Premium Member Forests At Nighfall

Forests at nightfall are scary to see;
not just dark forms- but loud sounds flowing free.
Far from at home, with cute puppy's bow-wow;
or from your kitten's sweet, gentle meow.

Skunks and opossums resound with a screech;
harsh sounds for us- but for them, secret speech.
Night owls all hoot, while young fox kits will yelp;
grasshoppers chirp as plump frogs croak to help.

Nightfall brings on the long nocturnal hunt;
bobcats join in with their loud hungry grunt.
Wolves and coyotes- as foxes all howl;
big bears roam free with a loud husky growl.

Not just dark forms- but loud sounds flowing free;
forests at nightfall are scary to see!
Best viewed on film- for you never will flip
creatures that find you before you can zip!

Premium Member He Knew Her So Well

You can make upside down cake with peaches! Wow!
I love the idea, said my snippy curt neighbor, Mrs. McDow.
That woman never has an original thought said my chow.
Sammy is not a normal dog, he does not do bow wow.
His wisdom is astonishing, his intelligence high-brow.
I was amazed that he knew so well old Mrs. McDow

Premium Member the next time she comes to the door

When I saw her face I thought she would whine
But she did not grouse a bit this time
This was one of her tattling-feasts.
This annoyed me beyond Golem’s beasts.

I detest tattling more than gossip I know now.
Her attitude is dour, her face a big bow-wow.
The next time she comes to my door, I will not be home.
I will be drinking my tea, under the window, writing a poem

let's rhyme

Moon is my soul
Sun is my brain
That's why whenever I cry my energy drains
When I smile it rains
And all my makeup goes in vain
I love the sound of train
My mom loves  to bargain
And look on the Terrace cute little sparrows eating grain
The neighbours nearby looking at me again
Watching them I make the sound of dog
Bow wow and they get entertain

Premium Member And How

“Oh boy!
See that girl!
Gee…she’s cute.”

“I like his look!
Will he look
this way?”

The half of love
will ink a card,
on that red date.

A pair of lips
slip onto
a pair of lips.
The kiss, so nice!

The knee
will bow wow wow,
ask to take his ring -
she says, “And how!”

Kids in tow,
will not slow
his or her beat.
Ann is wild
like her dad.
Bob has her blue eyes.

Zero in the nest -
sad but true.
Still,
love is.

Old age,
the hand of time -
the sky is too high.
The girl does cry,
or the boy,
when left sans
a warm hand.

Or to die is kind -
both fly
at the same time.

Premium Member The Cubs Are Winning Games

Chicago now has cause to cheer
  The Cubs are winning games this year

     I've checked things out and found
     when the moon is up, the sun is down

     Large gray clouds do contain
     snow, if cold; if warm, rain

     Birds keep chirping, cats still meow
     Cows graze and moo, dogs bark - bow-wow

  Who understands God's mysterious ways
  The Cubs are winning ~ we cheer, amazed

Premium Member The Help Monger

The help monger was trying to spoon out the candied hearts.
They were being obstinate, stubborn, off the charts.
A cupid came along to see if he could help in any way.
They finally got them all collected at the end of the day.

We will put them on beds, pillows, candies and cakes.
We will fill up the vibrating recliner until she shakes
cupid began to back off, she was afraid of the help monger now.
His ideas of grandeur were worse than a pup stuck on bow wow!

"I love my pets, they warm my heart!" - by poet

My black cat is surely the best there is
          she cuddles up to me
      at attention she is a wiz
                    brings awesome glee

My colorful birds go chirp all day long
          they bring a smile to me
        I love their happy merry song
                    soothing to be

I miss my nice dog who played the guitar
          he is in heaven now
      what a little shining bright star
                    oh the bow wow

Premium Member Raining Dogs On Halloween

It is practically raining costumed dogs tonight.
Said a prissy black cat in the October moon light.
What are you saying? What do you mean?
I was surprised to hear this on Halloween.

Cats are the familiars whom we usually see.
Trampling through forest with witches, wee.
But tonight, it is dogs, the onlooker said.
They are raining down on rooftops, over my head!

There is a convict a ghost, a princess too.
There are dogs over there, and under me too.
One is dressed as a dragon, chasing me now.
In the fog I heard her running behind a bow-wow.
