IN THESE CLOUDY TIMES

Today’s apathy
Must be washed away from us:
Come, God, let zeal rain:-

Service Zeal

As every cassock is enough to tell
You are a minister
Either a chorister or a pastor
To grace well and impel
Is seeing you become only God's toastmaker

Every sunset gives us one day less to live
Count your seeds of the spirit
Spread through undaunted love
And not the course of service's bigot
But testimonies of brethren who enjoy your patency

But every sunrise give us one day more to hope
Most time making all observations dumbstruck
Replying each and every with a thunderstruck
It is no near to count a botch
If its effects work like a troche

Hope for the best for we are all human
Flaws are inevitable but can be abandon
No one has ever achieve chancery with God
That has ever live on earth a slipshod being
But clinching His dictates can make you ratherish well-bred

Good Luck
Get strong
Beefing do suck
Flee off wrong
It gets growth abating

Be the David's type Shepherd
Familiar with the said story
Not needed to be re-established
Failure needs no sorry
Be up and doing...

Premium Member Heaven Is For Real

They say heaven is for real,
that is really a great deal.
I will get to see you,
I am happy not blue.
I am filled with much love and zeal.

Klepto

After all these years
it's my belief
based on experience
time is a thief
all wounds it heals
they say but in truth
it took my looks
purloined my zeal
and stole my youth
no matter the cost
come what may
I'm at a loss
what can I expect today
a past that won't last
or linger longer any more
and with or without me
life goes on as before
when at large guilty as charged
stealing's a sin nicking a crime
to make it stick it admits as shown
it's known as 'the nick of time'

Premium Member GRATITUDE ZEAL

With gratitude zeal from the heart
Exuding worshipful bliss
My soul praises the Almighty
Revived by the Holy Ghost
While faith does gaze yon firmament
Vanquishing doubts that bombard hope…

Directed toward caring kindness-route
Thankful* spirit keeps on radiating exuberance
Moved by the Lord’s tender mercy
To overcome apathetic arrogance
Smiting cold dealings...

Reverberating heavenly triumph
While optimizing reaching-out fulfillment
Grateful life creates poems spontaneously with vibrant mirth
Exalting the Creator Who warms grace, joy, and peace for sharing glow.

*1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Wisdom for Officials Who Worry

(Wisdom is not enough to calm your fears.)
Two apostles, Peter and John
jailed at the dawn of preaching in Christ's name.
Officials' onslaught is meant to bring shame.

"We obey God, rather than men,"
bold answer given by Peter and John.
God-driven, with fervor, their deed was done.

The Sanhedrin felt fearful, scorned.
"You have been warned!" their supervening threat,
Thus sworn, their ensuing revenge is set.

Hear Gamaliel's wise advice
He is quite precise. "Their words can not fail
if their deeds suffice, God’s strength will prevail.”

"Leave them alone and let us go;
In time we’ll know which one of us is wrong
It’s not for show their zeal comes on so strong."

Premium Member A Zeal for Dawn

Written: January 29, 2025, for contest Sponsored by: Brian Strand

                                    ~~~~~~~~~~~
Wild is the dawn, clad in lace and slight sheen.
The deep rose taste sends a dash of sweet zeal.
The love grasp, soaked in the swell of space song.
"Tien forms a series of 3 sentences of ten words of one syllable, with a title inspired by Chidlock Tichborne and created by Poet Brian Strand"
Deal
We had a deal
And I cooperated with zeal;
Thinking it was real.
You gave me no dime,
Yet you stole my precious time;
This I read like a rhyme
Or even if you paid me,
That was little, very little;
I could not with it fill my tea kettle.
I gave you trust and loyalty
But you gave me distrust and disloyalty;
My commitment you rewarded out of inequity.
At heart I held you as myself
But you treated me like your chef
Meats stewed in a greedy pot while you did jeff.
Why then did we have the deal,
When to have everything is your meal,
That I struggle today because of your selfish will?
Disappointed!
I wish to be anointed
To discern deals flouted.
Proceed my child, proceed
Proceed, my child proceed
With a smile on your face
With positivity and grace
With compassion in your heart
Proceed, my child proceed
With strength in your mind
leaving weakness behind
With stars in your eyes
Proceed, my child proceed
With progress as your aim
All the hardship you can tame
With determination and zeal
Proceed, my child, proceed
I must plunge into the seafloor.
Out into the abyss of water and starry sky.
I utterly crave a lofty vessel. As waves roll ashore,
And the insight of the stars from high.
The wind symphony and the vortex spin
Yet the pearl sail is shaking within.
A murky haze veils the ocean's surface.
And the onset of a dismal dawn stirs us.
I must plunge into the seafloor.
Owing to the beckoning of an ebbing wave,
An erratic and yet obvious call before.
That might not be waived.
I'd settle for a breezy day.
As cotton clouds glide across the sky.
Sputtering fog and billowing spume
And the squawking of seabirds, I presume.
I must plunge into the seafloor.
Onward to the wandering gypsy life.
Trillions of years elapsed, and it is still pure.
Where the wind acts as a sharpened knife
The only thing I require is an ascetic tale.
Expressed humorously by a gypsy peer.
Restful sleep and lovely dreams prevail.
Finished the drawn-out mystical cheer.
There once was a banana with zeal
Who loved to show off with great appeal
With a peel on the ground
It slipped, oh how it found
A rib breaking, a painful ordeal
