Premium Member Untitled. Written on March 3, 2010. I am now 33 yrs.

I translated this from German to English. Which unfortunately makes it less elegant.

      To share my love,
nothing more painful can I imagine,
       than to tear my heart in two.

To be bound to someone eternally,
     but never fully belong to him
     There is neither yes nor no,
           just endless desire.

     To be betrayed, in the
     most cruel way, is not
       with the body, but
          with the heart.

 Chaos of emotions, Love and
 Suffering have never been closer to
each other.

                 How will this End, no
                 solution in sight
                 With pain and tears?
                       I don't know

         The obligation, to have to make a decision
          weighs heavily on my Shoulders

MY LORD*

Your face your eyes your smile
So deep so green so warm
Awoke                met mine           dear heart
In me that day a part

In me that day a part
This desire to kiss to hold
Always               your lips              to me
Remains             divine                 all mine

London collapses
trains, planes, and automobiles
trapped and flash-frozen emplace

Christmas lights still bright
If one ventured through the night
ghost carolers in the mews

hushed ether of morning
huddled guardian warriors, arms aligned
early call to prayer sounds the blood to chill
arrives the entry check point white linen under issued desert garb
a steely eyed airman quick witted and quicker with sidearm
all hell breaks loose and all age 30 years in one hot minute

The River Where You Lived In 2010

I, ashamed.
On my last trick
Feeling heartsick –
To conquer is selfish but brave.

Focus, feel peace.
Pinwheeling
Cling to the last thrilling –
Heart clutches and trembles and caves.

Spinning, reclaimed.
Hang on home harbor
Under ancient arbor –
The treasure that’s never repaid.

Refresh, release.
It’s a strange cycle
Paint me, pin me idle –
Tame me and ride with the waves.

Allergies 2010
Written: by “Britches”

Springtime pollen on zephyrs ride
It causes chills and makes me heave.
The torment caused I cannot hide
And from inside I dare not leave.

It makes eyes water and head to hurt
I wheeze, hark and frequently sneeze.
Then grab my inhaler for a quick squirt
There’s no enjoying a springtime breeze.

45 Years 2010

Life taxes my thoughts
My memory strains
to recall and record my days
As time passes on what I have done
The tides of time drift away
To repeat the process
But my memory holds firm
on my love  for you
And it strengthens each day
As I slowly age
The passion of life
and love are united
To wait for another day

Haibun 2017 - Images Me Feeding the Ducks Winter 2010-11

Haibun 2017 - Me Feeding The Ducks Winter 2010/11
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Feeding the hungry, ducks, geese, swans, moorhen, coot, and gulls. The image depicts me in the winter of 2010. I hasten to add that to this day I’m still feeding them, and other wild birds. All so, and sadly, much to other peoples disgust, the squirrels, and rats too. And although I have not observed them, wood mice, and probably voles too are visiting the feeding areas, picking up scraps. Of the gulls observed whilst feeding the ducks are, black headed, herring, lesser black-backed, and the not so common, common gull, I must add not ever all on the same day, black-headed are present every day often in huge numbers. Health and none rainy days permitting I shall continue feeding and supporting the local wildlife, and I hope everybody that is able to, does too.
Time almost seemed to stop
As the clouds crept motionless
    across the sky.
A wind swayed in the trees
As the music played.
There once was a man named Roland,
Mr Noland went off to Poland,
He lost all his stuff
And that was enough,
Let's feel bad for Roland Noland.
For Rachael - a Reposting From 2010
Earth of gray,
Something dreadful on the horizon looms.
There is no black and no white today,
Laws exist but justice is doomed.
Morality is labeled religion,
And must be separated from state,
Whose own religion is political correctness
And determining God's fate.
Oh heaven rain down on us,
We are tasting your tears.
Yes we've become that bad,
Confirming your fears,
That what has been done ,
is being done again,
Those lessons taught,
coming to naught.
Judges and laws make it legal,
to be rid of your innocent babes,
Under a symbol of the eagle,
God's loving justice betrayed.
Racheal you cry the tears,
that now only heaven supplies,
because ours have dried,
In the dust of our alibies.
Excuses and lies are linked,
As you and I know well,
The truth is all but extinct.
Truth is foreign to hell.
Oh heaven, look down on this world of gray.
Something dreadful is watching and looms.
Is there nothing left but to watch and pray,
While Rachael wails by the dumpster tombs?
Gates of Hell April 19 2010
Insanity is the essance,
that helps define my identity.
Open the flood gates to h*ll,
for a little peak into my reality.
Tortured by the vivid dreams,
racing through my mind.
Stuck in a trance, frozen in fear,
I feel so left behind.
Locked down with metal shoes,
chained against the wall.
Nowhere to turn, no options to take,
my turn to take the fall.
I look down there's nothing there,
but the fiery pits of hell.
The flames so bright they are blinding me,
as I hide behind my exterior shell.
Protected only for a moments peace,
to put my mind at rest.
Accepting that this is it for me,
I have definatly been put to the test.
A small glimps into my file,
tell me, "What do you see?"
Insanity, anger, sorrow and pain,
the true depths of me.
Christmas 2010
We
began
this year
with  hopes
and  promises
that our lives would
be touched with good
health, love, and happiness.
Through this time, some of us
have had to cope with pain, loss,
heartbreak, and tough times. I've seen
amazing people undertake challenging
situations and endure with the strength
they found within themselves. I saw people
get back on their feet to take the next step, and
others have grieved and have woken too see light
in a new day. There are those who have been our
crutch to lean on, our shoulder to cry on, the smiles
and hugs we rely on.....to go on. I pray that those who
seek, shall find; and those that give, will share their gifts.
May the envy and greed of a closed mind be redeemed by a
tolerant and receptive open heart. Together may we find that
every day we are given a chance to make a difference in, not only
ours, but in the lives of those around us. So, rest you merry gentle
people, allow heaven and nature to sing, enjoy the comfort that brings
you joy, and let there
be peace on
earth.
