Springtime Rondeau
Springtime Rondeau
Winter bows to spring in gallantry
As rain laden clouds scurry ‘cross the skies
In a raucous rollicking rondeau,
A playful prance in heaven’s newborn blues,
As green fields of wheat swing and sway
In springtime’s lusty exhaled ballet;
Vernal mischief winks,
Not glancing back into numb hibernation,
Then jives in rhymes of rock and roll
With rowdy zephyr imps
In a feral festival of green shoots bursting out,
Freed from winter’s taunting domination,
While flowers blush in blooms of magical grace
And morning wears a floral cloak of joy
Lush with life in spring dances.
