Premium Member Can'T Get High Enough

I started sucking my thumb until it looked like a plumb
Things didn't feel any better so I poured a glass of rum
Some will imagine I'm happy when they hear the tunes I hum
whisky me Dixie I am the crazy unbalanced one

Yes I hum like a drum and I pretend to be dumb
I prefer the shady ladies who stay out of the sun
You might want to hang out after all I can be fun
Others will try and warn you, you'd be better off to run

You think I'm simple dear Simon, my thoughts not so deep
I know it's easy to judge me by the company I keep
I'm hanging on by three threads, one step away from endless sleep
I can't get up high enough, the incline of my mind is too steep

I'm weathered and worn kinda broken and busted
Others thought they could help get my aptitude adjusted
Yet some things can't be fixed too many layers have rusted
Kind people have attempted to get me polished and dusted
Forget all that attention I just simply cussed it

I wander asphalt streets bopping to my lost boy beat
see the crooked dexterity of my wobbly bruised feet
Nothing satiates me what I hunger for I can't eat
the ghosts in my mind have occupied my seat
My demons are hidden beneath a white worn sheet!
Don't try and peek under, you won't like who you meet!

Arrives the spring
Anacreontic verse 3

Allure of raindrops
as drizzle knocks,
April arrives ...
Ecstatic Spring
ushers joy,
Buds bloom
petals unfold,
Vibrant colours
eyes behold,
Mustard in yellow
wheat gives gold,

Fragrant breeze
to lovers' delight,
Heavenly azure
and soaring flight,
Reigning blue
echoes into sea,

Festivals lure
delicacies to relish,
Step into May
with blushing
Red roses,
Luscious Mangoes
enticing delish,
Basking days
evenings coldish,
Verve satiates
soul's every wish!

Premium Member Sipping coffee

Written: December 31, 2023, For Unseeking Seeker Contest
                   _____________________________________

“God within me is the enjoyer of the aroma
As also this dopamine boosting flavour I taste
I surrender all pleasures to the dweller of my heart
Breath by breath thus that my soul presence be chaste”

I wrestle symbolically every day,
While whisking my whimsical mind
For palatable aroma of java-laced cream
Each tantalizing sip satiates soul scarcity,
I taste dopamine-inducing elixir
Idly percolating aromas amplify, blissfully
My psyche turns olfactory with each breath
Savoring pureness of quench coffee
True coffee lovers' sacred rite
Bred from mountain slope flora
Large, roasted grains
Combined with chives
Espresso of our selection
Invigorating the poetic muse.

A cloying symphony lingers
Caramel, chocolate, hints
Roasted beans croon a melody
Susurrous sumptuous surreptitious
startling soul's sempiternal shields
Java ushered to an ambrosian niche
Where time halts and fears sway
All worries dissolve
Java-infused serenade heals this soul.

Weary-treating opulent, black potion
Comforting and cheering
Sips reveal life's essence
A hint of sonata transcends clash
Every sip is a sensory delight
A fabulous favor, a flavor flipping
Utopian bitterness-sweetness mix
An inexhaustible smorgasbord style.

Aphonic aqua vitae aurifies my soul
Seeking solace in stories of slight delights
In this brew, I uncover truth
A breath of blissfulness brings youth
Let aroma spread as I sip and relish
Nurturing and boldening my soul
I am enamored with Java core virtues
An idyllic instant resolves everything
Breath to breathe, I'll purify my soul
Savor and sustain every drop
During my coffee ritual
Feel a link to a bit victual.

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Lovers Moon

When blue sky has drawn its veil
That's when passions will prevail
Within the dark of nights closed eyes
Entangled lovers sweat and writhe

A fervent lust. A human need.
A chance to plant the given seed
It starts with just a gentle touch
As light recedes the sky at dusk

Then when the moon and stars arise
A hand is moved from breast to thighs
The roundness of the orb at night
Calls for lovers to delight

Engage in love. Engage in sin
Engage in feelings from within
A chance to touch another soul
Is what brings humans to their whole

Feel the softness of the skin
Two lips pressed against the chin
A moan escapes. A breath is drawn
As nipple is encroached upon

Grasping flesh and tasting love
The constellations stir above
Unclothed bodies in the night
Begin to consummate their plight

A presentation then is made
And well accepted, unafraid
The movement satiates the lust
As joy is drawn from every thrust

Fingers grasp and arms embrace
Contortions dominate the face
Muscles spasm, spASM, SPASM
Oh the joy of such ******

Now there's nothing but a bright
Ever glowing, loving light
Embracing them within that glow
As lovers movements start to slow

Electric feelings then subside
Like ending to a coaster ride
And as the dawn begins to creep
It chases lovers to their sleep
Leaving them to relish in
The echoed sound of pleasures din

Premium Member Pitcher Perfect

The Lord poured me, a pitcher of time.
For my personal use, it was only mine.

A generous portion, it seemed I got.
I wasted so much, I poured out a lot.

Exchanged for things, not a bargain in the end.
I can't get time back, it's not something I lend.

My pitcher's half empty, thankfully not too late.
I finally come to learn, what really satiates.

Time spent with people, poured into their lives.
Nourishing their spirits, makes my soul thrive.

Flowers now bloom, as I walk on life's path.
People are my pleasure, I smile and I laugh.

Thankful for each drop, a gift from on high.
Connected to a source, that never runs dry.

My waters of time, are converted to wine.
I give it back to God, it is no longer mine.

When this life is over, I will leave this land.
Off to eternity, as God takes my hand.

Drakes response inspired the wine stanza.

Premium Member A Dance of Life

Written: September 13, 2023
______________________________________________________________

Two halves of a whole, we are,
Inseparable, intertwined,
Bound by the dance of life
In a symphony of hearts combined.

You're the rhythms that reverberate loudly
My heart beats akin to a drum in my chest
The exhibit of affection! Smile and look proudly
That ignites my compassion, never at rest.

I am the breath that satiates the air
Whispering promises of zeal and devotion,
Every inhale is a savor of your presence,
Exhaling gratitude for this appreciation.

Together, we micturate exquisite melodies,
Of pounding heartbeats and steady breaths.
A utopian resonance between our parodies,
A tune that whispers in the depths.

It is painful, this dance we share,
The ache of longing when you're not there,
But it is halcyon, the way our bodies move,
In utopian rhythm, in an unblemished groove.

It is madness, this love we embrace,
The fire that consumes us, leaves no trace.
But then that is life, it is our world,
A whirl of emotions, where passion unfurls.

Each heartbeat, each breath, a testament,
To the power of love, its eternal descent,
We are incomplete without each other,
Bound by a love that cannot smother.

Premium Member Goethe's Path: Forest a Choral Life

Along aisle of twigs, moist brown leaves and stones,

Clustered bellflowers guard as I ramble
Whispered chord echoes from choir of bushes groans,

The rustles, a beckoning preamble

Shady sky-high trees of wrinkled clothed moss

Healthily exhaling thy cool fresh air.
Tongue satiates divine wood spring, I doss.

Finch trembles chanting rosary keys pray'rs.

Built organs from pines tunes mellow reeds

Gentle soothing blows invites butterflies
There flights harmonious lambada speed

Squirrels one fugue pitch share a lullaby

Golden rays peeps through gnarled branches of trees,

Casting apes acrobatic seesaw dance.
Glorious forest homes choral life thee

Who will dare and miss such enthralling chance?

Premium Member It's Food That I Desire

IT'S FOOD THAT I DESIRE

My peckish belly crumbles thunder loud
As I smell yummy Beef Wellington
Oven-fresh serve in silver plate
In my hand a knife and fork
I slice the whole in halves
Scent satiates more
Tempting! Tickling
my white teeth
to bite.
BITE!
I
Slowly
Savor each
and every bite.
Juices spilling fast.
Homing my hungry mouth.
Silencing my mad stomach.
Done and full, I burp not just once.
"Gracias!" I said, appreciating the food.
Wanting to know and try it too someday...

Essence of You

essence pure of all you are
luminous as angel stars

clearly tracked your soul flight
vast pensive universe delights

soul fragrance unlocked, opened
this heart fast closed, broken

breathing you in draughts refreshing
love's rich, soft web enmeshing

two into one; sweet perfume
satiates sense in your soul room

Breathe

Breathe in the sound
Beautifully rhythmic
Music for my eyes
Gaze upon a joyous energy
Touching your spirit
The passion you hold
Satiates my hollow dwelling

Premium Member Down the Glen I Look By, Olive Eloisa Guillermo and James Fraser

From my window, down the Glen I look
Amidst forested slopes, a stretch of water lies
Seeing it once can leave the viewer hooked
I now know why it's hard to bid goodbye

Wandering far, limpid blue loch says hello
It's sublime beauty seizes my leisure walk
Alongside whisky coloured grass that grows
Teeming trees, as the scene greets me in flock

Candy fluffy clouds, glide above her waters blue
Caressing cliffs, shading all for free
Bluebells scents satiates my sense so true
It's crystalline fluid beckons me to spree

Whether one is local, or a holiday tourist
The loch freezes the eye so one can't resist

Premium Member Love Is More- Valentine Day Limerick

They say love comes in a gush
I don’t believe all that mush
Not just a feeling…
Love is believing
There’s more to it than a rush

Your loved one gives you goose bumps
You see curves instead of lumps
Your heart palpitates
And sex satiates
Your life is coming up trumps!

But Love’s a decision too
When feelings get old not new
You think of your vow
Fulfill it somehow
And resolve to stick like glue

So when there are angry darts
Or when there are broken hearts
You think of that glow
You give love a go
And all the sorrow departs

Today is Valentine’s Day
Tease and please…now don’t delay
Revive that hot spark
Make love in the dark
Love’s the sweetest game to play.

Premium Member Landscape of Spring

Let’s go frolic on the landscape of spring
And relish jubilant nature’s beauty
That satiates our glorious wondering.

Exuding brightness from its paths that bring
Showers of bliss in limitless bounty
Let’s go frolic on the landscape of spring.

Bellowing songs of insects and birds ring
Thanking God’s love and graces aplenty
While flower-trees raise their hands, adoring.

Dragonflies and bees swirl around like string
As we twirl, butterflies play…so pretty!
Let’s all frolic on the landscape of spring.

Floral vines boast on high walls, all flaring
And balmy breeze drops petals-confetti
Catch them under the sunray’s offering.

View from the hill the clear lake’s mirroring
The rainbow colors with large quantity
Let’s all frolic on the landscape of spring
That satiates our glorious wondering.

Insatiable

I implored myself with money and okay,
thought that feasting at the time was no crime,
and as the chyme soothingly rolled in my head's threads,
then in pretense covered that craving with a palm,
that craving very agile and corporeal.

upon my lulling, the asking defied;
i gave it money and honey,
filled up with joy and future employ;
i promised burgers served with kandara,
njugu karanga and bits of cars
yet the desire waxed insatiable!

i gave a good girl to woo,
it looked out the more.
and i got another maid of the style princely;
her bosom decorated with flatness and uniformity,
reaching up to the moonlight in height,
digging deep beneath the heels of fashion,
she walked gracefully like a drunken monk,
the music of buckles and golden rings begged much;
and that's what i added to this creature of ghostly beauty.

then this calling wants a third one!
it wandered to the ages of history
and excavated childhood dreams,
dripping with rottenness and obsession,
in the life of civilisation i was tormented,
degrees but tormenting,
good jobs but tormenting!
sooner i resolved to quench the question of "enough?"
and made myself a vocation
to drench the injustice of childhood poverty
with the justice of excellence.

a redeemer of sorts,
the light in the way of a night walker.
many looking from my reverse
see hope under my feet-stool.
i am become the man of going,
and going i do.
behind is troop of people unseen,
jerking forwards, themselves a foothold to obtain.
soon they'll play this game my style,
and it's a vast quiz.

tell me,
how vast is it?
the sea of desire,
all opportunities begging a piece?
shall i be satiated getting a graduate degree?
or a postgraduate?
first-class or distinction?
will adorable mistresses and pageants
announce your destination,
oh desire?

i sought, and i'm seeking,
behold nothing satiates.
it's insatiable this life.
