Smiling made her tired
I feared a frown was all
she could spare.
More than same than
different
what would
 cause a person
to ask
Might she labor to
 have discussion
one might think
 she was  making
him feel specials.
Yet to warn those
who didn't know her well
those who knew
 her first would warn
When she makes you feel as if
you are number one
her first

Autumnal Woe

The bleak sky
begins its heavenly cry
as loose leaves burrow
in the marsh. 

Pour another cup,
fill it with my lust for
choosing rain. 

Sunken branches sway, 
the wind breaks their trust.

When a woman I yearned for would not return my emotion,
