Come What May

The steep waning of duskfall held by one Cuddled by a wheeze , the dim air’s pale light, Nestling upon boughs of memoirs undone As scenes rise mildly with an ached delight. Although fall plunges into my own depth, Giving way to chills of winter ,prolonged So must spring blossom with a fragrant breath For roam I must through peaks of Augusts’ song. And musings dip upon the faltering wings A blazed remembrance of seasons’ refrains; Snuffed by love’s risk, hardened from cold warning Oh time withers, breaks ...still I call your name. Hearts evade pleas, sweet moments gone astray That now I rest on a crib of old stars But such is life allowing what is the way; To gather new treasures...near or afar. The imagery is spectacularly original. That quality alone makes this poem remarkable, but then there is the message that is powerfully thought-provoking. Beautiful work, nette. Thanks for sharing this special gift. Hugs and Love.

Exceptional poem here. Once again your diction blows me away in poetic splendor. You pack so much into your poems that one finds something new to be blessed and awed by with each reread... Best of luck in the contest !!

Nettie, what a lovely well written poem analogous of "seasons" of life ending on a hopeful note of finding "new treasures near and far". I quite enjoyed the read. Love, Charlene

Judy, I really liked your poem "Come What May". I especially like when you said, "A blazed remembrance of love's refrain". The passage of time, the seasons coming and going, our loss of loved ones, life happening, I think you expressed it all in your poem. Very good poem. Celine Rose Mariotti

A lovely poem that I enjoyed . . . riding the rhythms of life. The sentence that is still ringing in my head is "Snuffed by love's risk . . . " words that I will chew on for awhile. Thank-you for a great poem. All the best.

Even if life can throw setbacks, we accept the challenge and let things be. This is a most profound and somehow nonchalant way of embracing life. So perfect, Nette!

" Giving way to chills of winter ,prolonged So must spring blossom with a fragrant breath" .Everything has some inner meaning, we must look into the core and essence of them and treasure their marvels/secrets. I am really thrilled by the imagery in "'I rest on a crib of old stars'". Fantastic nette. the cosmos is the crib. Some stars are waning, some are dead, neutron stars, black holes, baby universes, My!! It's one of a kind. Love, nette....RAJAT
