Ardent Poems

Premium MemberBeautiful Our Ardent Dreams

Lay here my love, let us count the stars
and find ardent dreams of lovers
cast upon the galaxy of our wishes
found in a timeless realm of reverie
as we bathe in the ardor of our souls
seeking refuge from a lonely world
woven into the passing of time
by the pulsating heartbeats of love

He was my most ardent headshaker
Won’t work
Can’t work
You are too optimistic
Never been done

I could not imagine his life
No belief in what was possible
No faith in what could be
Such a sad life

But not mine to fix

Choirs Sang In Ardent Voice

In dawn's aura, mountains glistened with snow.
Rooster's crowing proclaimed the break of day.
December's frosty winds began to blow
as clouds shadowed a sullen shade of gray,
and serpentine ripples flowed on the bay.

Dimmed were rays of light from the sallow sun
when for a while its beams had gone astray.
Gusts of wind on this Christmas Eve were spun,
blustering and blowing grim clouds away.
'Twas time to celebrate Jesus' birthday.

Christmas morning folks gathered to rejoice.
for the Saviour born to erase sin's stain.
Choirs sang like angels in one ardent voice,
hymns honoring the infant in refrain.
Over God's Kingdom, His Son shall ere reign.

On that Holy Night, when stars were shining,
swaddled in His mother's arms was a child.
The world no more lay in error pining*
for God and sinners would be reconciled
through the Christ child's life so tender and mild.**

Darlings

As we breathed, we stood apart,

Rocks fall, our world crumbling...
I feel trapped like a conjuring charm...

Loving you is an existence...
Losing you is a solicitous ardent.

A prick in my breath is our amulet,
Inlet borders our souls, my starlet...

As we died, we stood in cahoots.

Premium MemberTo Her Ardent Mister

after To My Coy Mistress by Andrew Marvell

Had we but World enough and Time
Your mating call, sir, were no crime.
If lifetimes were more than a few
I’d spend an Age for each of you.

First with a Parisian lover
For a century I’d hover.
Then hot Latino macho boy
Will fill a few decades with joy.

Then I meander solo East
On diverse cultures I would feast.
When great adventures I’m done with
I’d meditate on what Life is.

For, Mister, I deserve such state
Not would I love at lower rate.
Then comes the quest for the best part -
To whom I shall invest my heart.

But, sir, you’re right, there is no time
To waste on matters less sublime.
I’d rather spend all years I have
On vast eternity of Love.

Your mortal fears I’d gladly spurn,
The grave would be my last concern.
About my pores with instant Fires?!
They’ll last a lifetime to transpire.

Into my coyness do not delve
Handle your ardour, sir, yourself!

Hey baby. A world of endless awaking moments. With just you.
Come on baby, under gold dust and black-velvet sky. With just you.

Hey baby. Wave of ember flames, passionate eyes so sensuous,
I can't get enough being tangled, bare, wondrous high. With just you.

Fluttering butterflies arouses lambent ardent love affair,
flowering within me, baby, a lull comfort cry. With just you.

Hey baby, I dream of balmy rhythm breathes, the dawns yet to come,
numb kisses, great love, piece of fragment world left awry. With just you.

I crave not just a dream, but a life of forever, never death.
Bathe in sun's hypnotic spell before it hurries by. With just you.

Adrift in a heartsome cloud,
Rejoicing, learning to love after
Deaf ears and saying good-bye.
Ecstatic journey loving an enigma.
Nestling comfortably within their bosom,
To its labyrinth fathom needs.

Supreme Entangled Ardent Couple

I desire to become a fridge, to freeze all sweet warm kisses.
Often release the treasure, and quiver again with pleasure..
With my conceited paramour, dreading his evanescence.

Premium MemberLost In My Ardent Dreams

Lost in my ardent dreams I bear alone
I'd leap into the warm arms of my love
Intimate were our kisses, each, our own,
While, love lulled sweet amorous feelings of
My love; where the rhythm that kept it above
All things. Reaching upon each dawn, last grain
Whisked away with the sudden cool light rain.
My sweethearts last breath I breathed his soul in.
I'm consumed with the mournful pain and drain
My pen bleeds to write what I feel within.

Righteous

Righteous
by Michael R. Burch

Come to me tonight
in the twilight, O, and the full moon rising,
spectral and ancient, will mutter a prayer.

Gather your hair
and pin it up, knowing
that I will release it a moment anon.

We are not one,
nor is there a scripture
to sanctify nights you might spend in my arms,

but the swarms
of bright stars revolving above us
revel tonight, the most ardent of lovers.

We Miss the Ardent Touch

The sparrows sing as if to draw me to
The present moment’s gravity and grace
Our contemplation of life’s nature new

What other attitude is worthwhile now
That I no longer see your loving face?
The sparrows sing as if to greet me too

Eden is still here, we miss the clues
We miss the ardent touch, the lost embrace
Our contemplation of the world renews

On my face, the tears are jeweled dew
In my body, I feel held, enclosed
The sparrows sing as if to greet me too

Now the blackbird sings as if on cue
Inside my swollen heart, I feel its grace
Contemplation of life’s nature new

I saw your soul in your transparent face.
And crisscrossed lines from struggle left their trace
The sparrows sing as if to draw us to
The contemplation of the wildness true,
