Best Ardent Poems
An ardent lover of words
Of his own is that world.
A crave stretching his soul
Dipping into a plethora of verse
Rising with a fulfilled thirst.
Unpredictable are his journeys
Unfathomable is the depth of his thoughts.
Unchained is his soul
Traveling along with the tune of his heart
The beauty of his mind.
An avid worshipper
Immersing his soul in a mine of gems
Rejoicing the blessings of a compassionate essence.
A heart of a poet
With a meticulous flair for fine art.
Knowledgeable reads
Dropping in relish
Into a haven of voracious insight
Rippling through a ravening mind.
A fervent passion for admiring
What a poet's pen of worth portrays.
A tremendous sense of reverence
Impressed on his fine heart
Upholding noble a value
To poet's endeavouring words
Pay tribute.
An ardent lover
A treasure of words
A heart of a poet
The reward!

In dawn's aura, mountains glistened with snow.
Rooster's crowing proclaimed the break of day.
December's frosty winds began to blow
as clouds shadowed a sullen shade of gray,
and serpentine ripples flowed on the bay.
Dimmed were rays of light from the sallow sun
when for a while its beams had gone astray.
Gusts of wind on this Christmas Eve were spun,
blustering and blowing grim clouds away.
'Twas time to celebrate Jesus' birthday.
Christmas morning folks gathered to rejoice.
for the Saviour born to erase sin's stain.
Choirs sang like angels in one ardent voice,
hymns honoring the infant in refrain.
Over God's Kingdom, His Son shall ere reign.
On that Holy Night, when stars were shining,
swaddled in His mother's arms was a child.
The world no more lay in error pining*
for God and sinners would be reconciled
through the Christ child's life so tender and mild.**

To eyes that see spiritually,
prayers at their most ardent
appear like random meteors
or lightening flashes,
ascending suddenly
amidst the myriad of points of light,
creations' more common invocations.
Burgeoning in sky as glitter dreams
or solemn supplications, and some
as fervent pleas from dangers' depths,
they rise and soar. . .
to the glorious celestial door.
Seraphs at the portals,
besieged by beautiful entreaties,
strive to answer each and every one,
but heaven's ways can be mysterious. . .
Ardent prayers unanswered
drift back down,
returned not to their supplicants,
but rather to earth's angels
clothed in flesh,
who prompted by the Spirit,
and at the time ordained,
help fulfill the Father's will.

While holding frail roses close to the breast,
I think of a dawn, so perfect and fair,
ardent with sunlight and warm on the crest
I watched from the window, you were recessed,
deep in thorn bushes, gold in your hair,
while holding frail roses close to the breast
You seemed like a child, barefoot, at best,
pulling a weed, as the breeze stirred the air,
ardent with sunlight and warm on the crest
You looked to the sky, your thoughts off somewhere,
as if you knew time was fragile, at best,
while holding frail roses close to the breast
I think you knew then, how moments, compressed
must fade like the rose, when autumn prepares,
ardent with sunlight and warm on the crest
I've learned through the years, how timeless and blessed
are keepsakes we hold, like roses, once pressed,
while holding frail roses close to my breast,
ardent with sunlight, and warm on the crest

Into an endless night utmost faith rings ever true
where ardent kisses live low under a paper moon
hearts stop and linger in unforeseen beauty of being
with anxious arms holding on to every loving beat
This is where I'll rest til our tomorrow's finally cease
this is where I'll be forever feeling young
alive in the crimson creases of your petals
enamored by a mere splendor of your sight
Floating away in a celestial ambrosia breeze
a pearlescent cloud taking the shape of love
a fragrant flower arising under the maple tree
no rush needed letting undue burdens fall free

after To My Coy Mistress by Andrew Marvell
Had we but World enough and Time
Your mating call, sir, were no crime.
If lifetimes were more than a few
I’d spend an Age for each of you.
First with a Parisian lover
For a century I’d hover.
Then hot Latino macho boy
Will fill a few decades with joy.
Then I meander solo East
On diverse cultures I would feast.
When great adventures I’m done with
I’d meditate on what Life is.
For, Mister, I deserve such state
Not would I love at lower rate.
Then comes the quest for the best part -
To whom I shall invest my heart.
But, sir, you’re right, there is no time
To waste on matters less sublime.
I’d rather spend all years I have
On vast eternity of Love.
Your mortal fears I’d gladly spurn,
The grave would be my last concern.
About my pores with instant Fires?!
They’ll last a lifetime to transpire.
Into my coyness do not delve
Handle your ardour, sir, yourself!

Welcoming flowers for you
Ever faithful ever sure
underneath an altered heart
Lies an ardent love
At night and during the day
Sweetly smiles enhance your face
Teaching me the way to love
Bound in pious vow

Lost in my ardent dreams I bear alone
I'd leap into the warm arms of my love
Intimate were our kisses, each, our own,
While, love lulled sweet amorous feelings of
My love; where the rhythm that kept it above
All things. Reaching upon each dawn, last grain
Whisked away with the sudden cool light rain.
My sweethearts last breath I breathed his soul in.
I'm consumed with the mournful pain and drain
My pen bleeds to write what I feel within.

In shadows now lies a forsaken desire,
Because of an accidental, reawakened memory
That my heart mired,
Which makes me feel shaken at hopeful, dire moments.
I'll let some memories burn in a blazing pyre,
So that I might atone bad desires,
Because my heart roams in broken pieces...
I require amends and atonement
Before I catch fire
And watch myself ablaze as it increases.
So, may I conspire against this fiery barrage
As I aspire for soothing relief
Before another blaze gets inspired?
Now with reasons, I will remain decent,
For I will confidently seek release,
Even if grief tries to overwhelm me.
I will cling to the belief of a possibly brighter tomorrow,
Because I want to be free;
So I will plea for a new morrow to spring...

You cannot let go, cannot forget
Everything in the night
However easy it may seem
Smother a star and stay beneath the eyelids
Smother too the bitter moon with a cloud
Ardent red, colour my silence
Ardent red, on a smile that died
Ardent red, to hide my pain
In the night I lose myself
With the night I forgive you
I hide you beneath the ribs that hurt
With the bitter moon
When everything I desire is ardent red
I don’t want to lose you to the world outside
Remain unchanged- unquenchable red

Adrift in a heartsome cloud,
Rejoicing, learning to love after
Deaf ears and saying good-bye.
Ecstatic journey loving an enigma.
Nestling comfortably within their bosom,
To its labyrinth fathom needs.

Acrostic
The future now seemed to be so dark and bleak
Why, always had she been one, in love, so weak
Always had she surrendered
Always had she adhered
Yet, it had come with no surprise
That, as from then, no more was she to be a prize
Even if, being a Goddess
She had been with beauty, blessed
Love had chosen not her side
Love had willed her to be as she wants to
That she needed no more to abide
That, now she was free to meet with the new
Heart broken, she had hidden her tears
Pain stricken, she had given in to her fears
Pretending to be stoic and strong
She had chosen to leave his throng
Now, away from the one whom she had loved for so long
She vowed to perform, always, for his sake, a sad love song
Even if such would never reach his soul
For around himself, he had built, a strong wall
One made of sensual pleasures
One made of quenched desires
One which included not her being
One which was for her, mortifying!
Still, she would love, even if in total solitude
She would love and she would keep herself prude
Her heart and soul was one so pure
In her abandoned love only did she feel so secure
Pray, she was also laden with hope
Should she someday need to forgive
To the building of a new tomorrow she would grope
For after all, being out of love did cause her to grieve
She believed in her lover's good intentions
She knew, in him, somehow, an angel slept
She would wait, in darkness, for both of their redemptions
Such, she knew would be, when Cupid's doze would be disrupt!
Meanwhile, she shall water the rose in her heart
The rose which had been a token of their love
The rose, whose tending remained a must
As it would be that which would keep her brave!
