Best Loveheart Poems
She’s just an old memory of a younger man’s dreams
An image of love hard to find
I can still see her eyes, taste the joy of her lips
In the deep recesses of my mind
Hair that was flowing, a smile that was glowing
An angel with earthly charms
Felt her heart beat in the tropical heat
Got lost in her loving arms
Sometimes I wonder if it was only a dream
An old sea story that I told
But I remember those eyes like a radiant beam
A treasure greater than gold
I wonder now if she waited on shore
With the fire in her heart still burning
And I wonder if there were tears in her eyes
Realizing I would not be returning
She’s just an old memory that haunts me today
A storybook love affair
A blanket, a beach and two bodies entangled
On a tropical island somewhere.
Something evil this way comes
Sure as the rising of the Son
A single heart left to bleed
A lost soul with a dying need
When love proves it doesn’t care
In creeps darkness and despair
Angry voices from deep with-in
Scream I’m a fool once again
I now make my soul like a cave
It’s the darkness that I now crave
Around my heart I shall build a moat
With blood sacrifices unto the goat
Deep in darkness as a soul can be
Father of darkness come feed on me
She destroyed the love in my soul
I do pray that hate fills up the hole
Troubled souls with hallow voices
In this life we all make choices
My choices have left me degraded
I now hate the person I created
Into darkness away from the Son
Something evil this way comes
Yea, I posted this for Deborah's contest.
Believe it or not this is who i used to
be. Poetry is a truly amazing tool when
it comes to change, it transformed this
into the man I am. All I can say about
that, "Praise be the Power of God".
Sticks and stones may break my bones
But your lies will cease to hurt me
You think that you have finally won
But don't think I'll let you burn me
I'll sit and smile and make you think
I know nothing of what you do
But secretly I'll make you see
The last laugh will be on you
Sticks and stones may break my bones
But your decet will hurt no more
You won't see me cry a singel tear
As I watch you walk out that door
Don't think that you can go astray
And plan on coming back
I don't believe in forgiveness
I'd rather have a heart attack
My love for you has slowly died
I buried it today
I built a wall around my heart
To keep all men away
Sticks and stones may break my bones
But words can break much more
They can take your heart and leave the pieces
Shattered all over the floor
Take my letter to her, O Messenger!
Yes, totally washed are its words and phrases
A deed of my flooding eyes I couldn’t deter
The tornado of tears accumulated for ages
The storm of anguish concealed in heart
Washed all urges of soul that flowed from pen
The torrents rumbling from the start
Once started couldn’t be stopped there and then
Her perception will be triggered, I am sure
This blank sheet will reveal all that I meant to say
The power of love will her instincts conjure
My feelings, my urges won’t go astray
Tell her, that the lustrous mansion of pride and ego
Is falling to pieces like the house of cards
The dark alleys of life that lost their glow
In a state of disrepair, description beyond words
The King of Diamond has lost the game
A player is lucky to hold the three A’s
Lost is all the glory and fame
Built in years and lost in days
His eyes craving for your enchanting face
The candles of his eyes weep in the desolate nights
Lost is all peace and tranquility’s trace
Your charming features his heart ignites
A few breaths are left in the dying tree of life
With fallen leaves and barren branches entwined
Resuscitate and free it from torments and strife
Be a glow of the dimmed eyes that brilliantly shined
Tell her, the writer awaits your reply
With burning heart and soul alight
Before torments enhance and wounds multiply
And the bird of life takes to wing of flight
I walk above all pain
risen and relentless
floating on borrowed air oblivious
This heart is impervious fortress, like stonewall embattlements
...that lie is twisted around every bitter past and hollow present
Meandering useless, wander and watch
Romances ebbing, flowing, flying, crashing...dead
Envy circles about my head
longer away, further removed...and lonely
This heart is porous Swiss, like wine-tasting afterthoughts
...that truth is a hulking shadow looming disproportionate
engulfing any new light on unseen horizons
Only wishing she might see and understand
My hot and cold passion platters served accordingly
apprehensive only in love's pursuits
timid like bullied school children cowering in corners
Brash and outspoken otherwise...shackled when it may matter
This heart is neglected farmland, like wartorn meadows
...that reality inhibits every bright angle of my soul
suffocating the man you would love...if you knew
Of love there is no antidote nor cure,
A brazen heart knows nothing of the hand,
That guides this Cupid arrow fair and pure,
And pierces through with art that soul can stand.
Of choice the soul knows nothing to begin,
As seeds that scatter aimlessly on clay,
Some grow and flourish unbeknown to him,
That stalks the Earth oblivious and grey.
Confounded he, who is awakened so,
From anaesthetic binding dark as night,
When true love strikes and soul begins to glow,
He see’s a Universe that’s blazing bright.
And brazen heart is smelted down to flesh,
And nourished through with all of loves relish.
Sitting beneath the stellar awning
Humbly, shall I comemmorate
Before the sun, creeps in crawling
Every star shall I dedicate
To you, My Love; Look at the skies
For you, My Love, I most despise.
To you, I say, in subtle north
Go tell him how my heart did bleed
When he did scowl, as I put forth
The ways I cared and loved indeed
You'd kiss my wounds - control, condole
Then skew them deeper, slaying my soul.
In far east, you, so bright yet blank
Have you not seen how hard i wept?
When flowed his eyes, his tears I drank
Did you not count my nights unslept?
And blind, was I, to your disguise
Gaze up, My Love, go find your lies!
Weep not, My friend, most close-knit
For you did taste deception bitter
Dazzled like queen, down south you sit
Mere a pawn now of waning glitter
Concur I, My Love, all pretence is sweet!
Until falls the cloak, and truth does greet.
Toppled, as I, did west monarch shiver
Warned of haste; but he'd cried my name
Limits, leaped I, not a blink's quiver
For cared I not, if world did blame
In pain, My Love, at me, you mocked
Alone, My Love, left me, you debauched!
Sorrow, the sacrifice, you did witness
O! Glazing Moon! Make haste and tell
How profound is hatred, beneath this breast
Where, drenched in love, a heart did dwell
Upon you, My heart, I swear, I proclaim
Sha'n't ever bleed in eye, sha'n't ever take his name.
Lo! Behold! Last thing, I wish to confess
If I say unto you, shall I be relieved
For you know me, my heart at best
If I say unto you, shall I be believed
No matter how high may hatred soar
I own, my love shall weigh ever more!
Decisions good, decisions bad
Either way it's happy or sad
Losing a job, or losing a friend
It's hidden but stays until the end.
Life's challenges are not really fair
Leaving our hearts in pieces, our minds in the air
Many find it true, to be extremely hard
Life's a game, choose your next card
Decisions that are like a two edged sword
Can leave you speechless, not saying a word
My heart has been shot, not one time, but eight
And still I have no remorse, anger or hate
How can it be? I be treated so bad
And not be angry at the cruelty I've been had
It's just a curse to many and a blessing to some
They say, "In the long-run, your happiness will come."
No matter stay high, just take every blow
Don't count back the days, weeks or years ago
That your heart was pieces and now it's been lost
No matter the feeling, it's not worth the cost
Many times you hear, "It happens to most."
But do they not understand, what matters to me most?
Just having an arm, wrap around me at night
Someone to cherish, in my heart so tight
At several times, I've turned to isolation
But all it brings is love deprivation
Sleeping at night, laying there all alone
It's a child at age 5, when no one's at home
I hold it together, and think of the past
And the friends from the Navy that will forever last
I think of the future and where I will be
On a ship or a boat, set sailing and free
But I can pretend it doesn't hurt and not show it at all
Only some people can read me, the signs, so small
They see pain in my eyes and no heart on my sleeve
They try to relax me, they do it with ease
So this is my story for so many ears
This is how my life's been for so many years
Not just with my heart, but with my mind and soul
After the Navy, the hurt doesn't get old.....
Why is life so difficult?
All the time I wonder,
Why I stand against lightening
But I cower from the thunder.
Lightening is life.
It’s what causes me to make a choice.
The sweet yet forceful sound
Of thunder is the sound of your voice.
When I cry my endless tears,
Why does my heart forcefully bleeds?
Why am I constantly torn
Between my wants and my needs?
I have only one want
But my needs are what I need to do.
If my needs help hold a better
Than I want to need you.
My heart says it can
Take any blow she will throw,
But can I really trust my heart?
I don’t know.
I want the sweeter things in life
But I need the bitter.
If my wants lead me to death
Then I need to be with her.
From my breaking point, i try to reframe
All my thoughts seem to sway
My heart hates what my mind became
Every emotion in my body, i try to tame
my mind says go, my heart says stay
from my breaking point, i try to reframe
For my mistakes, i take the blame
maybe we'll be again some day
my heart hates what my mind became
I smile just to hide my shame
For my wrongs to you, I will pay
from my breaking point, i try to reframe
I feel crooked with no aim
alone again, tonight I'll lay
my heart hates what my mind became
Now harshly we play in loves game
Disappearing fast like snow in may
From my breaking point, i try to reframe
My heart hates what my mind became
I saw you today with a lovely brightened smile
I felt you today in the morning for a while
My heart pounds, My heart sings
That your beauty has no endings
I heard you today of voice sweetened and mellow
I felt you today but couldn't even say a 'hello'
My ear drums roll with my heart on the whole
That you're my everything
I touched you today on your lips for a while
I missed you today every inch of the mile
My heart aches, My heart makes
That you're my lovey dovey
Sensuous dreams, a love that was lost,
Wind over fire, rain after frost.
Willow trees blow, firecrackers spark,
whispers of love alone in the dark.
Lusterous hearts, undying love,
caressing your body, reigning from above.
Kiss me once my heart does plead,
kiss me twice, my soul shall bleed.
Raindrops patter in my face,
within my heart, I see his grace.
I love you more, he said in tears,
releasing his hopes, his dreams and his fears.
You'll live in my heart although I cry,
you'll live in my heart, until the water runs dry.
If love is sharing,
Heartfelt caring
Always being by someone's side.
If love is giving
Knowing the joy of living
A deep down feeling of pride.
If love is heart thumping,
Excitement,nerves jumping
Never knowing quite what to expect.
If love is yearning,pleasing
Playfully teasing
Yet treating another with respect.
If love is tears and laughter
Cuddles, and what comes after
That feeling of indescribable sweetness.
If love is quiet and content,
Time well spent
An overall sense of completeness.
If love is wanting,yet undemanding,
Patient,understanding
Tries to see another's point of view.
If love little tussles and fights
Then putting things to rights
The way only lovers can and do.
If love is growing old together
Commitment from the heart forever,
Being bound to someone yet feeling free,
In life the passion and the pain,
Yet through it the constant gain
Then let LOVE be for all our destiny.
A sensation I’d never had before
Overcome by helplessness when he touched my hand
Attraction ignited as he first entered the door
Warmth filled me as we sauntered ‘cross the sand
Giggling ‘neath starlight, so happy to find my man
His dark, wavy hair I brushed my fingers through
The first time we kissed, my heart raced fast
I melted in his strong arms, passion grew
He was so brilliant, had integrity and class
What he saw in me, I just couldn’t grasp
He was older than I, but it didn’t matter
I’d never loved before and never did again
He was mature, my heart he wouldn’t shatter
As a virgin danced on the beach; fate had a plan
Deep in my heart, I knew he’d be my husband

Fated to Love
Best to simply weigh the heart with a poppy seed
Counter balance on granite
All its rhythmical surging
Its expeditious life
Amounts to nothing
Better then, not to believe in its enchantment
For it is fated to love
And do little else but lead
To ruin
Well-worn to stop up your ears
Lest you hear its background murmurings
Brooding upon devotion
Lacking the power to change anything
But weeps constantly for dreams
Do not then, be deceived
For all the hearts will to achieve
It cannot
But burst inside your veins
Only half remembering what once you never held
Though its truth persists
It lays persecutory back against a lie
The heart would try
But cannot defy the world
Beware then my friends
For that muscular aorta pump and valve
Will lay you stark
And rend open beneath your ribs
And grant you no solace
Or escape
For all in the life of steady beats
It knows nothing of fact
And through your nights survival
Will stab at you with yearning
Brooking no compromise
It shall continue
Craving
Damnable heart I say
To leave me no place to rest
If I could but tear it out
For it taints my eyes with longing
Converting my hours for its keeping
Playing poker faced with deliverance
Trying to cheat destiny
With the price it paid to see me
Counting the cost in when’s
And when
When all the loneliness
Will end
Beware of when; then my friends
For that muscular ventricle pump and valve
Will lay you star-dream-gathering
And break open daily beneath your ribs
And yield to you no solace
But only escapism
Damnable heart I say
To leave me no place to rest
If I could but tear it out
