite
Petals that once adorned the beauty's scorn
Now wither, like the nigh memories we cling
To the fleeting moments of sugar cloy
In darkness, chanting mantra whispers low
Ennui’s eternal flame, that burns dire
A symbol of peace, in the heart's darkest night
A secret garden, where seeds take root in fire

IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY

Let your remaining joy locate you now without any further delay,
Even if more success and more prosperity have to join in a fast relay,
The goal is that all the best things of life should find a way to where your head every night lays,
God is in firm control of your life so 'nough of any trouble placed in your life to waylay.

The mirrors are blessed with a peep in of the elegance of your good looks,
Your infectious smile is comely like food cooked by a good cook,
Your intelligence is ever pleasing as if it was learned from a best-selling book,
Your wisdom brings joy like when a fisherman caught a big fish by his fish hook.

Good fortune seems to know the best way to your home,
But it has never come without showering you with blessings of its own,
You have given success so much joy that you have stopped it from all its aimless roams,
No wonder, your greatness is the pain that causes your enemies a deep moan.

Let then this your birthday bring you more joy,
May it fortify you more to overcome your enemies' evil ploys,
As babies take delight in playing with their toys,
May you also have a lot of pleasure in savouring successes that never cloy.

Break

works gore ate my face
benthic void with water devoid
clear as yesterday
petal wilts rose cloy
visage made a mockery
nocturne flicker shines
grin was a jester miles wide
silver on marble
fenestra waves smoky clouds
no one hears a thing
spin art next to me
gray half and half white
thin diagonal black line
three orb dots align
large pyre ball on top
grassy field green the middle
bottom azure speck
two gold trim darkness
Lewis got the eyes perfect
they stare at me now

Mirth and Grace

“Caress the broken heart with threads of muted sound”,
Let it rejoice for the tranquil it has found,
Take the wheels of its night sojourn,
Bring it to the daylight region.

Sing to the broken heart a symphony of hope,
Lift it from the downward slope,
Massage its wounds with a healing balm,
Still the tempest and bring it to calm.

Bind the broken heart with cords of joy,
None of these will any time cloy,
Let it rise from the gloom,
And come to a bloom room.

Broken hearts don't see the light,
It’s hedged from their sight,
They yearn for a soothing embrace,
From hearts pervaded with mirth and grace.

The sun is alive, and all creatures are awake.
Even the green leaves seem to be breathing.
And the air is crisp, cool, and pure for our sake.
Little black and gray birds sit on the bushes, chirping.

Their melodies cloy the morning air and sway.
As if to say, "Wake up, embrace the day!"
The squirrels are ambivalent, demanding nuts.
Their playful antics bestow smiles our way with no cuts

The earth straight off is alive and restored.
With the vibrancy of life pulsating through its core.
And out of respect for this day,
I will not turn on the TV or listen to what they say.

To the horrors that man has brought upon himself.
For today, I need what the earth has on the shelf.
A golden yellow morning, with dwarf leaves quivering,
As fresh air wafts through the house, my soul is glittering.

To be present at this moment,
To let climb of worries and atonements
To feel the warmth of the sun on my skin,
And let it cram me with pure joy within.

Should I Have

Should have I done it
Should have I not
That is the question
In my brain it rots

I like to spoil
But yet not you
I wrinkle my nose
And away I peruse

I can see through you
No matter how thick the wall is
But yet people cannot
Seem to figure it out yet

Like a sharp knife
The edges are stiff
And yet it spins so swift
Like an athlete in a race
Where the end is near
But yet so far away

Your beauty may fool
The eyes of the beholder
But yet those petals change to black
And falls in bunches
That cloy the tongue
Of the ones that touch them

It hung in the air, the word;
the question finally asked.

Knew full well that you had heard,
your face impassively masked,
save for that slight hint of grin.

A stretch of silent years borne;
poor excuses wearing thin,
as are the promises sworn.

Thick silence pervades the room;
enveloped in cloy embrace
of stale scent, a strange perfume.

So, you stare, with frozen face.

Much Sugar Less Joy

Am i speaking with a girl coy
And not sensible Billy Roy
Just cramming much sugar in soy?

Up appetite sucrose could cloy,
Sweetened meals hearts hardly buoy,
Much sugar and less joy,
Yes, time bomb treating as toy;
Not better than Rum for Ahoy!

I could swear a food demon's ploy
To their finishing hands employ

"Now Diabetes here we come:
Billy Roy and I show the sum"

Sixty Years Wed

Sixty years since the magnificent day
In many precious moments along the way
Xanadu in impeccable joy
That no one in the world could ever cloy
You were joined in married bliss to enjoy.

You are together where you both belong
Every day it’s clear your love remains strong
And both hearts sing a song of faithfulness
Rendition of love’s soulmate tenderness
Sung softly all your lives in gentleness.

Wishing you peace, glee and love for all times
Extremely harmonious rhythm and rhymes
Dance forever together sweet Valentines.

found him in mine thoughts
cherishing my drought
thirsty was my heart
pleasured was those parts
enhanced over joyed
gatherings discredited
hated and abated
misconstrued unseen unviewed
callus love unfound deluded
embraced unalloyed
enhanced with invisible cloy
Love of lavender
thirsty was my heart
pleasured was those parts
she found him
she saw him
she found him
and they both were lost
