I.
One cloudless day, without spring shower
or monsoon, angels made their stand;
and conjured otherworldly power,
one cloudless day, without spring shower.
When God chose me that fateful hour,
as I held lightning in my hand,
that cloudless day without spring shower,
I was marked for evil to devour.
II.
Though crucified, reviled by hate,
I dwelt in my ivory tower;
inspired by love, what I create,
though crucified, reviled by hate.
My sweet songs showed how God was great;
fertilized by life's manure, my flower
bled, crucified, reviled by hate,
by evil men, the world, and fate.

Through cloudless weeps, my pen glides.
Trace severe, dense whispers of afire minds.
Under the brisk beams of the Autumn sun.
Anguish is my tapestry, where sobs flow a ton.
Upon a cheek where tears have already stained,
I paint a portrait of sorrow, in shades of disdain.
The sallow skin, marked by the weight of despair,
Reflects the anguish of a soul left threadbare.
Through cloudless tears, my pen bear flight.
To bewilder the core of souls, ailed and contrite.
I investigate experiencing anguish and strife.
Bestow light to the stories of a broken life.
Weeping clouds amass, ready to wash away
The burning tears, the wounds that never sway.
Their sacred endeavor, to cleanse and heal,
To suggest solace and an opportunity to feel.
Through cloudless tears, my pen flies around.
The intention of referring to the night wound.
So that the oppressed and laconic can speak,
That society's covert truths be made public.

I had a chocolate soldier
He had a chocolate heart;
He had a chocolate lady fair,
They never were apart.
They marched out in the morning
As daytime had begun
And there, beneath a cloudless sky,
They melted in the sun.

this cloudless sky
is filling up
on my endless regrets
as the rain trickles

Light so clear
my eyes must close part way.
I heard, “Let there be light.” and I saw.
My eyes fill with sweet tears, as joy fell this morning;
after a shadowy night of charades, understanding flashed.
There are times when we must apologize for those things that we have NOT done.

Cloudless Skies
By Kevin Robey
March 23, 2014
I've tried to live life the way they want me to
But I was falling behind, I was losing my mind
I've tried to show you the way I really am
But I'm so far out of line, now I'm just flying blind
I've tried to grab those sweaters by the thread
But I was losing my grip, I just fell off the edge
I've tried to hide all the blood I ever shed
But they stitched up my wounds, told me I should be dead
Is this the life I've been fighting for?
It doesn't seem that beautiful to me
Am I wrong to ask for something more?
Still chasing shreds of my sanity
I made a promise back when I was young
But I forgot who I was, I abandoned my way
I made a promise back when I was strong
But it wasn't enough, my foundation decayed
I made some plans that I just gave away
But I thought I would die before I woke up today
I made some plans that never stood a chance
But I had brighter eyes, bluer than cloudless skies
Where is the life I've been searching for?
All the things I ever thought it could be
Is there still time to find something more?
With open doors I'm still searching for a key

If always cloudless was the sky, would you appreciate it?
If never stopped the sun to shine,
would you take it for granted?
Another day, a few more grey hair, a few more paper cuts.
A few more blisters, another bruise,
a heart ache that never stops!
A few more times, swallowed our pride, another ego’s nosedive.
There’s gonna be no better time,
The lesson is meant to be learnt!

Wind swept rocks on a dusty plain
Rivers of blood spilt in vain
Oceans of mist cloud the eye
Cring tears but none know why
Shattered glass cutting the flesh
Sores and wounds add to the test
Darkened moon wont show the way
The sun too has faded away
Memories sung in a voiceless tune
Lost forever in the heat of June
Wind swept hills scratch the sky
A cloudless haze passes them by
Not a tear has came this day
Even birds fly going far away
Look for blood covering the ground
For the clouds are not to be found
Gone they are and gone they will stay
Pray ye therefore they may come thy way

In the cloudless night sky
Each star clear
In the heavens
Sparkling like sequins
On a ball gown
Are you there?
In heavens firmament
Are you the bright star?
The one more beautiful
Than its neighbour
A thing of beauty
As you once were
At my side

Cloudless skies are the best
You see all pale blue
I see tinges of that pale blue in your eyes
I am forever mesmerized
The calm of day
Awakens me and soothes me into your lullaby
Rock me by putting your strong arms over mine
Love me by whispering you are forever mine
Cloudless skies I do say are always needed
When the blue and just the yellow rays light up your face

Cloudless
by André Steinbach
Over the desert,
lingers cloudless
an empty sky,
purposeful,
scorching,
withers the sun the sands.
Unreal the colours,
from blue to cream,
where shadows play
and sun-rays
paint their solid pictures.
I am crossing the dunes,
breathless,
like a last traveler,
with an uncertain future,
fearless
and without haste.
At the horizon
a fata morgana,
a dark hull,
white flying sails,
spread into endless sands,
melting away
in a vibrating heat.
A permanent up and down,
ridges,
blown away with the breeze,
valleys of dunes,
portrayed by the winds,
firm views,
far up to the horizon.
Like dreams of fire and sand,
petrified in the evening light,
red-hot.
And only the wind scatters
the muffled sound
of my steps.
