Notes About The Poem

When Poets Come Together As One

Lets flatten the curve with our words and soften our quill.
We are world siblings, showing solidarity through will.
Words that heal are like a prayer in times of sorrow.
They can pronounce our stories, comfort and burrow.

No time for silent pens, it's a time to rise and write.
In adversity, poetry stands tall like a gallant knight.
Poetic fingers express emotions through flowing ink,
forming rhymes and verses which influence minds to think.

Disunity is a plague, which feasts upon heinous hearts.
Unity paints a peaceful masterpiece of fine arts.

David Smith July 1, 2020 at 6:03 PM Poems like this can do more to heal with less side effects than drugs or alcohol. Poetry is a reminder to us of all that is noble in us. The reward is in the feedback the poet gets from how a particular poem has changed a life for the better. Poems can take both poet and reader out of some pretty dark places. The only danger is a diet of one type of poem or just one poet. Your collaboration with Pixie Dust illustrates my main points. Noble thoughts lead to noble actions from unmotivated people.
