Prolegomena Soliloquy - Pt 2

I have measured the math of a mustard seed,
     traced the geometry of origin,
     the angles of mercy,
run fingers over the ridges of history
     and found Him—

in carbon’s conspiracy,
     in gravity’s governance,
in Fibonacci’s stubborn insistence on beauty.

Do you not see—
     faith is not blind;
it is sight through the fog,
     a reaching…

And now—
see yourself.

The burden you carried like iron mail
     slides from your shoulders
as if it was never meant to stay.

Your hands tremble.
Your lips part.

And through the crack in your voice,
You say—

     *"I was wrong."*

A new day dawns…

Daniel, your piece (parts 1 and 2, of course) is profound—brimming with philosophical depth, poetic elegance, and a relentless search for meaning. There is something undeniably stirring about the way you frame choice, free will, and redemption—not as dry theology, but as lived reality. So much enjoyed the read and thought. Great to have a new poetry friend, Daniel.

Earthly affairs requires knowledge which is often a masquerade of ideas, thus earth requires visible faith. Spiritual ideas are beyond our understanding. So faith must be blind. My opinion, of course.

Powerful and cutting- and it ends, but in hope, so according to you- it never does end. Really enjoyed reading your dialogues.

Daniel, from this work it's clear you have a noble soul. I love how you are such a vibrant giving person. How lucky all of us are to be in a brief but warm shared space. We'll certainly hang in as long as we can and do good while we're able. It means a lot.

Dearest Daniel, I am deeply touched by the images and poetic artistry of each line leading up to the simple earth shattering revelation of a soul taking on the cloak of humility. There is no judgement in your eloquence only an example of a pilgrim's journey into humility, lowliness. This is poem is truly wonderful! Thank you for taking me on your journey. Sending you an abundance of blessings for Holy Week and a glorious Easter season for, after all, Easter is just the beginning my friend as we walk Jericho road to the Resurrection!

Dear Daniel, my dear friend, wow, your poem is a masterpiece that touches the soul. "faith is not blind;it is sight through the fog" resonates deeply. The final moment of realization "I was wrong." is very powerful. "A new day dawns…" ending the poem beautifully. Best, Anne.

Daniel, your questions are certainly worthy of a prolegomena, but if it's a soliloquy, I'm glad I got to listen in. On our journey through life, the road can turn and leave us doubting our faith. There's the mustard seed, but it needs fertile soil in which to take root. Even if it does, things happen that cause belief to wither.

Dearest Lin, Wow. Just... wow. Reading your comments honestly brought tears to my eyes. Thank you, truly, from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to sit with my poem and share such incredibly thoughtful, beautiful words. You calling my questions worthy of a "prolegomena" made me chuckle, but seriously, it means so much that you saw the depth I was grappling with. And please know, it wasn't just a soliloquy I wanted you to hear. Your thoughts are never just 'listening in' – they're part of the conversation I value most. Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

There are no formulas that explain why we do things as you mentioned, and there is no fortress that can shield us from hurt. Who was laid to rest in the empty tomb as a beaten man was raised to His Father's Kingdom... only on the faith that it was written by the hands of men, through the Word of God. The world is groaning under the weight of darkness.

I dare not try to answer your plethora of inquiries, for I am not a sage, and know better than to rebuke the wind. I dream, I love, and I cry for I am a faulty human who agrees that faith is not blind. With eyes that see beyond what is visible, I am imperfect, but I can see wisdom in being able to say, "I was wrong." Those words lift the albatross from my shoulders as I welcome every dawn. An epic write in two parts, Daniel.
