No 'Partly Witchy' Tonight

The frost on the pumpkin has yet to appear In the forecast no 'partly witchy' tonight Though goblins and ghosts decorate lawns Thoughts of Halloween (still) seem to be yawns Yet today a jet-black cat crossed my path And a crack in the sidewalk caused me to stumble But it's just too darn hot for this stuff... Do the math At 85 degrees angry bees can still bumble

Love that last line, Gershon. (Not that the rest isn’t smashing). There’s got to a nursery rhyme about a bumbling bee… if there isn’t, there should be. Terry

Witty poetry, Gershon. I like the way you sneek in a twist. :-) Bill

Some cultures think it is bad luck if a black cat crosses their path others think it good luck I believe it's good luck but c'est la vie but as Asterix feared perhaps the sky will fall on our heads. Blessings and hugs Jennifer . Maybe it was lucky that you only stumbled and didn't fall. Blessings and hugs Gershon Jennifer

Absolutely lucky. A fall in Fall for a 1/2 fallen soldier like me can be deadly! Hope you continue to feel better and better, Jennifer!

Brrrr. Chilly down into the 30's tomorrow night here in Chicago. Then it'll bounce back up. How many bounces are left in the mercury is the question! Ta, ta! :) gw
