Lets flatten the curve with our words and soften our quill.
We are world siblings, showing solidarity through will.
Words that heal are like a prayer in times of sorrow.
They can pronounce our stories, comfort and burrow.
No time for silent pens, it's a time to rise and write.
In adversity, poetry stands tall like a gallant knight.
Poetic fingers express emotions through flowing ink,
forming rhymes and verses which influence minds to think.
Disunity is a plague, which feasts upon heinous hearts.
Unity paints a peaceful masterpiece of fine arts.

Images of children dwelling in developing world
In plight of poverty~~ some two billion strong,
Fly a flag of existence, waving distress unfurled,
Crooning mournful song: is this where we belong?
Struggling in parched lands of bared dreary sights
World they live in is the world they have known,
Where days of emptiness cede to dreary nights
Churning nightmares as dreams vacant bemoan.
Wishing upon an angel~ I would endeavor to plead
For turning places despaired into domains of hope,
For means to educate, learn skills, write and read,
For rewriting will of destiny, while striving to cope.
If I could bend sorrow and the fate of tomorrow
Seeds of knowledge I’ll sow in the dreaded woe
Marveling the fields of wisdom sprout and grow
As minds edified glow, defying misery’s shadow.
My wish for peace echoes benevolence spurred
As hymns of unity in the temple of goodwill toll
And calls of equity from endearing hearts heard
Reverberate harmony in euphony of sublime soul.
I wish upon a candle, for world to join a sing-along
Lauding pledges of love to spur the youth on and on
Cheering to acclaim: this is where the kids belong~
In benevolence of hearts, over seven billion strong.

For Brother Jacob, our fellow poet,
who lives his life
real and true to the call of God:
COME INTO MY HOUSE LORD
Come into my house Lord.
Anoint my house with peace.
Adorn it with jewels of love.
May laughter ring from its walls.
Bring children that call -
that call upon the name
of the living God.
Break the tablets of sin.
Resurrect those ears and chins.
May light flow back into young eyes.
Let them not sleep with unholy light.
May their conversation be
holy and hopeful.
May it spread
like a passionate fire until the end,
for these children are yours;
raised for such a time as this.
Lord, let parents and grandparents
rest on your word, like a comfy-soft pillow.
May they primp and fluff the word of God,
reviving it, making it fresh
for those little ears
and teenagers
and young adults.
Come into my house, Lord.
Let your footsteps be found.
Let every room be blessed
with your oil of gladness.
Overflowing…overflowing -
flood of goodness, your lovingkindness.
Break the habit of sin.
Throw it into the pit.
Raise your arms.
Wait for it!
Wait for it!
Blessings that can’t be contained.
They far outweigh the gods of yesterday.

His day had come, and so He went and prayed.
The woes of all mankind upon him weighed.
His brethren slept; He knew what would befall.
His enemies conspired and did not stall.
A midnight kiss, and He would stand betrayed.
First seized, reviled, then stripped and flayed;
A scarlet robe on broken flesh then laid,
He bore the brutal cross and drank the gall.
His day had come.
A final breath. . . . the sacrifice was made.
The land then quaked. God’s sorrow was displayed.
The Son in linen. . . . on the earth a pall.
But in the sepulcher, His final call –
To conquer death! Man need not be afraid.
His day had come!

Come to me when love has robbed you blind
Come to me in search of someone kind
Come to me when tears run down your face
Come to me in search of saving grace
Come to me
Come to me when life cannot fulfill
Come to me in search of that sweet thrill
Come to me when tongues are filled with lies
Come to me in search of lover's prize
Come to me
Come to me when longing breaks your soul
Come to me in search of what makes whole
Come to me when night won't yield to dawn
Come to me in search of dreams now gone
Come to me
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I will not ask you where your heart has been
I will not leave you out, but welcome in
I will not close my ears to troubled sigh
I will not ask what you have done or why
Come to me
I'll give to you a welcome in my bed
I'll give you pillowed breast for weary head
I'll give to you a drink of nectar sweet
I'll give you night of love the dawn to greet
Come to me
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Come to me before night bleeds to day
Come to me before you lose the way
Come to me before this love grows old
Come to me before your heart goes cold
Come to me

Love will come to you
Are you feeling lost and all alone?
searching for love, searching for love
Is your heart still looking for it's home?
searching for love, searching for love
Don't you know that love will come to you
Don't you know there's something you can do
Don't you want to share your life with someone?
Love will be waiting, love will be waiting
Do you feel the burning and the hunger?
Love is there waiting, love is there waiting
Don't you know that love will come to you?
Don't you know there's something you can do!
Chorus
Look at the reflection in the mirror...
take a good look at the person you see
Let the real you shine out ever clearer...
Help yourself to be, the best you can be!
A promise of true love brings satisfaction
Yes, love will find you, yes it will find you
Feelings deep inside, more than attraction
Yes, it will find you, yes love will find you
Don't you know that love will come to you?
Don't you know there's something you can do!
Chorus
Look at the reflection in the mirror...
take a good look at the person you see
Let the real you shine out ever clearer...
Help yourself to be, the best you can be!
Happiness that will last, your whole lifetime!
Yes, love has found you, yes love has found you
A lasting love that will forever shine!
Yes, love has found you, yes, love has found you
Don't you know that love will come to you?
Don't you know there's something you can do!
Chorus
Look at the reflection in the mirror...
take a good look at the person you see
Let the real you shine out ever clearer...
Help yourself to be, the best you can be!
chorus repeat and fade

Before the day turned into night
You I saw, what an awesome sight!
A smile of eve, of love and light,
A lovesome theme, my dream did write.
Up high blazed pink arc of the sky,
A spark of joy in purple dye,
A gleeful vibe of sun’s goodbye,
When love in your eyes moon did vie.
You my love, are a dream come true,
For life with you, is life I woo;
On cusp of night, where stars lure you,
To clues of love, the sunset drew.
Pray I now, you will steer my way,
Before this night turns into day.
What goes up must come down.
No colors can define who you are.
You may own a cart or limousine.
We'll still reach the end when it is near.
I may be poor today and eat from trash.
Tomorrow, you can't tell. I'll earn some cash.
The bed where you lie is soft and wide.
I sleep at a sidewalk and the stars are my lamp.
You wake up each morn' with a feast on your table
While we are scavenging to fill stomachs when we're able.
Our destiny isn't written in the stars.
We work for a living to thrive in this life.
Be thankful every morning you witness the sun
And pray tonight that no one lives same as I.
Wheels come in full circle, rolling round and round.
Today you'll be on top,
I am watching from the ground.
Let us bear in our minds that we are better than birds.
Our loving Father ensures each mouth is fed.
Not even the smallest details can pass by His eyes.
So plant a seed of kindness and reap a better life.

Come and see the tiny baby,
sleeping on a bed of straw.
The angels came and sang His praises,
and shepherds watched in silent awe.
Come and see who's in the temple,
listening to the rabbis teach;
a twelve year old who asks them questions,
His wisdom is beyond their reach.
"Come and see," said John The Baptist,
"The Lamb of God sent from above.
On Him the Father sent His Spirit,
it came down on Him like a dove."
"Come and see," insisted Andrew,
when he found Simon by the sea.
"I believe we've found Messiah.
Drop your nets and come with me."
"Come and see", cried out the woman,
"The man who told me all I'd done.
He said He'd give me living water.
Could He be the Holy One?"
Come and see this man called Jesus.
He heals the sick, the blind, the lame.
Even demons are subject to Him.
Those He touches are never the same.
Come and see this Jewish Rabbi,
as He teaches on the hill.
The crowds are spellbound by His message,
He teaches them about God's will.
Come and see the righteous anger,
of the man from Galilee.
See Him cleanse the crowded temple,
of the merchants and their greed.
Come and see the Lord at prayer,
in the garden on His knees.
Sweating drops of blood in anguish,
God's will be done is what He pleads.
Come and see the man betrayed,
by His own disciple's kiss.
Sold for thirty silver coins,
by a traitor in His midst.
Come and see the suffering servant,
hands and feet nailed to the cross.
Hear Him say, "Father, forgive them,"
as His friends weep for their loss.
Come and see, His tomb is empty.
See, the stone has been rolled away.
The Son of God has conquered death,
He has risen from the grave.
Come and see the risen Savior,
See and touch His nail-pierced hands.
Hear Him say, "Go preach the gospel,
to every nation, every land."
Come and see, men, women, children,
Jesus is the Life, the Truth, the Way,
to peace and joy and life everlasting.
Believe in Him without delay.

The steep waning of duskfall held by one
Cuddled by a wheeze , the dim air’s pale light,
Nestling upon boughs of memoirs undone
As scenes rise mildly with an ached delight.
Although fall plunges into my own depth,
Giving way to chills of winter ,prolonged
So must spring blossom with a fragrant breath
For roam I must through peaks of Augusts’ song.
And musings dip upon the faltering wings
A blazed remembrance of seasons’ refrains;
Snuffed by love’s risk, hardened from cold warning
Oh time withers, breaks ...still I call your name.
Hearts evade pleas, sweet moments gone astray
That now I rest on a crib of old stars
But such is life allowing what is the way;
To gather new treasures...near or afar.

Come, walk in the spring's budding forest with me,
Enraptured by musical sounds of the wild,
Where life dwells unhindered and gracefully free.
For children of nature, we happen to be,
Made open and free as an innocent child…
Come, walk in the spring's budding forest with me,
Enthralled with the wonder of earth’s majesty,
Abandoned with nature where God’s love has smiled,
Where life dwells unhindered and gracefully free.
Our worldly, dark troubles will magically flee,
Erasing the sorrowful memories filed…
Come, walk in the spring's budding forest with me,
Tranquility flows everywhere peacefully
With nature's deep fragrance, sweet-scented and mild,
Where life dwells unhindered and gracefully free.
Absorbing the essence of Earth's modesty,
With stillness and beauty of nature compiled,
Come, walk in the spring's budding forest with me,
Where life dwells unhindered and gracefully free.
Suspended like a lemon drop
on the tongue of night
the moon melts—
there was a child who eyed the sky
through his black lashes crows did fly
Haze, ever present,
on this humid September eve,
blurs the edges of reality
calling forth images
sweet beginnings
the howls of wolf—
the warmth of blood.
a teddy bear he held to him
Ma said the wolf cried—let me in
Fireflies fly near the
sparkler’s
spinning
lamplight
bathes his white blanket in blue.
under the cover he runs boohoo
after all he was only two!

Early rain falls gently
like your fingers
running softly through my hair
in our cabin down the valley
The wind breathes lightly
like your lips
treading kisses on my neck
as I keep humming merrily
Crimson poppies bow in silence
whilst I walk down the lane
I cross over the bridge
to cross over again
I watch the Tuscan sun
set down beyond the prairie
I dance in verdant fields
where once met a pink fairy
With eyes full of love
I follow fluttering wings of tiny fire-flies
which glistens in night sky
like little lantern lights
I pass through fragrant vineyards
which pour perfumes of wine
I walk distance and moments
in memory of time
I hold on to a star
which leads me somewhere far
to cobbled winding streets
to wherever you are
To the end of glowing moons
to the still sound of your cry
to a forgotten kite
which keeps freedom
soaring high
To the well of your thoughts
to that soft tender part
to the cascading passion
in the alley of your heart.

Come write for me, and let your words be known
Don't keep them locked inside, undressed by voice
For long your thoughts to dungeon you have thrown
Oh, set them free, and let my heart rejoice
Don't hoard your bounty of the purest gold
which holds your thoughts, your dreams, your treasure trove
I beg of you to let your heart be bold
and lead me to that peaceful inner cove
I long to rest awhile and hear the sea
the gentle lapping of your metered rhyme
I need to dip my soul in poetry
and feel the rush of waves unbound by time
Come write for me, and let my mind explore
The beauty of those words I so adore
