Quotes

Quote Left "Steampunk is a brass-geared rebellion of imagination, where steam-powered dreams conquer the impossible. It's not just cogs and clockwork, but a conscious map exploring the tensions between progress and ethics, individuality and authority, humanity and nature—all through the lens of a reimagined past." -Daniel Henry Rodgers Quote Right

Quote Left "Come look amid the treacheries glorious of history and the riddles of time existence; deception hammers out its dominion silent. Yes, cloaked in words eloquent, veiled in reason hypnotic, waiting to be unmasked never." - Daniel Henry Rodgers Quote Right

Quote Left "Love isn’t some neat little garden all pruned and predictable. It’s wild maybe crazy, messy, untamed, stubborn. It takes root in the strangest of places. It weathers storms and keeps on stretching, even when the world says it shouldn’t. This—this is that kind of love. My kind of love," - Daniel Henry Rodgers Quote Right

Quote Left "Our lies can claim the moment, I say truth owns the future standing firm like a mountain against the tide. Deceit can paint a picture for a while, I say only truth can reveal the masterpiece beneath. The truth doesn’t demand our belief, I say it exists whether we choose to see it or not." - Daniel Henry Rodgers Quote Right

Quote Left The existence of God is the most satisfying response to the longing of the human heart, the quest of the human mind, and the aspiration of the human soul. Without God, there is no reason to believe that we have a destiny, that we have a purpose, or that we have a hope. God is the most reasonable inference from the evidence of design, order, and purpose in nature. Without God, there is no reason to believe that the universe is intelligible, that life is meaningful, or that beauty is real. Quote Right

Quote Left The existence of God is neither provable nor disprovable by science but only by personal experience. Science can only describe the natural world, but not the supernatural one. God is the source and the end of all existence, the ultimate mystery and the ultimate meaning. Quote Right

Quote Left "Thoughts are like clouds, constantly drifting and changing shape, but occasionally revealing glimpses of the divine in their fleeting forms." Quote Right

Quote Left "Existence is a symphony, where every life is a note, and the universe is the grand conductor, weaving the melody of creation." Quote Right

Biography

Growing up on the farmlands outside of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, I learned to appreciate the beauty and simplicity of nature. I also discovered my passion for reading; starting with comic books and moving on to classics, I excelled in music, English, and history classes at Fairfield, a small farm town school. My high school English teacher saw my potential as a poet and encouraged me to write more poems.

After finishing high school, I enlisted in the Army and served for three years. During that time, I taught myself how to play the guitar, which became one of my lifelong passions. After leaving the Army, I pursued my musical education at college and met my future wife, who became my muse and inspiration. We have been married for 43 years, and she has cherished every poem I ever wrote for her. I write her poems for every occasion: her birthday, our anniversaries, Christmas, and more.

I continued my education and earned Masters Degrees in Music, Counseling Psychology, and Business. I currently manage several counseling offices for a large firm, where I use my skills and compassion to help people with their mental health, substance abuse, trauma, and well-being. Another passion of mine is philosophy, and I enjoy writing posts and poetry around philosophical insights. I try to make them interesting, insightful, and deep. I also write about theological ideas, love, and faith as a Christian.

My family enriches my life: three married daughters, three sons-in-law, and three granddaughters. I write about growing up, married life, fatherhood, and grandfatherhood. And yes, I also write songs in poetic format and have composed musical pieces over the years.

You could say that my life is a symphony of words, music, and love, where God is the conductor, and my family is the orchestra. Now, as a Haiku (one of my favorite genres):

Words, music, and love,
God directs, our family plays,
My Life's Symphony.
