Best Stretchy Poems
In a moment of juvenile jealousy
he envies his red rival
with its intimate and greedy embrace of her angels’ share
of honey and vanilla spice
as wet stretchy hands of fervent fabric
possessively cup
her brandied beauty
amidst wistful notions
to revive his parched heart
he craves to be ladled with her ardent spirits
to be cradled in the tulip of her essence -
evaporating every chill from the calyx of her sweetened cordial
warming her in the hearth of his hands
as she melts
like buttery sunbeams
intoxicating the bleached beachy sands..
his dreamy grin falters and his tantric trance fades
as tattered edges of reverie unravel -
a haze beclouds his aged green-eyed gaze
graying his white periwinkle pipe dream
as he sees that his best days are long past

Tumble, crumble cornmeal, salted flour
Stream olive oil
Feed water and toasty yeast with sugar
Crinkle, rumple, crease, and fold
Smooth a silky, doughy globe.
Cover, leave the orb to grow
Keep baby warm
Wrap with snug and swaddling towel
Linger, loiter, wait and proof
Sing a sunny, happy tune.
Overturn the ball on flour
Dust a wooden pin
Feed heart and conscience with honey
Rotate, flatten, compress, admire
Make a downy, level sphere.
Bridge the stretchy bread to pan
Curl edges like leaves
Swirl and ladle a coat of tomato
Thick, chunky, bright, and red
Sway to kitchen melody.
Peppers, onions, olives, chokes
Sausage for some
Rain down the mozzarella and Swiss
Turn and toss, precipitate
Drizzle a snowy blend.
Push the pie into a hot cathedral
Pray for happiness
Think about joy and contentment
Pause, watch, patience, serenity
This journey bakes the future.

My sweet baby girl is
half-awake, half-asleep.
And her toffee yawns are
stretchy as caramel.
Her cotton candy cheeks
are like pink marshmallows.
And dark chocolate curls;
adorn my baby's head.
She sports blueberry eyes
and soft licorice lips.
And her creamy face boasts
a million-dollar smile.
A confectionery
treat, she is delicious.
And gives sugared kisses;
that taste; ever so sweet.

Behold the neck of a giraffe
Long enough to make you laugh
Can stretch over the fence in zoo
To find munchy leaves to chew
Of it's length I'm not even half!

#68. MOON WINK
I took a trip for fun,
between the Earth and Sun,
slid quietly between,
the star sun's scarlet sheen,
from its radiant show,
and in it's earthly glow.
I cast misty shadows,
on planet's green meadows,
and people took up hands,
like stretchy rubber bands,
to greet me with great joy,
like a new kite or toy.
Metallic ships went by,
with sunbursts on the fly,
between planet and star,
I'm incredibly far,
I’m always just right here,
with the sun over there.
Your sable shades cloaked earthly eyes,
I heard the awe of your surprise,
I felt a popularity,
of power all had come to see,
I'd be like the great Houdini,
hide the sun and make it teeny.
I blocked the amber sun from view,
and cast dark shadows over you,
a coyote barked a gentle cough,
and Venus slid her blanket off,
the crickets sang, but not for long,
the Sun insisted, I was wrong.
Then out it came with dazzled light,
a Sun cracked smile of spewing fright,
a cheshire grin of searing heat,
red with anger and blind conceit,
he hid from me all Earth's creatures,
with fuzzy dim, blue-green features.
Then, I saw you'd all gone,
with the Sun turned back on,
you loud creatures all clapped,
with my next route well mapped,
for the light had returned,
and my dark magic spurned,
as the lesser soft light,
when you seek me at night.
Then you said you were done,
with your star studded fun,
with cameras and scopes,
and space colored hopes,
a quick jump to that car,
you lost me and the star.
On a soft summer night,
with gold glints of starlight,
look me full in the face,
as I beam from my place,
then, wave long as you think,
what I hid in a wink.

Personification
Sublimity ...
Bandit of my breath
Summer blond tresses, pure
Splashed with amber bands, aglow
Slowly twisting down to soft, stretchy curls
Bouncing on your shoulders with heavenly mirth
Like a child bouncing her bed Christmas morn
Exquisite texture, as combed Turkish velour
Meant for the delve of only tender hands
Loving fingers that honor privilege
Every touch savored, adored
Each strand a rarity
A golden thread
Ephemeral.

I'm a balanced individual
I have a chip on both my shoulders,
And they are getting bigger
As each year I grow older.
I seem to begrudge the young their youth
It's just plain jealousy,
I envy all their years ahead,
So many more than me.
I hate it that my back aches
And that my knees are sore,
And how careful that I need to be
To pick something from the floor.
There are hairs growing in my ears,
Why on earth is that,
I can't bothered trimming them
I just wear a stretchy hat.
Is the reaper coming,
Will I get the nod,
I realise now what I've become,
I'm an old and grumpy sod !

When I have finished with this body
And hopefully ascend the heavenly stair,
I'm going to go into Heaven's workshop
And have a word with the management there.
I've not been too happy with their merchandise.
I feel I didn't receive of their best.
Perhaps I got one of the rejects.
Well it wasn't as good as some of the rest!
Oh the model was alright to begin with,
Then little flaws began to show.
Perhaps it was assembled by a -non peace- worker.
Or maybe an illegal immigrant from-down below-.
However it 's been of very poor quality.
It's needed alot of repair.
Another thing it creases too easily
It's got wrinkles everywhere.
Also the materials too stretchy,
It goes baggy after alot of use.
Needs to stand up better to stress and strain
Can't seem to take alot of abuse.
And if it gets a hole in it
It really is a pain!!
Oh you can repair it, stitch it up
But it's never quite the same again.
I also want to discuss style.
Sorry, I feel the design isn't up to scratch.
I want to know for example,
Why tops and bottoms just don't match?
I've noticed on quite a few models
Proportions all up the wall,
Overdone at the top, hips flared too much.
And I don't go for the pear shape at all!!!
Also I wanted to always look good in it,
Perhaps that's rather vain.
Well at least be comfortable with it
And not have cause to complain.
Some say I might get a replacement.
If I do one things for sure,
I'll check it out thoroughly next time
Before it leaves the production floor.

Light Verse
Since the Garden of Eden and Cleopatra,
snakes strike great fear in man
I have it—ophidiophobia---
legless lizards equal repulsion
Slithering, sliding as they move
something about friction and scales
like goose bumps on human flesh
more than I want to know
Little known fact learned
three hundred vertebrae, one reptile
they can scrunch up like an accordion
Slinky has nothing on the snake
Zoology teacher forced me to touch
disgusting...scaly info to psyche
rubbery, stretchy outside insides
that red-eyed yellow python plagued my sleep
Here’s the point—abnormal fear or not
God created the reptile
rattlesnake eats rats, field mice
homes under rocks in deserts, mountains
concealed, fearing human contact
Travel to Georgia or Oklahoma…
Rattlesnake Roundups held
oh yes, let’s kill some rattlers
buy a permit, slaughter as many…
Find their hiding, jerk them up
drop them in a sack writhing with twelve more
rattler chasers claim fun to kill
find the longest, fattest
Kill by decapitation
drop in the freezer alive
look later…freeze dried snake
eat a snake steak…tastes like chicken
Why search them out
leave them alone
No rattlesnake boots, head bands...
Yes, stand up for the reptiles!

Humanity is desperate for a taker
The archaic foundation is shaken and
Bitter worms are writhing from among the cracks
like a slow nightmare to overtake
mom's apple pie
Nature responding reaches its arms
to its Maker
With a plea traveling on stale wind
come back in this dark hour and see
the need for food and water
a reliable electrical source
Arms wrapped in tragedy see no color
Help is a word uttered only by the needy
Breathing a resuscitating breath that empowers the greedy
Opportunity its glass to the door
Enters with the ring of a bell
The lie approaching full term
has a nation on bed rest
while little green men stand ready to wet nurse
this idea with dissenter blood
This Vamp
This beast has the most intriguing
and beguiling of names
With trumpets and fanfare
This babe arises
NEW HOPE!
And with her the ages change
She plucks out your heart and leaves your eyes in
so you can watch her
She loves an audience and like a lustful perpetrator
She presses her pointy finger to your lips and says
Shhhh.... Don't you speak
If you move you die
When she is done she bandages your wounds
and goes on about how lucky you are
You've always been smarter than me John
There are your degrees
Your craft to make stretchy taffy of the truth
and set criminals free
BUT LOOK AT HER!
Naked post mortem pale
Piss drenched rats scurrying about her
Gnawing nudging prying her lips apart
Leaving a crap trail as they squeeze down her throat to
Feast on her heart(What a heart, the best there ever was)
So they can find their way out after they've gorged themselves on blood
You used to love her John.
She's a whore.
She's somebody's daughter, a mother to many.
For God's sake cover her body
Men in lab coats with a wave of inconvenience are summoned in
Their necks ebb and flow with inconspicuous snickering
Then everything stops suddenly
a pupil dilated hush covers the room
the silence surrendering to drops of drool wakening the frigid
Coroner's floor
You know who........ YOU KNOW WHO THIS IS!
Quick, get out your phones
Let's take a group selfie
You know who this is..... Don't you?
Her name starts with an A!

'Everything Aches'
Oh my arms do ache as I write down this prose
Most days it feels like the pain goes all the way to my toes
Bring me back lazy days lying in the sun
Or the age when being flexible meant so much more fun
Living with aches and strains and all things stretchy
Remembering a day without pain seems so sketchy
From my head, to my ankles, hips and back in between
They say it would help if I could be more 'lean'
But extra movement above the essentials feels unfair
It even kills me each morning just to blow dry my hair
So please understand how hard it can be every day
When all I want to do is stay in my bed and lay
I know you may find it hard to understand
That even the slightest pain in the knuckles, the hand
Can be overbearing, and so unforgiving
But still have to work, still make a living
If only you knew how hard most days it becomes
Just to text and email, how much it strains ones thumbs
Childbirth may have been so much faster and slicker
But ageing of the pelvis and hips comes much quicker
My pelvic floor and backside have certainly seen better days
My moaning and groaning you must hope is a faze
Shoulders forever, feeling so strained
My legs constantly looking blue veined
Cramps in my arches, IBS in my tummy
Hereditary illness, blame my flexible mummy
Bunions will scream, Bulging discs take my power
It even pains me just to stand in the shower
Tired and sleepy I need to relax
Even those days that I rest to the max
So just bring me your patience, comfort, understanding
Even when you hear my joints creak more than the landing
You know it's me, 'crackling' just walking downstairs
The lack of sleep again bringing nightmares
Thank you for listening, for just being here
Not having you close to comfort is my biggest fear
I know I go on, my frustration and tears
Must be hard work for so many years
But knowing you're here to carry the weight of my head
Even on the days it feels heavier than lead
Gives me the strength to be strong, keep me moving
Your love and support it just keeps on proving
Thank you again for holding my hand and week wrist
Even though my pain must never seem to cease to persist

Don't clog,read this blog
Careful with the pipes
Don't stop up the toilets,
Cause aint no plumber coming'',
That bad tooth, that hurts to the root,
News flash, ‘ain't no dentist open'.
Separate your garbage,
Garbage man aint doing extra,
No has mask suits or gas mask,
They aint up for the task.!.
Pray on the internet, cause your church is closed.
If the catch you gathering your church will be exposed.
You need to activate your MacGyver, mode.
Eat food that is expired,
pull out your tooth with the pliers,
cut up a sheet and make diapers,
Make hand sanitizer, and wipes;
clean off your cards after you swipe.
Use coffee filters and cotton,
add stretchy cord and cover.
Stand 6 feet away from your brother,
sister, and Mother, an any others.
Grow food in plastic bottles.
Again, I say, you must
learn to maneuver like MacGYVER;
O’ and don’t throw nothing away,
you may need it on the ''May-Day,''
If, when ‘’Rona‘’ Comes your way.
Don't clog, read this blog…
Careful with the pipes
Don't stop up the toilets,
Cause aint no plumber coming',
aint nobody Comin’,
Everyone is running.!
Cause they don’t want Carona.!
Ambulance aint comin’…
‘’Boys in blue aint coming.’’
Everyone is running,
thinking you may have the virus.
Better take the
Herbs, and bush and vitamins.
Better get innovative.
Like the farmer said to the potato
I will plant you now, and dig you later.
So, y'all better maneuver like
MACGYVER, Soul inspiring.
MAKE AWAY OUT OF NO WAY
''Cause ain't nobody comin’.!

Iambic Pentameter
Garbled sounds of familiar yet compassionate love.
Surrounded by warmth and tender melodies as if warbled by a dove...
Soft beating sounds and liquids a flowing 'round and 'round,
Gentle movements, percussion's harmonizing soothing sound...
Breaking daylight unfamiliar sounds and brightness...
Sensations not felt before, warmth and cold with noises loud...
I scream... What is going on? Nothing is the same,
Awake, asleep, what is this a dream?
Never having felt a touch, never seeing light...
Stretch, kick wiggle and scream putting up a fight.
Soon wrapped up and snuggled close, familiar voice and sounds...
I'm settled down and warm as beating heart it pounds.
Soon I wake from deepest slumber,
Belly growling must be hunger.
Stretch and shout feeling pain,
Reaching screaming hoping gain.
Then soothing warmth and flesh a kneading...
Softest rhythm, two hearts beating.
Hunger pain has gone away,
Stretched out sleeping as I lay.
No worries, no pain all needs met.
Oh, but wait, what is that, wet?
Is it beneath me? That I bet!
Again, unfamiliar movement.
Feeling coldness strangely bent.
Soon by loving hands caressed,
Warm again awaiting rest.
Melodies so softly hummed,
Like a medicine I am numbed...
Off to sleep I fade...
Awake smiling, giggling too,
Looking up and cooing at you.
Everything so bright and new,
Wondering what next we'll do...
Much the same from day to day,
And surprises are on the way...
Rolling, tumbling and scooting with joy,
What is that bright and colorful toy?
Bells a jingling, blinking lights,
Stretchy bright and colorful tights!
Rocking, bouncing, sitting up,
Smiling waving, a sippy cup?
Soon I'm crawling full fun,
I'll skip the walking and start to run...
The time it flies so quickly now,
Days to weeks and then years somehow...
Daddy, Mommy, yes and no,
That’s a potty? I'm to go?
With my clothes myself I'll dress,
Shirt for pants, Oh what a mess...
But I can do it wait and see,
And when I do please jump with glee!
Run and jump and skip all day,
Talking and talking with nothing to say...
And then warn out asleep I fall,
With in my bed or in the hall...
Good Night All!

steals the breath between my inhale and exhale

two kites flirtin’ and floatin’ in a sea of clouds
tin foil tongues with spindrift speech
breathes sea songs upon the shore's breast
sea-fingers strum beach skin glistening
sea-drums thrum seashell ears listening

my pebbles from the shore
nothing long-lost leaves nothing longed for
I yearn for riptides to swallow my sorrow

swallow me in ragged state instead of smooth but
famished riptides can’t swallow my jagged stone whole

Off I flew, fist in the air
Leaving those villains unaware
Something was about to escape
From underneath my billowing cape
I have to hurry, up, up and away
I’ll return to fight another day
Gaining speed, higher heights
Thank goodness for those stretchy tights
Through the air I hurl my body
To home to go on my very own potty
Through the air I fly like a scoop
Yes, even Superman has to poop
