How life has changed
Simplicity no longer reigns
Now a society of ‘look at me’
Lost is self respect and modesty

Breasts and bums on display
Faces plastered in clay
Bodies injected with toxins
Natural beauty no longer an option

Plastic people with plastic minds
Self absorption and vanity combined
Every movement captured on phone
Posed and poised down to the bone

Never present in the here and now
Natural spontaneity they know not how
Life lived only for the screen
Admiration, praise, likes ,comments seen

Humility, modesty, respect
Replaced by egotism, vanity and body perfect
Priorities and thoughts all about self
Consideration , concern for others shelved

There is nothing they will not do
To get that almighty view
Void of decency and dignity
Now a society of ‘look at me’

Look At Me

i curl your
long dark hair in my fingers
at your neck
as I pull you down
I wait to feel the rough end of day
beard
on my face
your eyes close a little then open
to watch me
look at me, I whisper
dont stop
looking at me

Premium Member When you look at life from a different angle

when you look at life
from a different angle,
from the other side of the spectrum,
a negative can suddenly turn
into a positive.
The end of something
is actually the beginning
of something else.
Look at the word 'end',
not as the conclusion
of something,
but rather as
E...effort
N...never
D...dies,
which means when
one door shuts,
another door opens.
Look at the word 'no',
not as rejection,
but rather as
N...next
O...opportunity,
which means a blessing
is waiting for you
right around the corner.
Be patient.
When you look at life
from a different angle,
from the other side of the spectrum,
a negative will turn into
a positive.

Angel Hair; only look at clouds - Tristich AND Hexaline

cloudy consciousnesses
guarding a deep blue sky
a shadow or a streak

cloudy consciousnesses
where dark spoons up the rain
the whiteout spill of wings

cloudy consciousnesses
to a bed each alone
halo above, us fleece

Look At Me

~Look At Me~
Look at me,I will wait until you can overcome your shyness,
I will wait until you become positive.
Look at me,I will wait until you overcome your touchiness,
I will wait until you become fearless.
Look at me,I will wait until you overcome your stiffness,
I will wait until you become loving.
Look at me,I will wait until you overcome your emptiness,
I will wait until you become blameless.
Look at me,I will wait until you overcome your nervousness,
I will wait until you become indispensable for me.
                               ~I Will Not Wait~
Look at me,I will not wait because I felt you have a captivating
charm hidden under what you show as your authority.
I will not wait, because I am eager to become part of your life,
you gave me the impression that you have a gift of making me
feel imperishable.
I will not wait, because you are generous with your time and friendship,
you are generous with your love so it becomes durable and loyal.
I will not wait, because you gave me the impression that your enormous
sensitivity becomes your enormous strength to achieve your goals, and
help your partner during a lifetime.
I will not wait, because you gave me the impression that you bring
strength and intensity to your surroundings, you encourage your spirit
& soul to remain persistent and ambitious.
I will not wait, because you gave me the impression you are so powerful
and tenacious, nothing will stand in your way until you reach your
goals, as you do not like to be a failure.
I will not wait, because you gave me the impression that you can love me,
I will wait no more to manifest my love towards you beyond belief,
its unavoidable, its powerful,it needs no introduction anymore as my love
is instantaneous, endless, may I become your lover tonight. WOW,Yes.

First Look At My Love

I saw you today with a lovely brightened smile
I felt you today in the morning for a while
My heart pounds, My heart sings
That your beauty has no endings

I heard you today of voice sweetened and mellow
I felt you today but couldn't even say a 'hello'
My ear drums roll with my heart on the whole
That you're my everything

I touched you today on your lips for a while
I missed you today every inch of the mile
My heart aches, My heart makes
That you're my lovey dovey

To Look At You

To look at you… by Steve Hudson

Woman come alive at my touch
Respond to the caress of my hand,
Be yourself and more,
A mystery shrouded in wonder you are,
Surrounded in deep love and beauty,
I pursue you in fearless abandonment
Giving you my all
Captured by your eyes, your hair,
The curve of your body in sensual pose,
You were designed to draw me in,
Into the place of togetherness
To live as one in physical, in spirit and emotion,
Let it not be at my hand, the downcast of
Your disposition,
Let it not be at my hand the ordinary way of living
Nor the routine of every day boredom
But adventure and passion at every turn,
Embracing this union in daylight,
The way we embrace each other in the throughs of ecstasy at night,
Noble creature, delicate and bold
Take this hand today,
The way you took it yesterday,
And let us walk in sacred unity for the Glory of tomorrow.

Premium Member Don'T Look At Me That Way

Way too easy, when you look at
 me
 like you can see
words wade in slow
draw in breath, like a magic
 key
two eyes
and all the wonders they show

For me it doesn't come so easy
the specter of nineteen
dealin' in failure wins
and winds my tongue

Never knew where it grew
between the creased parlor
lights made to start

What I do know
when my fingers touched yours
bright and beautiful
the spark
that ripped right through
my heart

Forever is a long time
far too long never to say
I love, it's love, you're loved..

so if you never want to hear it,
don't look at me that way.

When I Look At You

When I look at you

By morning’s light
I see so many
wondrous things
before my eyes

A rising sun
of crimson glow
on amber clouds
in early skies

A morning glory
full in bloom
to greet the day
in shades of blue

A breeze now swaying
through the leaves
An emerald lawn
of glistened dew

A butterfly
in happy flight
enjoying nectar
fresh and free

A robin tending
to her young
A squirrel
and a bumble bee

Of all the things
that I may see
which come alive
my morning view

My favorite sight
will always be
the beauty when
I look at you

Good morning Soupers

Premium Member I Look At You

I look at You and I see the mountains moving
I look at You, and the seas are split apart
I look at You, and I see the love of ages
All bursting from one ever-faithful heart.

Sometimes our eyes grow weary in our misery
Our lids are weighted heavy from our tears
And we can't see beyond, our salty, drowning pond
So we flounder then surrender to our fears.

But I look at You and I see the mountains moving
I look at You, and the seas are split apart
I look at You, and I see the love of ages
All bursting from one ever-faithful heart.

Each day can be so filled with distractions
Rushing from one crisis to the next
And in our haste to fix, we exclude You from the mix
When the answers all lie within your text.

Cuz when I look at You, I see the mountains moving
I look at You, and the seas are split apart
I look at You, and I see the love of ages
All bursting from one ever-faithful heart

A million miracles I see
The biggest miracle would be
That You chose to love a person lost as me.

Now I look at You and I see the mountains moving
I look at You, and the seas are split apart
I look at You, and I see the love of ages
All bursting from one ever-faithful heart.

Premium Member As I Look At the Sky

(Hourglass poem)

I look at the sky and see clouds
Blush and cover sun as they flood
And light grows small as they go by
I watch them as they cross the sky

I see clouds change into weird shapes
Sometimes the sky is a blue grape
But there are times when it turns gray
And that's when the sun fades away

Looking at the sky is quite nice
I'd love to watch it more than twice
As they glow in the night so bright
And count stars in the sky at night

And count stars in the sky at night
As they glow in the night so bright
I'd love to watch it more than twice
Looking at the sky is quite nice

And that's when the sun fades away
But there are times when it turns gray
Sometimes the sky is a blue grape
I see clouds change into weird shapes

I watch them as they cross the sky
And light grows small as they go by
Blush and cover sun as they flood
I look at the sky and see clouds!

A Closer Look At Me

With a heart wide open the world can see my way..
Like laying naked in the rain, the drops of water touch and say..

Spilled out on a table where candles light a dark sky..
All my lost secrets served out for strangers passing by..

Judging me for the past and decisions made without sight..
Now blindfolded in a corner of a ring for an unfair fight..

Look closer into these slightly weathered eyes and feel just me..
Some wrongs made right over time is maybe the best you'll see..

Premium Member Look At Ourselves

If we look in the mirror
What do we see
If we look behind us
Is it other than thee

If we do a wrong
Does it make it right
If we apologise
Does it change our sight

To all who have done wrong
Raise your hands
If not here
In other lands

There is many a crime
So hideous and wrong
But to do wrong once
We sing that same song

Its the level of wrong
That we distinguish to discuss
The misdemeanour
And the out and out cuss

Others will recover
A different path they will follow
Others will re-offend
It's their bitter pill, they will swallow

So there comes a time
To judge some less
Allow their reunion
Their second test

Allow him this chance
His new life has began

Look back on this day
As we look at ourselves
How many off us, could have been
Left on a shelf

Look At Me

A slash here
A slash there
The blood keeps dripping
As my heart continues ripping

Look at my wrists and tell me what you see
Do you see weakness or do you see me
Look at the stains seeping through
Make sure you pay attention to the story too

They show all my struggle and pain
Torn between being sane and insane
Some would think I have it great
But its just me that I hate

It's not even just me I despise
It's the addict in disguise
Most days I wish I was dead
Look at all the blood and tears I shed

I'm not living anymore

Premium Member I Often Look At the Sky

I often look at the sky
For views, answers and peace
The moving clouds, letting me release
All worries I stand by

I often look at the sky
Lifted by colors and light
Carrying me through day and night
Letting rain wash tears I cry

I often look at the sky
Formations of change to inspire
The drive in me burns like a fire
Truth beyond every lie

I often look at the sky
The gift it brings me, I’m grateful
God’s creation is plentiful
I have no doubts as to why

I often look at the sky
With my prayers for others too
Sending them across miles of blue
I look, I love, I dream, I fly
