I have fallen, fallen into sadness,
Why did you leave me, my beloved?
You were my hero but you drove too fast,
     Since your death, I have fallen into poetry.

This made my heart hurt... so sorry for your loss. I too am finding comfort from life stuff in writing and especially poetry. 2nd line so incredibly raw... Congratulations on the contest. A 7!

CayCay, thank you for your compassionate comment, yes he did listen to my poetry, for hours and hours, he said he loved the sound of my voice while reading my poems, I write my sorrow Caycay, that is how I heal ~

Hmmm. More sadness pouring in on and flowing through a golden soul. You have the experience and desire to express your sadness with such real images. You also produce many. This is a talent I admire. A never ending stream. I am in a state of creativity shutdown. I may have an idea, but am too distracted to write. However, I am lucky to ponder some of these streams of sadness. Thank-you for being so true--it is so clear.
