Caught unaware

I wasn't expecting the oleander tree this morning
You seized the chance of my being unaware 
The flute, however, didn't falter in its whistling 
Shedding all clouds, the sky became bare

In the eyes of society, the poet is dead, and the only one unaware is the poet himself

In the eyes of society, the poet is dead, and the only one unaware is the poet himself,
Because his vanity binds him to verses like an invisible thread, a thread of destiny,
He writes his words on the sky of memories, unaware that they are merely shadows,
Shadows of a changed reality, where poetry no longer sings

Unaware; 

You are the ocean, the earth, the sky,.

And I a ship in the bottle
Never to touch the water;

A bird that cannot fly,
Will never know the touch of sky.

A wind that cannot lay upon the earth,
Caresses only memories of birth.

Unaware; 

You are the Space that holds it all.
Each moment of Time, Upon your Breath;

Until 

You have haunted the garden of my thoughts, unaware of the endless conversations

About sea butterflies and flights mingled with white, forgetful snows.
I wove you into the celestial tapestries, you were my astral laboratory of dreams,
A solar vagabond returning from a dark night to caress the dawn once more.
In profound silence, I have tried to paint

HAPPILY UNAWARE WE ARE

driving with no care in the world
watching her sleep soundly until we get there
i feel Bountifully Blessed Right Here
i am wondering what i did right to deserve her
those who know me know that i am an acquired taste
i get emotional and Give Thanks to The Father above the blue skies

I know it's not funny

What it is rather in fact

It's criminally sad

That someone in the first place

Could become or ever be

So full of their own self importance

Or so selfish and totally unaware

Let alone give a damn or care

To think so highly of themselves

That they didn't even realize

What they were or are

Why am I always ‘just a friend’?
This is the question that bothers me most.
I know I am liked, as I’m there when I am needed,
But when all is ok, it’s as if I’m a ghost.

I will listen to your worries and give out sound advice.

It crept in with the peaceful night,
Slipping softly into troubled dreams,
Unaware of our desperate plight.

A friendly smile, the flag held tight,
Neighbors watch as we move about,

Hatred rose and claims put forth,

Choices dismantled, still we made our fight,

Of its impermanence
Learning not, through Joy's hold on each
Slid-by minute's sky-reach
With their bubble play and ball games
Boys and girls the air fill.
Therefore what else could they be
But careless, fretless. Agree?

She Is Unaware

colors galore
came from her magic pen
in paisleys and plaids
kaleidoscope of prints and fashions.

she was unaware
just throwing things onto a page
not seeing the magic others saw
it was the beauty of what kept her poems honest

she flavored many reader's days
And sometimes their weeks,
without ever realizing the glory of her words,
how mystical her pen was or how talented

Worlds Within Worlds

The shag splinters the skin beneath the arch of nothing there
          Fibers so tiny drenched in the ink written out in despair

          The smell of stains way beneath never escapes the vine
     

Mr Freeze

We were fighting over Mr Freeze pops 
whilst grandpa was being cleaned for the coffin.

Angel Unaware

I saw an old man sitting by the road
His coat was torn, and his cap was low
It was clear he had no place to go
Life had given him too heavy a load.

I thought to stop and offer to share
To make his life a tiny bit better
Considered the apostle's simple letter
Possibly to entertain angel unaware
