Big Step

Looking back on how far I’ve come,
God’s kept his promise and word.
Overwhelmed with joy and gratitude,
Experiencing the opposite of expectations.

His faithfulness and goodness is unmatched,
I’m so confused had to do a head scratch.
Falling on my knees prayer form,
Giving you honor and praise is my norm.

I’ve been desiring this for the longest,
Now it’s happening with little stress.
Like, how are you this good to me?
Blessing me in ways that I can’t believe.

Overwhelming satisfaction fills my soul,
Your spirit keeps me intact and whole.
Urging me to remain on this path,
Progressing and excelling task by task.

As the moment arrives ever closer,
The weight is rising on my shoulders.
I know I’m prepared for this occasion,
Leaving children is not his reputation.

Premium Member When the prince stood naked before his new bride

When the prince first stood naked before his new bride,
his disappointed was a little hard to hide.
Had he given all those red rubies
just to get these tiny little boobies?
Squire! Get the horses ready! We're going for a ride!"

When the princess first saw the prince's little wiener,
her pretty face betrayed an instant change in her demeanor.
She thought with a frown,
“This is a big step down.
I saw much bigger dicks when I was a teener.”

                                     Welcome to the new year
                                         goodbye to the old
                                          Take that big step
                                       achieve your dreams
                                    throughout the coming year
                                Thunderstorms will always come
                                      but it don't last forever
                                        Tapestry of reflection
                                 The winter season is crouching
                                             dark and cold
A touch of sunlight will set pearls

A New Chapter

moving to secondary feels so strange
Teachers tell us to write page after page
I don’t know the teachers or the school
I don’t know my lessons every rule

Test then homework then test
Teachers yelled but we doing our best
A whirl pool of stress notted inside us
We go home parents ask what’s wrong
We reply as nothing much

It’s a big step you know
We need to learn step up say no
You need friends to support you
Friends feelings too

Everything is getting better
The knot inside me starting to ease
I’ve got friends that support me
I can laugh with my class without being alone

I like the giant step I’ve made
In front of me opportunities are laid
The post the new friends and learning goals
Most has changed but I like it

Immigrants

When you came from across the sea
What were your dreams of a new life to be
Leaving home was such a big step
Hopeful of better things without regret

Was your home torn apart by war
With dictators and war crimes in store
And bombs that rained down on you
Destroying lives and loves too

You left family behind not to be seen again
Thousands of miles away without a friend
Were their tears shed in loneliness
And making do for the best

Did you put down new roots in a new land
To raise your family and make new plans
You came to terms between this land and you
Now part of the country your whole life through.

Joy Hope Kindness

Joy, it is more then just a mere three letter word, it is an emotion well sought
when we feel the exultation of a life that has been lived with journey fought
we hold in the fondness, the warm adulation that settles in our heart's cot
we are happiness, marvels of exuberance, when joyful emotions are caught

Hope, the dignitary of longing and pipedreams, God will shine it on your face
and as you trust the path that guides you, take a big step towards His Grace
Transcend your doubts and choose to believe, for Hope is a sacred place
visit it often, encase it safely in your heart, it is as fragile as summer lace

Kindness is one terrific step dancer, it loves to partner up with joy an hope
it is ambidextrous, can save many lives and, can help you climb the slope
tender with affection for mankind, it is always present and never elopes
full of goodwill and concern, it owns only the best intentions and scope

Joy, Hope, Kindness, three virtues we can ill afford to live without my friend,
may they always live inside you, guiding you and helping you until the end.

Taking Next Step Up Rather Not 2 Far

I for 1

Am all for taking

The next big step up

So long as that next step

Doesn't require anyone

Stepping on or over

Those who 1st helped them take
baby steps

That lead you to the bottom step and
in doing so inspired your desire to climb
at all

Like when after winning a major
tournament achieving said sought
success

The second after you sack that very
coach that got you and set you on
your winning way and path

Then stepping on or over there dreams
is a price worth willing to pay

Rather not a step to far

Because to me that would be a
crushing blow

And the greatest loss or all

Because any victory devoid without
one's friends to compliment and
celebrate with

Is as hollow and as empty as
the heart that is willing to cast's aside

Those who should mean the most

Simply in order to get what they want

Don'T Plan It

every Sunday
at seven
not nine
or eight
pm

childhood
memories
Walt Disney
right after
Wild

Kingdom but
for kingdom
come in the
universe
they

kicked out
Pluto

no longer to be
a star all be it
he was a planet
but now not
even that

so let me
one big step
for mankind
on what's left
just sketches

siriusly
planting
a freedom
flag on the
planet of Goofy

Premium Member Dreaming of Dinosaurs

Mummy took us to the zoo
she hoped it wouldn’t bore us
In truth I think that mummy knew
we’d see a Brontosaurus

I stroked a small Triceratops
it had a tiny pink horn
I fed him all my chocolate drops
the keeper eyed me with scorn

I kissed a Tyrannosaurus Rex
When I climbed a big step ladder
Mom did all the safety checks
else the keeper would get madder

We were chased by a big Diplodocus
I could hear him snapping his jaws
Then he turned and he winked at us
and began to lick his huge paws

One dinosaur wore dark glasses
and tried so hard to ignore us
His breed no other surpasses
it’s a Doyouthinkhesawrus!

Time Is Running Out

Time is running out.

I walk on egg shells, I got no carriage,
And I wait to see if you are Spanish,
Or Norwegian, or maybe,
You come from Japan; I await to see.

If that is the case and my future is in my hands,
I will love always and I will give you my thanks,
Because if destiny exists, there is a Princess
And true love, truly is, priceless.

I have tried my best; it’s time to confess,
That these are my words, my words for her
And love is my passion, with no guaranteed satisfaction,
But if I had things all my own way,
Baggy jeans would be back in fashion.

I would like to raise a nation of my own seedlings,
To become great thinkers, unlike me,
And they would always speak their minds freely,
And read other people’s poetry, from time to time;
I hope they read mine, I hope you like mine.

So if you are there, but I can’t see,
Then you need to take a big step forward,
Before I lose what makes me happy;
Before I leave you and everything else behind…
It’s getting harder and harder to rise from the blue…
I think it’s time to say goodbye.

A Birthday To Be

A Birthday to be
April been good to me.
I do not celebrate it much
But you still satisfied me
41 was a big step now soon to be 42.
My soon to be 18 year old son is still my best birthday present so dear to me.
You been with me through all my ups and downs
Even when my parents separate you never give up on me.
You Are a celebration of month of love and more.
I am happy I was born of a month perfect to me.
All month are special in they own way.
But I am glad you are my month were love is wild, and Easter spring blossom untwine.

Beyond a Broken Heart

Is there a key to unlock your heart to love?
what binds that emotion not to open that door
do the rapids of fear rush before that decision steps in
has trust wrapped those chains that bind you

Has pain dismantled your choice to desire love
does it make you not want to cross the bridge of uncertainty
Are the curtains drawn to retain the darkness of comfort
will you cover the wound so that you may heal

either way, hurt has pain and pain does hurt
one can lose the will to ax the loss and regenerate
It’s a big step to step out again and feel a sense of certainity
but there is another day for you…. beyond a broken heart

regrouping
i take a deep breath
like nothing else matters
owning the moment

basking in its magnificence
relishing in the focus
the intensity of being present
the pulsating rhythm of consciousness
and synchronized openness

making peace with time
letting go of the past
of what’s ahead of what’s next
experiencing life in segments

having sublimely discovered
the secret to stretching time
measuring life in instants
and gaining a feeling of…

if not control at least harmony
as it becomes a way of life
showing me what’s most rewarding

Dear Daddy,
While you were away
I learned how to coo and to crawl.
I learned how to walk and tell time.
Don't know if it's true what they say
that time grows wings and then flies far away.

Daddy, you're one step behind
one big step behind...

Daddy, while you were away
I learned how to ride- learned how to climb,
I understand you were busy
making gold out of callous and time.
But Daddy, you're one step behind
Daddy, you're one big step behind...

Daddy, don't know if you knew this
because you jumped from our sinking ship.
I earned my degree working odd shifts
and going to night school,

Oh, by the way I met the love of my life
gave her a ring made from respect, love, and time.
Daddy, you're one step behind
Daddy, you're one big step behind...

Every man learns that time does truly fly.
Heard through the grapevine you decided to die.
Too many years have passed; I wish I could cry.
Hope you made peace with your broken clock mind.

Funny, but it seems
I'm becoming a chip off the old block.
My, my, how our time truly flies.
Daddy, I'm one step behind
Daddy, I'm one big step behind.
