Lunch

I will order in just a minute.
If there’s grilled cheese, I want in on it.
Or maybe I could have some fries.
Which is on the menu to my surprise.
I enjoy a burger on some days.
But maybe not Mondays.
I want mustard on my shirt.
And guacamole on my skirt.
As long as I am full.
I don’t mind the messy toll.
I will order in just a second now.
This lemonade is already making me go “Wow!”
I asked what he recommended.
He says the fish is splendid.
In 15 minutes my order came out.
I wanted to see the delicious food he was talking about.
The fish was good, I took a bite.
But then I felt a new plight…
At the table next to me, a man ordered chicken.
I felt the plot start to thicken.
It looked so good, I wished for a bite.
I had to hold back with all my might.
As the man walked to the bathroom.
I felt sad in this dining room.
I snuck over and stole a little of his food.
It wasn’t much, so it wouldn’t ruin his mood.
But he came back to the table too fast.
I was chewing the chicken with his eyes overcast.
I told him the chicken was just ok.
But I’m glad I ordered the fish today.

The Importance of fitting nothing into your day

If you want your day to end on a productive note.
It may pay, to this poem about nothing take note,
In order to take away something of note.

A well planned nothing in your day,
Will help you make something of your day,
As doing nothing for 15 minutes minimum each day,
Could help you complete all tasks for the day,
As a mind that races through the day,
Seldom has a body to match the pace on any day,
With disasters and costly mistakes on the cards by the end of the day,
With either mind or body no longer present the next day.

Whereas a mind that can go blank once a day,
Will take the body with it all day,
And both mind and body will be in tune for another day.

So next time you are asked by the boss at work or at home,
 "what are you you doing"
You will be proud to say "nothing"
And the wise boss will just smile and say Nothing,
Knowing it will lead to something,
That is better than nothing.

39 Minutes

39 minutes
That is all that I have left
Before me
Not one minute more

I spent my life
Thinking time is precious
Time is fleeting
So I must hold on

But now I realize
It eludes my grasp
No matter how bitterly
I try to cling on

27 minutes
The clock is ticking
As if it was mocking me
For my imminent demise

My head is full and empty
Devoid of any thoughts
Yet all abuzz with noise
As I try to be composed

My hands are growing cold
My vision is blurred
My heartbeat weak
Yet my will to live strong

15 minutes
And what am I doing
But wasting it away
Like I wasted my life

Time only flows forward
Ever onward
Yet I stubbornly thought
I could be an exception

Perhaps it is cruelest
That I have to make peace
With my imminent death
Within precious last moments

3 minutes
Enough to fill a sandglass
With a lifetime's regrets

Broken Not Beaten

I didn’t want to go, to school today,
I wanted to stay, and keep the bullies at bay.
I’d walk to the gates, 15 minutes late,
On a different route, to the one of my mate.

My mummy said, that you need to go,
But why should I go, when I’m feeling so low.
The bullies would wait, before and after.
I’d be pushed to the floor, which would be followed by laughter.

I like to keep feelings, and thoughts to myself,
But I can’t any longer, to protect my mental health.
I need to tell mummy, what happened today,
That I need to be strong, and throw my worries away.

Bullies never win, there’s always a reason,
They’re always the same, whatever the season.
But I am strong, and will rise above the pain,
For it’s me who will shine, and friends I will gain.

Congress is in Session

When I’m watching the news these days,
I just can’t help but wonder why.
When all of the stories I see,
just makes me want to scream and cry.

They all claim to be an expert,
about how everything should be.
But the only thing reported,
is hate and negativity.

I know I ain’t the smartest man,
to ever shake a wooden stick.
When it comes to the government,
it really makes me so darn sick.

True, we can’t have a perfect world,
of that I’m pretty gosh darn sure.
When our choice on election day,
is between horse or cow manure.

One side says it’ll cost a quarter,
the other wants to spend a dime.
Can’t they just meet in the middle,
and save us all this wasted time.

No one can agree on nothing,
all they can do is poke and chide.
Argue about the simplest things,
even with those on their own side.

I know it should not bother me,
and it really should not matter.
But still, I just can’t help myself,
each time it just makes me sadder.

Seems like everyone nowadays,
wants their 15 minutes of fame.
Looks like the one way to get it,
is to find someone else to blame.

I Am On High Alert

I am asked for the access code that will expire 15 minutes after
behind the curtains
someone is nervously tapping their foot on the floor
creaking
I'm waiting in my imaginary world,
even though I haven't been for a long time
I created my reasons and opinions
if longing cannot create spaces in between
then who creates so much space between the suspension points..
with them it's all clear...
those who are healing will need
room to rest
if
their last words were not:
God, how do I step over this maze?!
maybe they still haven't decided which labyrinth would be preferred
in the place of greenery too many shadows been gathered
some walk in their hands
some walk in their heads
others walk in their soul
if I tell someone else the password of my imaginary
world,
after which ellipsis points
will got hit by the
REALITY?

Premium MemberNight Dreams

Dreams I have while sleeping
I sometimes wake up weeping
Maybe times past
They come at me so fast
Maybe times yet to see
All these things that may come to be.
Fire from the sky
Have no clue why
So many people sit and cry
Weapons of Mankind's construction
Releases so much destruction
15 minutes of a world making war
Can't see the sun no more
Death toll starts to soar
For years the sun will hide
Winter won't subside
So many die
Under the dead sky
What have we done
Covered the sun
And in the end ,nobody even won

Sad Boys In Class

We sat in class,
Doing nothing new,
As time passed,
Teacher is late! Finish the work due!

Waited there, waited for long,
And someone started tapping his desk,
We all started singing a song,
Our music, it was the best!

Oh wait, soon 15 minutes will pass,
And as the teacher is not here,
Boys BY LAW we can leave this class!
Boys stand up from your chairs!

Then we clapped, we clapped in joy!
And the teacher cam in the last second, so sad, so sad boys!

Human Toxicity

After injection, inhalation,or ingestion, the first symptoms to appear are muscle spasms. They appear very quickly after inhalation or injection within as few as five minutes and take somewhat longer to manifest after ingestion, typically approximately 15 minutes. With a high dose, the onset of respiratory failure and brain death can occur in 15 to 30 minutes. If a lower dose is ingested, other symptoms begin to develop, including seizures, cramping, stiffness, agitation and hypervigilance.Seizures caused by poisoning can start as early as 15 minutes after exposure and last 12–24 hours. They are often other adverse symptoms, including hyperthermia, rhabdomyolysis, myoglobinuric, kidney failure, metabolic acidosis, and respiratory acidosis. As poisoning progresses, tachycardia(rapid heart beat),hypertension(high blood pressure),tachypnea(rapid breathing), cyanosis(blue discoloration),diaphoresis(sweating),water-electrolyte imbalance, leukocytosis(high number of white blood cells),trismus(lockjaw),risus sardonicus (spasm of the facial muscles),and opisthotonus(dramatic spasm of the back muscles, causing arching of the back and neck)can occur.

Piece of Peace

*Piece of peace*

When it's a really tiring day,
When you have almost nothing to say,
What's to be done for an ease?
Just follow my way, of getting a piece of peace...

I closed my eyes and recollected,
The beautiful moments, in which I invested,
My short vacay with mom and dad,
A birthday surprise that made me glad...

Some fun hangouts with friends,
Many fun family gatherings which had no end...
Many endless funny talks..
Many more beautiful long walks...

I was mesmerized by my sweet past,
15 minutes, seemed somewhat lost...
When I opened my eyes, I realized..
How happily did I live my life....

It just refreshed me off, from the day
And again, I had nothing to say....
But now I had a smile on my face and my mind was at ease....
Coz I found myself, a piece of peace ?.....

Looking At Things

Looking at things

Walking on cobblestones is an ordeal
and more is the traffic, I look out of the window
when I walk on my treadmill count how many
cars going around the roundabout.
When I have counted 500, I stop this treadmill
15 minutes have gone by.
When I lived at the border of Alentejo I walked
on the soft grass and counted flowers
saw grass grow into fodder for sheep.
A Moldavian family bought my house, people
tell me how lucky I was selling the house
I had many offers but told no one, hence “lucky.”
My lyrical mine is all but dried up, now reduced
to write about furniture, a sad fall from grace.

Fury For the Masses Ii

It was always for the dyeing.
See the amazing
two headed asexual
gang of socialite housewives
revealed on prime time
for their anti-social media
love for handguns god N bubblegum.
Fury for the Masses.
The world is a stage
while the media is the ringmaster.
See the worker drone,
secretary, CEO of corporation greed go
militaristic and dispense
its own brand of prime time primal justice,
as gang banger teenager transient militant
Aspires for 15 minutes of fame,
Eternal shame
Each one a you tube star
or tick tock dance god
Each out for blood
out of time
out of work,
out for sex
out for violence
kill you for nothing
at all but because
it’s something to do
on a Saturday night
or the bank note you tote
drugs must flow
as the beat drops and grows
Fury for the Masses...
