Premium MemberThe Consequences of Stealing

When you steal, it’s more than an object you take—
You sever a thread in the soul you forsake.
That bracelet? A gift from a mother now gone.
That wallet? A dream that someone leaned on.

Behind every item lies a story untold,
A piece of a life that was cherished and bold.
To you it’s just something—cheap, small, or fast,
But to them it’s a moment that never comes back.

You may not hear the silent cry,
Or see the look in their searching eye.
But a wound is made, silent and wide,
And something pure begins to die inside.

In taking what’s not yours to claim,
You tarnish your truth, you darken your name.
A flame within flickers low and cold,
And down a darker path, you’re pulled.

Yet there’s a choice before that fall—
To rise, to grow, to heed the call.
Learn the worth of honest trade,
And let your light shine undismayed.

Respect what’s theirs, find your own way.
Stealing may take, but it won’t ever pay.

Premium MemberLove at Eight

I waited and I waited just in case she’d been delayed
I stood there feeling foolish, though I acted undismayed
A movie and some popcorn might have won her pretty smile
And I was very keen and so I waited quite a while

Perhaps she didn’t like the fact I had a missing tooth
I’d heard another one would grow and hoped that was the truth
I hoped to tell Jemima of the money that I’d found…
“Hid my tooth under my pillow and it turned into a pound.”

Jemima, as my girlfriend wasn’t stretching much belief
I didn’t have much money, but I had a lot teeth
Losing one seemed scary, but the outcome could be great
Because, you see, the tooth fairy was paying for our date

But then I felt a flutter as Jemima said “Hello.”
She covered up her mouth and said, “There’s something you should know,
I’ve also lost a tooth and now I’m ugly as a witch.”
I said, “And I’m a warlock but, with all these teeth, we’re rich.”

Bold-Lit Lamp

Bold-lit lamp, rained on, snowed on
Undaunted; undismayed.
Even of tree's fleshy torn strips
What is splattered for leaf.

Constant standing in one place
With this one fixed purpose;
Courage, nights! Which clear heart-way
Steadies as smooths beneath.

Be Most Afraid

We should all be most afraid
Since they’ve abolished Roe v. Wade
For legislators won’t be swayed
Despite the nation’s ire.

Women feel we’ve been betrayed
By those whose actions have displayed
A heartlessness that will pervade
With consequences dire.

If attention had been paid
Some reason might have helped persuade
The justices that they have made
A move that will require

An all-out battle, a crusade
Of women who’ll be undismayed
Expressing rage that will not fade,
Our uteri on fire.

Think Big, Worry Less

The day hath appeared as all creatures met,
they hath parted themselves by groups of twos,
as they slid, crawled, march, flew without a sweat,
onboard the welcomed vessel of hope cruise.

Arranged by alphabets all unafraid,
like the two ants who hath boarded the ark,
both fully aware but were undismayed,
with namely, Mr. & Mrs. Aardvark.

Nickname is their telltale like their diet,
ants knew the alligators follows them,
thereon, anacondas slide while quiet,
the ark, passengers all tight as a drum.

Yet small, they lift multiple times their weight,
ratios, alphas help, those ants ARE great!

Premium MemberJabb Her Vaccsee

'Twas slightly scary in terms doctors know
did nurses nimble who would pass this way.
Prickly plied do glories go
so soon alas undismayed.

Long time in fact she thought
jabbed her vaccsees as she fought.
Needling here high 'n low
ends to this virus she so sought.

Come flee false harms some speakers sent
ner fears those thinnius wackovaccs.
Lest all hear harms we will allay
to get her heartfelt heathland back.

'Twas slightly scary in terms doctors know
did nurses nimble who would pass this way.
Prickly plied do glories go
so soon alas undismayed.

Abc Poem: a To Z of Life

After all was said and done
Before I’d reached a clear conclusion
Could It ever be the same
Down the years of trial and error
Estimation of the future
For the best determination
Going over and again
Heading nowhere so it seemed
I should know by now much better
Jeopardy is never distant
Killing time is not the answer
Living life not in the present
Makes no sense to blame another
Never taking a decision
Only makes for consequences
Postulated not by me
Quite opaque the future seemed
Reason lost in the confusion
Still it never is too late
To pick up the shards of life
Undismayed by past disasters
Vesting promise in the future
Wing and prayer the mode of travel
Xerox me with better answers
Yield them for consideration
Zest of life the validation

Premium MemberPrelude To Winter

Trees dance while autumn sweeps the day

until the music fades

but when boughs brood beneath the snow

to rest in winter's shade,

each naked limb sleeps undismayed

Addled

This that addles the brain
is not of opium or some such stuff
It has a special recipe :
Stardust and cuckoo eggs
slowcooked in the bile that rose in Cain
flavored with Phoenician almonds
chilled in the eyes of the subSaharan mom
holding close her starving child in vain

So that one grazing lazily
undismayed by slaughter to right and left
dreams of chewing the cud at end of day
When the prattle of pompous priests is done
and once again
one readies eagerly for futile dreams
in unending rain

In Quest of Love

I slide along the edge of the stream,
Crossing the narrow road leading to it,
Search in the depth of the fussed ocean,
To find the portion reserved for me.

I wander throughout the space,
Tracking the silvery, sparkled stars;
Conspicuously, I've been so exhausted,
My naive heart chose not to surrender!

I interrogate the reflective could,
It points me to the house of obscurity,
I hasten to go to the peaceful spot,
There was not even the shadow of it!

I had even walked out of boundaries,
To know whether which direction it took,
I crapped out an fell on the wrong road.
I, however, was hopeful and undismayed!

Lastly, a quiescent mind appealing me,
Thus, my heart plunges under the ocean,
To strike out the accuracy of the true love,
Meanwhile, I still hope that it will discern it!
