Sing
praises
to
adore
God our King.
To Him
we’re
placed in
His Light by
His Saving Grace.
Say amen
waltz, wave
and
rejoice
joyfully!
For His
love
ever
reigns!

My boyfriend is
smoking hot.
I kid you not.
Under that hood
I understood
lay my destiny.
In the dark I
felt the spark
as we passed.
Love to last.

Pedestal Breaking

While I watch her, an adored jewel,
Flinging on with my old pal
She crashes from the pedestal,
Like a burst of glass
As love etches death on the alley.

Fallen

Never lie
That's what you preached
But your promises
We're hollow
You just left
Why
40 years later
You show up
Dying
Asking
For forgiveness
Why did you bother

My idol raced into the history books with record shattering feats,

but fell from dizzying heights, stripped of honours and respect.

I halted in my tracks, numb, disappointed and betrayed!

Mother says when he let me down,

I tore up the flowers from the neighbor’s garden.

I do not recall this, but his failing me

has left a lasting impression.

FALLEN

Pepped up for her wedding
Geared and went beyond my resources
Travelled miles on receipt of invite
She clung only to special few
Unapolegetically ignored and broken, I regretted going

Taken

Once a rhyming heartbeat,
glowing pearl of my eyes,
With betrayal of trust
was taken into tears of regret,
As cascades of intense passion,
evanesced never to rise.

I have fallen, fallen into sadness,
Why did you leave me, my beloved?
You were my hero but you drove too fast,
Since your death, I have fallen into poetry.

Fallen
By Curtis Johnson

While a young man, he achieved great measures of success. I rejoiced with him and his family; but when his failure was exposed, so quickly my happiness turned to grief.

Cj11282015 ( His name was Bob, my mentor. He failed from grace and left his wife for another woman. 30 words used in the contest, "Fallen in 25-30 Words"

Falsely Blinded

Igniting this blaze of longing
I cherished your moonglow,
And our kisses encouraged
My vulnerable heart to surge on---
But your mocking tone
 accidentally
 spilled;
“This is an impetuous rebound.”
