Slumber unwinds within crinkled cellophane,
Enigmatic visions come to life and sustain.
Geometrical shapes skin to pyramids, expand,
Cruising fairies sing through shimmering sand.

Hey, Captain! Ferry sails across any hurdle,
A searing streak splits the sky as a starved squirrel.
A prize is won, dock shuts, and crowds cheer,
At night, memories of you come back so near.

Delicate spiderwebs hang as stars in the sky,
Mozart hands waltz ivory piano keys sigh.
Galaxy emits a lambent, milky-white light,
Tapestry Highways sails by my a quilted sight.

A cosmic queen embarks on a cynosure journey,
Slicing over a glistening ocean during night mercy.
Colorful pathways in the sky are formed by sea swirls,
Mermaids glide fluffy waves of glistening pearls.

Behold a sturdy sail, a tough and bold ship, oh heart!
As bleak as the gnomes at dawn, it's time to depart!
On deck, the skipper is fierce and red-dripping,
Meanwhile, my soul lingers in frigid buds snipping.

Captain! Rise and hear chimes; to you, a flag raised,
You gained fights and flights, and doves amazed.
The ship has sailed safely and fulfilled its voyage,
He gulped distance, sea, time, and buoyage.

It was a time of jubilation and feelings of love,
During spell hour, they shone brightly from above.
Dived in the chaotic bliss of love, this waned,
In a misty past, the spirit soared and stained.

Rivers rush down slopes, and peaks loom tall,
Rafters ride via waterfalls as bridges never fall.
Deer graze in fields, and craftsmen, work away,
Sweets and meals sizzle on burner, made to stay.

Chili, pasta, beans, and maize are all we need,
The Alpine guy eats grits, Angus, and meat, indeed.
Riders hold on tight with flying manes and fish dives,
West Virginia alpine star twinkles and jives.

Hived

There was a beekeeper named Jives
Who found a rash on his thighs.
The doctor said be at peace,
Nothing to fear in the least.
You simply have too many hives.

Tapped percussion dribbles a wham,rushing
on quivers of sensation through my blood,
when duskfall changes its beat to jazz
a dizzy ride in gush of night, I roll.

Notes throbbing a cadence along blues' mood
as velvet of skin begins to open,
unmentionable thrills of breath unwind
claimed by music so raw, wild hips sashay.

Hands unfurl in a lift of tempo's rise;
while my body gyrates in free motion
like rippling fire, I can't stop toes ablaze
and the circle of groove jives on to reel.

Oh, just one more grasp of this revelry
while conga drums beg for another dance
inhaling euphoric whim, life's vein
where pulses burst as dawn's moments arrive!

Wind careless whisper, leads me to peer
To run... view: a play of cosmos dance
Feet - glued on this one enchanting trance

Momentum of crescendo
Filling me with all tempo
Awesome divertimento

On ocean blue, dolphins leap and hop
School of fish swims to form a line dance
Jellies jig and wave in modern pop

Gentle breeze sways leaves of trees
Lush leaves swing on teeming green
Bearing fruits of finest genes

Butterflies tango to petals bulbs
Bees waltz sucking nectarine from buds
Blossoms jazz bloomed on big pinky reds

Deer leads the flamenco band
Squired by birds tweeting on land
Mused fireflies mambo so grand

Fluffy clouds in cha-cha during day
Sunshine smiles in frug of golden rays
Bossa Nova rolls a soothing play

One-step day ends, night jives win
Moon and stars folk dance veils shin
Classic world in riant grin

Shrapnel of Karma

To the North, South, East, and West...

Geniuses are lost in the jaunty jewels of rakish cads,

The hazard morsel palaver allot odium on idioms...

Rankle virulent mishmash wheeze addle chagrin jives,

Loosing a volley of expletives ordure waft charmed oafs,

Self-iniquity gull maven heresy when blighted wizardry jinxes,

Ticklish cynic infidel swindle dupe cozen duress...

Squall patois and whammy sham schemas wriggle hoaxes,

Charlatans and hoodlums melange to dunce vows,

A shyster unquiet quivers with jester gestures now...

Semi-sacrilege vitiate and endemic jargon raze imps,

This collides as a white energy as dolt hooligan knaves beget...

Colloquial bilge putrefy, the rascals soon flatter us,

Bollix of potpourri lingo wanes to tutelary tongues,

Harlequin coercion argot musical novellas in history,

Pray our shifting shrapnel of karma, varnish boor minds,

Erstwhile, live grenades made of better lives are unvanquished as they are
thrown by unsung heroes into the North, South, East, and West,...amen...

Springtime Rondeau

Winter bows to spring in gallantry
As rain laden clouds scurry ‘cross the skies
In a raucous rollicking rondeau,
A playful prance in heaven’s newborn blues,
As green fields of wheat swing and sway
In springtime’s lusty exhaled ballet;
Vernal mischief winks,
Not glancing back into numb hibernation,
Then jives in rhymes of rock and roll
With rowdy zephyr imps
In a feral festival of green shoots bursting out,
Freed from winter’s taunting domination,
While flowers blush in blooms of magical grace
And morning wears a floral cloak of joy
Lush with life in spring dances.

Trumpet Sounding – abundance Resounding –
A harvest not Empty – a horn of Plenty –
Season bounty Astounding – safe from snowbound Surroundings
Fall Caressing fair autumn Blessings.

Sweet orbs of Green or burgundy Seen
In arbors that Wait grape clusters to Take
Nectars Serene in fermenting Dreams
Dew mists so Fine like sparkling Wine.

Breath of Autumn whispers soft harvest Hymns
Ruffles ripe Fields of grain’s golden Yield
Blades salute skies Solemn - in straight rows, in Columns
Kernel berries grown for Bread - we bow our Heads.

Apples Reside – sweet juiciness Abides
Orchard boughs Seen in ornaments red, yellow, Green
Thoughts of pie Ride as cinnamon delight Glides
Crisp ciders Arrive in jugs and in Jives!

Frosty fall Dells painted in icy Pastels
Leave a transparent Sheen on rambling vines Green
Pepitas in Shells of bright orange they Dwell
In pumpkins and Squash - festive fields Awash

Such flavor Divine – like honey sweet Wine –
Wide bottomed Orbs - sun sweetness Absorbed -
A taste Refined – bliss, sublime, Intertwine –
Pears Appear at the end of the Year!

From blossom Wings nascent in Spring
Sweet surprise Resting in hard shells Nesting
Squirrels seasonal Fling – winter Investing -
Walnuts and Almonds, pecans by the mill Pond

Nestle in deep slumber the mighty Kublai dreams
of lapping cold milk, eating fresh meat, running wild
with hundreds of his doggie friends

Little Genghis shoots up from bed and darts out
running to room to room to sniff and search for what abouts
finding Kublai asleep on his fluffy pillow bed
He sniffs him gingerly and retreats under the adjoining chair

Peeking through the curtains a stream of sunlight
embraces the mighty Kublai and he stretches in place
sits himself up and has a good long yawn
He steps off his bed as if he was sleep walking
and within an blink of an eye

A snarl a flash a quick ten yaps, the little Genghis
is on the attack, he jumps he jives on Kublai hide
then just as quick he runs away and hides

Kublai stumbles back on his rump, shakes his sleepy heavy head
looks confused and tries again to stumble up-BUT
BOOM! the attack resumes happy growls awake you pal
as Genghis barks and snaps won't shut his trap
then just as sudden disappears

Kublai shakes it off, softly coughs and nudges his way back to bed
lies himself down with an irritable frown and lays down his sleepy head

Genghis purrs into a growl getting ready to pounce his pal
But I open a bag of doggie jerky treats
Kublai immediately stands on his four feet
Eyes wide open nose in the air, he zooms so fast without a care
Genghis planning another attack but with Kublai barging
gets slapped back, flipped over and rolls under the chair like a cat
Kublai will have no more of that
He greedily grabs his doggie treat
the taste of morning now so sweet
Little Genghis finally got it back
no more of his morning guerrilla attacks
Genghis gets his jerky treat runs and hides in defeat
Mighty Kublai licks his lips savors the flavor of treat he gets
What a way to begin my day nothing really left to say
no TV shows could bring me the joys
of the silly antics of my little morning boys

Simple Pleasures

Loving touches of masculine hands
Sweeping hair away from face
Raising Goose bumps of Love
Simply caressing an embrace

Simple pleasures of you and me
In a glance of defining eyes
To seal with passionate kissing
Resting body's after jives

Star struck with your moves
Grooving to my every beat
In tune with my mood
Conversational melody

Swept right off my feet
Intentional actions intertwine
Attention to the marine
Collecting lovers reservoir
