Premium Member Moonwalking Memoirs

I'm

the

white fog

layered on

gold-jasmine face of

the orange moon, shimmering with

shy starships and laced along hailstones of honesty;

When the sapphires of earth are etched with orchestral milky beams, smeared with ominous balms,

I want you to weave a cherry-crescent with periwinkle dreams and let aqua-pink amulets swing with gossamer threads of lotus-life,

which shall pull my sempiternal heartstrings, as frost of the last snow kisses the lunar orchards, twirling upon maroon ruins of moonwalking memories. I'll forever be that silver haze, lingering in your soul's seascapes.

Premium Member Memoirs of a Gay-Sha

When I was 10 my world was fun
Filled with friends and joy & laughter
I didn't know what was to come
Who I'd become thereafter

11 came and I changed schools
With all my friends and aspirations
Along came homework and more rules
A pretty rigid education

Walking down the corridor
My arms around 2 friends
They said "stop!" they'll think we're gay
And right away, my innocence ends

I knew that word could not be good
Not something I should be
So I agreed and shrugged it off
After all, what had that to do with me?

First they started on and off
And then became relentless
Shouting ***, fairy, queen and poof
I was just a kid, alone and defenceless

I felt humiliated, but you see
I thought, this can not last!?
And then my friends turned their backs on me
I felt my spirit shrinking fast

8 hours a day, 5 days a week
Was more thank I could take
For 7 years my prison grew
If I was going to survive, I had to escape!

The bullying got worse you see
I couldn't speak of this at home
My mind became a safe place to be
And I got "I'm not normal, I'm alone!"

When they laughed and passed pictures of me around the room
And the humiliation started
My face turned red, I felt despair and gloom
Then into my head I departed

I knew from now on that I was doomed
Life could never be the same
Because in the background something loomed
The voice in my head said I was to blame

I couldn't understand when I screamed out inside
Why nobody could ever hear me
No one helped when I stood and cried
No one came to rescue me

As an adult I found it bizarre
Why can't I let anyone in?
I couldn't see the prison bars
That kept me safe, but trapped within

I was pretty smart I guess
This prison I created
Kept me from harm, keeps in the mess
Whenever I'm humiliated

I ask you please consider all
When you see "Leave me alone"
Hear me shout from behind my prison wall
Don't Ever leave me alone!

Premium Member Shoreline's Memoirs

Lapping against the shoreline’s edge,
Fluid quartz-crystal of waves rush
through my toes . As I align home-made
paper boats wiggling against ebb tide,
the looped hammock of moon gently cradles
strains from Jobim’s notes, ‘ Agua de Beber, ’
where summer memoirs drip inside my veins:
On this familiar trail, he would nestle
A cocktail of stars unto my hands… riding
upon the torrid pulse of a bamboo’s gyre,
quietly leading me into the fragrant sea
that we, dream-walkers , mesh atop an islet’s breast.

Yet now, only silence mates a heart gazing at
paper boats, humped sandstone far off a ridge
that in August’s glittering last queue,
hints of ‘Agua de Beber’ speak to me
about a current, paddling on a waterfront,

Gentle and wild as the tidal net of retrospect.

Decades crossed our paths with treasured memoirs, with laughter - tears - thrown to heavenly stars.
Together we shared inner thoughts - feelings... we alone had binding - lasting dealings.

We know not when our lives will end or part, but always know we share love of the heart.
Woven together with family ties - tethered, handled in interest and never weathered.

Jointly we have supported inner strives, held each other closer throughout our lives.
Wiped away incessant tears pouring down, knowing assuredly we would be around.

Blood of same runs deep through each flowing vein, forming bond between sisters - proper and plain.
No time or tragedy can separate, not even through existence’s final fate.

As we grow and learn from our chosen course, I have learned to accept - have no remorse.
Although in miles we live so far away, in my poignant heart you forever stay.

I know for certain we will meet again, lacking all heartaches and enormous pain.
Will I know you, oh yes indeed I will, you will be the sister - from Fayetteville.

The Memoirs of a Cat Lady

“The Memoirs of a Cat Lady”

you slinked onto my sunny windowsill
winked with your one good eye
a no-brainer, all in your face, head

saucy marmalade pants
bittersweet No. 1 wins the day,
in my bed

oh to be dominant
in my realm of warmth
once again

Moonlight
calculates the temerity
of a head-over-heels

One-eyed Pirate upstart
heart-claiming
Love Cat

she remembers
shameless,
she silently grins

     A San Francisco Haiku Quartet

           Oh San Francisco
           Beat poets Ferlinghetti
           North Beach was our city

           Hushed conversations
           Rich coffees and biscotti
           Smothered in rich fog

           Our French cigarettes
           Then under table footsies
           Moonlit hills our home

           Cable cars singing
           Golden Gate from our window
           Heaven and stars..ours

and we are,
       but dusk-kissed poems,
many moons apart,
      sequined in stygian sorrow ~
while ultraviolet veins
compose an electrified elegy,
                    for unrequited stars
   struck by
                 the scorpion's rays~
 sleeping behind the
                  midnight mists
as galaxies of butterflies spiral
   through the sky
untouched by the hiss
            of snake songs...

I long to place my thoughts
on the crystalline cradle
          of the empyrean
listening to your heartbeat
          still aching
for the return
              of whirling wildflowers
    thirsty for a fountain of
 mosaic memoirs ~
    a quenching elixir
             brewed from hope
for I am a winged rose
     day-dreaming in
        my meadow of magnolias
  weaving periwinkle crowns
               with paper petals ...

yet I ponder
am I the one you think
         about
  when evening jewels soar
     curating a choir of peace
as the sun softly
    caresses velvety ripples
painting the sea in shades of love...
    or am I just
                 a forgotten myth
          lost in the
 alliterative archives
                of empty words.....

Premium Member Memoirs of Mourning You

Your childhood abode left scars unhealed
that I yearned to kiss and make better.
That sense of abandonment I recognized
As I too grew up feeling unwanted, unloved.
I beheld the tenderness in your sweet soul
The way you showered your dogs with love
Melted my heart, as flames began to burn instantly.

The vision of your handsome face danced in my
Mind day and night with the melody of love.
I knew intuitively that oneday we would be together
And I would bear your children, bonding us forever.
My dreams came true and I felt our damaged souls
Would taste years of long-lasting redemption.

Sadly I could not tame the wild spirit in you that would
Venture off into unknown territories leaving me
And our children behind to morn your loss.
After 12 years of prayers and hopes your love faded
Into a ghostly remnant of what had once felt so blissful.

We both endured such pain in parting, and sorrows
Followed you with a dark shroud clouding your vision.
When you asked me to come back to you is now but
A bittersweet memory because I found my Knight
Who galloped to my rescue and cherishes only me.
Sometimes love is not enough and we were not to be.

Memoirs

Down the road to wonder
You’ll find another day
Filled with all your memories
You’ve made along the way
Some of them happy
Some of them sad
All of them remembrance
Of the life you had
As you face tomorrow
You’ll look back on today
Seeing how your past
Has helped you find your way
Right here to the present
Where everything’s all right
Looking to the future
Where everything seems bright

Memoirs of Day

The rise of the sun,
As mists dance on the old pond:
Entwined with the breeze.

Glistening gardens,
Flowers frolic in the wind:
As birds chirp their hymns.

The ivory clouds,
Tickle the laughing mountain:
While the meadow smiles.

Flight of the red hawk,
From the bare cotton wood tree:
Soaring cobalt skies.

The praising wheat fields,
Worshiping the light of day:
Sun kisses their brow.

Sunset approaches,
Pastel colors paint the sky:
The earth bids goodnight.

Premium Member Yellow Sand Memoirs

Setting sun desert
Hot skies are blooming colors!
It's orange and red,
with the pink and lilac sprays-
and floating, creamy bouquets.

Blue stars are coming
searching for deep green they missed,
near to crescent moon.
Tall cacti salute the stars
midst swirled, yellow sand memoirs.

Something Beautiful Remains - Memoirs

Something beuatiful remains...Memoirs

The tide recedes but,
leaves behind bright
seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down, but
gentle warmth still
lingers on the land.
The music stops, and yet
It echoes on in sweet
refrains...
For every joy that passes
Something beautiful
remains

Memoirs of War

By the river corner I sat and wept
Memories of the war flooding my mind
Imagines of rotting bodies everywhere
The smell of dying children pungent still
Starvation and molestation rampant
How did things degenerate so quickly?

At all turns reality hits me quick
In the gut, so full of the pain I weep
I spy times past when laughter was rampant
Stories about my childhood come to mind
Stories that my wife tells the children still
Of blue skies and green pastures everywhere

In these stories laughter was everywhere
The young ran around full of life, very quick
Young maidens abound then, gentle and still
Men in love at their feet threatening to weep
Gestures of love lived in the young man’s mind
And the giggles of maidens were rampant

Alas now, war cries have become rampant
Snuffing out the lives of men everywhere
Empathy has been vanquished from our mind
As the years pass by children grow quickly
Awakening into the horror, weeping
They seek revenge as bloodlust grows strong still

At last the war is over, all is still
Sadly not laughter but cries are rampant
Mothers, children, fathers, everyone weeps
The smell of decay pungent everywhere
Spreading diseases and plagues, quickening
The fears and apprehension in our minds

Daily horrible sights assault the mind
And all through the nights we have nightmares still
We awake with a start, screams echo quickly
And all around insomnia is rampant
Bloodshot eyes, frail faces move everywhere
And everyone knows that all night they wept

Quickly I run, tears flowing rampant still
Everywhere I go, lost friends haunt my mind
By the river corner I sat and wept

Memoirs of An Old Man, the Laughing Version

‘I rant until i tattle.’
An old man said to me.
With boulders brass in battle
For Country, Queen and sea.

Lest not aghast a fattie,
Good heavens or abode.
We cannot simper- EVER!
For mighty frog or toad.

My clumbus, brood and brattice
Have left and faded dim,
Yet i shall stay with Stumpy
For clopper, clop and Jim.

Discounting Morris Upskate,
A ginger by default.
He keeps us musing nicely
For peace and calm revolt.

Take up thy stripy cornflake
And all who sail within,
And use the little peabus
For losing, draw or win.

And with a hanson blackie,
We clubber what we sow,
Go barphing like a windmill,
For friends we do not know.
