Untitled. Written on March 3, 2010. I am now 33 yrs.

I translated this from German to English. Which unfortunately makes it less elegant.

      To share my love,
nothing more painful can I imagine,
than to tear my heart in two.

To be bound to someone eternally,
but never fully belong to him
There is neither yes nor no,
           just endless desire.

     To be betrayed, in the
     most cruel way, is not
       with the body, but
          with the heart.

 Chaos of emotions, Love and
Suffering have never been closer to
each other.

                 How will this End, no
                 solution in sight
                 With pain and tears?
                       I don't know

The obligation, to have to make a decision
          weighs heavily on my Shoulders

The intensity in this poem is striking. The contrast between physical betrayal and heart betrayal highlights a really profound kind of grief. The ending captures that sense of unresolved tension and limbo perfectly. I have walked in your shoes. - Chris

Superb, heartfelt poem. Indeed, betrayal is difficult to get over and yet it is best that we do.

This free-verse poem conveys the unbearable tension of divided love with striking honesty. Its fragmented spacing and uneven line lengths visually mirror the speaker’s emotional chaos, while images of a heart “torn in two” and betrayal “with the heart” give the pain a deeply personal, lasting weight. The final sense of obligation leaves the poem suspended in a poignant, unresolved sorrow.

Thank you for your interpretation, as always, it's an honor. 💕 I have made my choice: my way - I will follow my heart, Moana style. I need that lovely blue, musical Love Harmony. 🦋 Everything is going well, I hope.

Less elegant? Not really; it is a fountain of emotion elegantly escaping captivity. It is torment, an unleashed chariot racing headlong into a maelstrom of an aching heart. I thought well executed

Why, thank you for your kind words. As my English improves, I'll become more elegant (maybe) 🙏✨
