Those familiar faces of the days far bygone,
The curious, eager looks and the mind blank,
Sometimes, nay ,often haunt and then dawn
On one ,when casual life plays a wont prank ;
And capricious events and happenings drive
The credence ,faith and the sanity to deprive .
The tears in those little gleaming, narrowed eyes
Meant nothing, yet something of pain for sure ,
While the plain empty smiles beamed otherwise
Of retreat or return to the shell and to endure;
The feel of relieving content being just denied
To the little ones who morph as they are pined
To cry and groan till the wail stretches and yond,
And settle with the helpless sigh of exhaustion ;
With some toy or sign for a change ,or a fond
Apt relation to regain the realm of lost caution;
To self-console and revive ,the in drawn shy one
Transforms its own existence to keep up the run
Possessions and life secure centred in the core
Of fear infinite and abstract ,ever trying to aver
And to drive the hurt tender soul to slyly abhor ,
Not knowing the upright from the unjust fervour,
Picking up random values, seeking things sugary,
The stern phase of childhood slinks in to memory
A proud agnostic, but a bit fair,
Truth of truths to me once did aver—
A guy clear as blue sky,
If per chance a bit wry:
If I know not, no one knows either!
Agnostic sure an either or bird,
Milk gone sour as if turned into curd,
One that fakes two-way fun,
To me, all said and done
Be the bisexual of this odd world.

The clear pathless path to which we aver ~
Let God-centric focus never waver

Say it like it is
“Upon soul merging with The Creator ~
We require thereafter, no translator”

Whirring bliss currents pierce each in-form node
Void-centric presence frolics in the play
Spiritual Heart sings to God an ode
Music of the spheres hums, by night and day
Soma nectar drips, flowing as it likes
Our transmutation begins inside out
Unbound’s our delight, as magnetism spikes
Soul exults joy; we alone hear it’s shout
How may symbolic words describe this bliss
Boundaries blur as we become the flame
Caress divine is a lingering kiss
Give it any name but we’re not the same
The clear pathless path to which we aver ~
Let our God search focus never waver

Angels live in heaven, so I heard you all say,
as the pristine celestial beauty they ascend
like the sparkling stars in the far away milky way,
but I know on the mortal earth they often descend.
If you ask me how do I know, I would aver,
I have seen the radiance of my mother’s heart
as bright as adoring shine of a splendorous star,
suffusing me with love even destiny made us apart.
In troubled times when the family was adrift in unrest,
she toiled to settle down secured in a land unknown,
gave a precious gift to my rootless uncertain life, a nest,
from where I spread my wings in the sky and have flown.
I soared high under the caring cover of her weary wings,
my aspirations the wild winds couldn’t blow away.
I live in the shadow of her undying love, memory brings,
for it’s her hands that sculpted me what I am today.
She has left me for her new home a long time ago,
when in dismal night the glistening north star I see,
guiding me to my final destination, I then know,
she is the star, shining with angels in heaven for me.

Contest : A Mother's Love, Tributes Of Love For Mother's Day
Sponsored by : BJ Legros Kelley
CAUTIONARY COUPLETS
I hazard it has many times been said
That we have never lived if we’ve not bled
If you attest a life of no regret
I’ll wager you have never placed a bet
If in your time you never crash and burn
You miss an opportunity to learn
If you forever seek to others blame
Well they may seek to ever wipe your name
If you choose peace at all cost you may see
A subjugated life of tyranny
If love is all, in truth I promise that
With careful seasoning I’ll eat my hat
If you aver you never told a lie
I’ll guarantee the moon’s a pizza pie
If you contend you never commit sin
Then join this club of one, they’ll let you in
The widow still in her twenties and tender
Can an account of her glamour render:
Jesus Christ, just her temporary darling
She, sure to later catch a man with pounds sterling!
Hers is a prison with loosening chain
After six months:
The dotted with pains
And tolerable don’ts.
Even with the longest, a full year
Fully bounces back The Pearly Pear;
No deity to ever aver that she hadn’t tried fried
Over some three hundred and fifty four days somewhat fried
Soon, superbly ready for longish phone calls
And breathtaking male invitations to balls.
With the craziest text messages taking chances;
A perfection of forged frowns at desired advances…
A young widow wouldn’t too long wait by any window
And doesn’t too long indulge her gloomy shadow.
I am with this curse of aver falling in love with an implosione It hurts because you will never know
destiny put me in your life to love you unconditionally and irremediably
You don't think of me as I would like
That is the torture why it happened
Every day that damn is my luck
It has been a long time, suffering for the wrong people who cross my life but you do not know what I feel for you, of all my mistakes that I have made you are the only one that did not hurt me, the error was on my part to sound an impossible
And I'm still trying to catch you
Out of my head, of my heart
But it's very difficult when I think about you 24/7
This love day by day, close more
A drug is being made that my veins need to have that ecstasy that takes you to another galaxy
I can't fight that is stronger than my will. I just bury her at the bottom of my being. Hoping you can look at what I feel for you.
You are something unreachable
And now this love is just a curse because I only know what hurts to love you in silence
AWAKE!
Forebear I beg if I am found obtuse
Not turning from the indigent I see
Should I aver egregious a view
They be ascribed a sloth delirium
My comments here may seem not delicate
Yet if I choose travail to consecrate
Would you in intercession mediate
Bring those in need restored awakening
There is something wrong with me, I agree,
So now I try to figure what's wrong with the thing,
Is the thing wrong me or I wrong the thing,
If I wrong the thing yes blame on me,
So why the thing wrong with me and still point fingers at me,
You should find a way to control the thing,
it can be under the right thing,
And live happily aver after with something ,
neutral and balance with me.
THEIR GREATER SIN
They call one who speaks for Liberty a Fascist
They claim man made end of world as a proven tenet
And to them ‘free’ means imprimatur to ravish
Expressed with many a ‘You know’ ‘It’s like’ and ‘Ennit!’
They proclaim themselves as ‘liberal’ though they favour
The hard politics of socialism central
With a strong taste of Marx in its flavour
That just gives me an affliction in the ventral
Of dark villainy I now seek to accuse
And reserve a special torment to confer
Not for all the sins above from which I bruise
Nor self righteousness they constantly aver
It is the painful wounds for which there is no bandage
Their cruel destructive treatment of the English Language

Hither and thither and yon
Is a place where all cads belong
An internet tweet
Records their deceit
To haunt them their whole life long
NOTHING LASTS FOREVER
Hour glass sands surely slide
On time’s shoulder they ride
Change in certainty transient site
Like flipped grief and delight.
Your sun blazes hay day
Can’t keep cold night away
You fly on cloud nine
When it melts tears rain.
Turning wheels of time aver
Nothing on them is forever.

For 10 Lines, 5 Words :Rhyme II Contest
Sponsored by : Laura Loo.
Constrained by rhymes,
the writer of verse my well err
from the straight path like a hiker
to whose clothes things cling as would a burr,
like a tramp at whose heels
there slinks a dog that stinks.
From this well-thumbed rhyming dictionary,
you may infer
that inspiration needs the occasional prod.
How odd! Even to those who claim her as a friend
the Muse of poetry and verse sometimes has lips
as open as a miser`s purse.
O, say, in Heaven’s name, what gain
has even lain in the fact that the verb "to blur"
rhymes with a noun like "myrrh"?
Just for the merriment
try this experiment.
Say to the first person you meet on a bus.
"'Scuse me, Sir!" (or maybe "Lady"),
"Say, I pray, why fat cats so often purr."
Try this out, and you'll aver
that while sense and rhyme sometimes concur,
it is not invariably the case,
and would the world not be a duller place,
if - perish the thought - it were?
