unintended innuendo

Season of violet grief
A day of navy oaths
The weather a dim pink hush—
ghosts of past, my muse.

I accidentally wrote a letter
scrawled on pale paper—
Guess, my June, what spills forth
when your blade slips through—
—not me, the envelope.

Perhaps a carol, yes—
or an oration (how proud I was!)—
or—
no, not that—
—perhaps just a thin red thread,
words sealed in failing breath.
Ruins of
all I dared offer.

Don’t blame me, love—
and oh, don’t fear me,
for all is said
as the letter burns—
in its pyre of regret.

Do we have to look the same
to support each other?

Do we need a hive of ‘groupthink ‘
to support each other?

Do we have to weather a storm
to support each other?

Do we need to be moving far away
to support each other?

Do we have to already be dead
to support each other?

I have thought about this often,
I’m at a cliff’s edge with a white towel.

Do I have to hit the icy water,
nose dive with nothing more to offer?

Does everything have to end up over?
I have given everything I had.

Premium Memberivory flakes

elephant tusks
harvested for ivory towers
truncate the wisdom of time

blizzards hail snow flakes
weather a storm or two
before they melt into memories

Babylon refutes Jericho
an eye for an eye
that money can’t buy

Rosetta’s stone
gives a clue to incomprehension
and sometimes the monolith
takes on new meaning
when frosty crystals meet
eternity in shining armour

Midas touches mammon and greed
blistering peeling forms scabs
on lost conscience and souls

the snow flake melts
because it knows about destiny
eventually ivory decomposes
once humanity has died

The Magical Nature

How much time will you be in room?
Please come, play with us and bloom
Behind the bars, there's a chirping bird,
Sleeping still, have you not heard?

The gentle air through the breeze,
Occuring from moving of trees
Forests looking beautiful by its blow
"Hey You, focus it's showing its glow".

Everybody likes the rain,
And go for a dance on the plain
It fills the ponds and rivers with cheer
Making the weather a little quiver.

So let's go and break the boundary,
Leaving behind each doubt and quandary
With courage and fears and spirit wild,
Will face each challenge calm and mild.

What Is a Women

A women can bare a child while a good man stand's by her side,
A women can reach into the soul of a man and change his mind.

The difference between a man and a women is their kind,
Kind, is the difference that makes them different.

The confusion of not knowing the difference it is caused by mankind,
Some men have long hair and so do some women that’s fine.

A true women loves with the heart where a man loves because of a women,
To place a man and women as one only causes confusion.

Weather a man or a women you cannot discriminate or separate,
The feelings a man or a women have for each other is to dedicate.

A life without one or the other therefore to raise a family together is,
Impossible, without a man and women to procreate a young child.

Therefore leaving the earth without mankind.

Song of Spring Rain

people we pass get lost in scenes
shadowed by clouds endless dreams

outside conversations with rain
a cold april day again

spring brings another time
another rhythm another rhyme

puddles from on streets
water comes down in sheets

shadows of clouds veil
falling from the heavens a touch of hail

in every ending a time to begin
a change of weather a song in the wind

Is God good, and all loving – Yes!
Did God create a world, where, in
order to survive, the lion must
tear apart the lamb – or, subject
to the weather, a child, by a tornado
is torn from his mother's arms, lifted
away never to be seen again – Think!
We are co-creators. What do you want
for your children? Do you want them
to be as good as you? To have as much
as you? Of course not! You want them to
be better, and have far more abundance.
                         There will be no
paradise for us in heaven, until we
make of this earth an eternal, blessed
kingdom – Free Will has far less to
do with making choices...and far more
to do, with the power to will into creation,
both good and evil – may we choose together
wisely. For we are one in the Body of God.

SYRACUSE DEPARTURE

Twelve degrees at seven AM
and the weather a sharp bitter
force off Lake Ontario
The daybreak is luminescent
gray, the bright star rising, the
cloud cover glowing like the
opalescent door to the mysterious
power source of some
Jules Verne wonder
Passengers board
Instructions are given
Men and machines withdraw like
medics now useless to a resurgent
warrior
On runway twenty-eight / ten she
turns into the wind
Bright light splits the clouds
The big fan jets roar and her
man-made mean heat makes her
airborne and silver, crashing through
the morning, banking east above the
city, screaming toward the sun

Analytical Warrior

Sin where is it from?, where did it begin

Perhaps not with your enemy but maybe your friend

How many judges will let you decide

Weather a window allows in the sun or blocks out the lite

If its the answer that you think need

Then find our books from which we read

don’t mind the titles, some are wrong

Just locate the page and try to follow along

Their are procedures to deciphering sin

If you don’t understand then please just pretend

Eventually you will have to know

That not every answer is the same where you go

Spring Frost

Spring Frost is here,
I look out the window.

Snow seldom guests in Spring,
The gentle snow appears on the branches of the local trees.

The spruce and pines are touched with snow,
A beauty to behold, God's paintbrush guested.

The environment transcends to a Christmas postcard,
Santa and the reindeer came and went.

I could picture the Christmas tree in the living-room,
Like Christmas in March.

Somehow the frost is a friend and comfort,
When the cool weather is still here.

The beauty of nature continues to astound me,
Beautiful to look at and beautiful to see.

A frosty day viewed through the large window,
Good day to stay at home and keep warm.

Dressed for the weather a toque and warm coat,
Careful walk outside to view the beautiful scenery.

God continues to bless us,
I am truly thankful for these days and nights.

Premium MemberIs the Weather a Joke

Ninety-four degrees today!
September 15th, 2019.
Come on. What kind of joke is this?

The Chiefs will be playing football in August weather.
Sweat running down their backs, wet hair, uncomfortable.
Slamming into each other and getting hurt, less fun.

Our climate is changing so rapidly.
Kansas can grow crepe myrtles now.
They are flourishing here.

Alligators and manatees will be next.
Swamps and waterways.
Speedboats and orange groves.

At least my house value will probably go up
Unless the alligators find the marsh next to us
Before the manatees do.

It's another year, hope it's a good one
And it brings you happiness and good fortune
With friends galore
Like days of yore
With winter weather a whole lot shorter

Lobber Lobber

it seemed right
at times it caused
others to seem
as they were
right in wrong places
or wrong in right places.
what ever it was or is
whatever it could have been
they acted as they were characters
in the drama of our togetherness
some acted as if our togetherness
was essential to their happiness
and well- being, these times
are spent separating
those some found less favorably or
unattractive
or they had positioned their
selves against for reasons
that are dictated thru religious policies
policies that determine
weather a person marries or not
within his or her faith.
lesser appreciated from the charms of
others
that they might be made into Satan's.

Time Warp

I looked at my watch and it was quarter to three.
you were on your back where you wanted to be,
I had to wake you from your dreams, game changer,
there was Tonto but you settled for the Lone Ranger.

I looked at my watch and it was quarter to four,
you were dressed and heading towards the door,
I had to weather a storm, one which you might empower,
there was a slam and I was left in my ivory tower.

I looked at my watch and it was quarter to five,
you came back and like Daley, my spirits took a dive,
I had to admit that I didnt love you as often as I should,
there was a 'buck - up' needed, otherwise someone else would.

Time stood still, your hands went neither forward nor back,
you wound me up - reminded me of all the things I lack.
